FLAGS FOR HEROES

Thanks to the Rotary Club of Sylva for organizing the Flags For Heroes program, that was on display throughout the Independence Day holiday weekend at Mark Watson Park in Sylva. We hope everyone had a fun July 4. Don't ever take Independence for granted. Thanks to all who have fought and served to keep our freedoms.

C.A.T.S. ON STAGE AT ACTIVITIES SHOWCASE

“Our theatre group, C.A.T.S. (Connestee Amateur Theatrical Society), took part in our community's Activities Showcase to familiarize new owners that have purchased homes to become aware of the many clubs that exist within Connestee Falls and to encourage them to join or volunteer their services. Pictured with me are two others in our group. To my right is Sallee Ballard whose mountain home I listed & sold November of last year. Next to Sallee is Joan Toepfer, our Assistant Producer, who together with me sold tickets & designed many of the marketing flyers/posters. We signed up an amazing new 30 members to participate in the various roles. Sallee and I are the Make-up Artists & Costume designers. – Jan
