BRIDGESTONE’S DURAVIS R002 GROWS STEADILY IN IRELAND

Bridgestone say its new technology low rolling resistance Duravis R002 tyre has already been a success in the UK and Ireland with fitment by many leading fleets and independent operators, and impressive real world test results. The tyre is future proofed against upcoming environmental legislation and helps to make an immediate environmental contribution as soon as it is fitted by transport operators.

The Duravis R002 is designed to help fleets lower their operational costs over the life of the tyre with a decently low cost per kilometre combined with significantly optimised fuel efficiency. Designed for the versatility segment, the Duravis truck tyres are available to all types of on-road fleet operation and deliver outstanding wet grip. Today, increasing demands on the transportation industry mean that fleet owners and managers need to maximise their productivity and minimise operational costs more than ever. Arriving with a best-inclass ‘A’ grade on steer in wet grip2 - and winter ready, with 3PSFM and M+S markings on steer, drive and trailer - the Duravis R002 offers outstanding wet grip and a year-round performance.

As with all new truck and bus tyres, Bridgestone’s Duravis R002 tyres are supplied with electronic tagging system RFID (radiofrequency identification). With RFID, fleet customers enhance the traceability of their tyre casings, which ultimately helps to optimise their total cost of ownership. The RFID-enabled Duravis R002 tyres are able to work seamlessly with Bridgestone’s customisable tyre management and maintenance service package, Fleet Care, to bring significant value to fleets.
