SWAIN COUNTY The Swain County Farmer’s Market is open! Every Friday morning, May – October. Stop by the old barn by the river on Island Street in Bryson City for local, homegrown produce as well as baked goods, jellies and preserves, craft items, and more. 828-488-3681.
TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY The Transylvania Farmers’ Market is located in downtown Brevard, North Carolina, just off East Main Street behind Comporium, at the Corner of Jordan & Johnson Streets. They are a group of over 60 local farmers, producers and artists that come together every Saturday to provide area residents and visitors with vegetables, fruit, meat, honey, eggs, cheeses, mushrooms, herbs, flowers, plants, jams & jellies, vinegars & mustards, fermented vegetables, teas & tinctures, baked goods, breakfast foods, coffee, and handcrafted items. Throughout the year there the market offers numerous events, activities for kids, and weekly live music. (NOTE: at this time, during the COVID-19 situation, the Market has suspended all events and activities, including music.)
HAYWOOD’S HISTORIC FARMERS MARKET The Haywood Historic Farmers Market is held at the HART Theater Parking Lot (250 Pigeon Rd, Waynesville NC) every Saturday from 9:00am – 12:00pm rain or shine! Established in 2008, the market is a producer-only market, featuring produce sourced from Haywood or an adjacent county, meats, fish, eggs, honey, dairy, preserves, baked goods, heritage crafts, and much more!
