BHHS is known for being financially sound and being under the umbrella of Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway--it doesn't get any more impressive.

Proudest Moment: Training a group of R.E. sailing novice gal friends to participate in a sailboat race and coming in 2nd place in the Bikini Cup Race held on Clearwater Beach, FL. Our 42' sailboat was named "Perseverance". We won 1st place for our outstanding coordinating neon Bikini's. Maybe this should be considered one of the funniest, as our youngest 'sailorette' wearing a thong bikini had to climb to the top of the mast to fix something that broke during a critical maneuver in the race. If we're speaking strictly of real estate, I'll always remember one particular sale. I had been working with an upscale Buyer interested in waterfront property along the beaches of Clearwater & Belleair, Florida. Our office (Beachcomber R.E.) had a waterfront home that had recently been reduced. I told this Buyer that he needed to see this home. His response was that he had already seen it twice with 2 different Realtors. I replied that we have now investigated new construction & lot prices, seen properties requiring lots of renovations and this home was in immaculate condition and had one of the largest lots available in the area. We scheduled a showing. The Buyer spent maybe 20 minutes going through this home and submitted an offer shortly thereafter. At the time, in the 90's, it became the first $M sale in the community of Harbor Bluffs. PS--the listing agent (with my office) told me her Seller would never accept the offer. I insisted on being present when the Offer was submitted to the owners. The rest is history.
Biggest Challenge: Keeping up with technology.
Alarm Clock: Never use one. My subconscious springs me out of bed with a guilt trip of what has to be accomplished.
Perfect Day: In days gone by--loved a sunny day on the water in our powerboat with family & friends cruising the Intracoastal waterways off the Gulf Coast from Sand Key/CLW Beach to John's Pass in Maderia Beach & tying up at a dock for fresh seafood & a frozen Pina Colada. Now, still enjoy a blue
sky day while venturing through Sonoma County in northern CA wine regions of the Russian River, Dry Creek & Alexander Valley tasting the latest wine releases.
First Job: The owner of Household Finance came to my high school asking for a gal that was exceptional in math. The teacher gave them my name. Not only did I get a job, I got a loan for my first car. Super Hero Power: Being resourceful in problem solving and ability to overcome objections while making clients/customers feel at ease & comfortable with the purchase/selling process. Not to mention my theatrical make-up skills for our community Theatre Club.
Favorite Area Neighborhood: The small towns in western North Carolina all have their own charm--cobblestone streets, boutique Arts & Craft shops, specialty stores, talented artists, music venues, live play performances, holiday parades with street vendors, food & craft vendors, woodworkers, along with lakes, golf courses, waterfalls and the best of all -- friendly people. I live in Brevard for all of the above but frequent Hendersonville, Cashiers, Highlands, Lake Lure & Highlands often.
Inspiration: I was fortunate to have an excellent mentor when I first entered Corporate Life. Having someone not only believe in your talents and capabilities but then giving you the latitude to operate independently on your own decisions afforded me an opportunity to design Company policies, be responsible for a multi-million-dollar department budget and interface daily with Corporate executives and employees in real estate related matters. That experience paved the way for my future endeavors. Read More & Connect.
