OUT & ABOUT IN WNC

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and that your 2022 New Year is off to a fantastic start! Our agents have been busy out and about in the community. From helping build communities up through service to celebrating with clients, below are a few fun highlights to share from our “Company News Feed.”

COMMUNITY CONNECTION

Christy Mitchell and Anette Chrisley had the pleasure of attending the Veterans Day Service in Bryson City. One thing they took away from one of the speakers was that if you take a look at yourself and you haven't done something nice or helpful for someone else...then you're a part of the problem. To all who have served and those currently serving, thank you is not nearly enough! Watch Video #thankyouisnotenough #VeteransDay2021 #bhhsgreatsmokysrealty #thankyou

The team at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Great Smokys Realty’s Bryson City office adopted two Swain County families for Christmas this year. This was a meaningful way to celebrate and reconnect with the true meaning of Christmas! Watch Video #bhhsgreatsmokysrealty #AFamilyForChristmas #makechristmasspecial #giveback

A quick clip from the second annual Holiday Fireworks held on Friday, Dec. 17 in downtown Sylva. Filmed from the historic courthouse looking down on the town with full moon in the background. These were presented by the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department and the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. A "Home for The Holidays" concert was held prior to the fireworks from 6:30-7:30 p.m., featuring Terri Lynn Queen and Scott Baker. Santa Claus also made an appearance! Watch Video

SYLVA CHRISTMAS PARADE

Jay Spiro spread holiday cheer by participating in the Town of Sylva Christmas Parade on December 5, 2021. He was part of the Sylva Rotary Club float and is pictured above next to the “Pink Nightmare” bunny from A Christmas Story. Well done, Jay!

CATS CAR DECORATING CONTEST

Jan Newsome belongs to a group called CATS (Connestee Amateur Theater Society). They held a progressive holiday luncheon that included a car decorating contest. Sure enough, Jan’s team “pulled ahead” and won with a car decorated as Santa’s Sleigh. Congratulations ladies!
