BELFAST HOSTS OPTIMISED WASTE & LOGISTICS ROADSHOW & CONFERENCE

An Optimised Waste & Logistics (OWL) roadshow and conference was recently staged at the impressive Titanic Centre in Belfast; it was one of a number held throughout the UK this year.

OWL partners are individual organisation specialists working together and leading the way in both the development of fully integrated sustainable solutions and driving up standards of safety and compliance. Speakers at the Belfast conference included Jeff Shaw, Transport Manager, Ards & North Down Borough Council/ Vice Chair IRTE NI, Rachael Hook, Head of Recycling and Waste Sector, Climate Action Plan DAERA and Michael Hutchinson, from the South Eastern Regional College who highlighted the skills the future technician will need, how a repair facility needs to prepare for Net Zero 2050, and future career paths in the transport industry.
