Sarge’s 16th Annual Dog Walk is planned for 9:00 am on Saturday, August 7, 2021. With the help of our generous donors and volunteers, SARGE’S continues to save and place lost and abandoned animals of Western North Carolina.

The Mountain Song Festival was created to bring the best in acoustic music including bluegrass, newgrass, old time, folk, jazz and traditional mountain music, as well as the many branches that stem from it, to our community and to further encourage music in our everyday lives. Come and enjoy food, local artists, children’s activities, picking sessions and area interests at a world-class venue!

MOUNTAIN HERITAGE DAY FESTIVAL

September 25, 2021 Western Carolina University in Cullowhee

The Annual Mountain Heritage Day is a combination old-fashioned mountain fair and showcase for Southern Appalachian music, arts, dance and song. There will be 3 live entertainment stages, juried arts and crafts booths, children's activities, heritage demonstrations, Cherokee stickball games, shapenote singing, chainsaw competition, baking contests, wagon rides, antique car show and more!
