A specialty train excursion featuring 3 samples of local craft beer on-board and a final sample when we stop off at the layover, at Innovation Station in Dillsboro, NC. Every ‘Beer Run’ has a fun theme to help get into the party mood but also makes every run unique and one of a kind. With Craft Beer and a Themed menu to match, you’ll be treated and transported as we cruise through the Smoky Mountains while enjoying a night in ‘Beer Country.’

Hellbender 20 Miler Relay Canoe Race

Headwaters Outfitters, Rosman NC

Upper French Broad River Fest/The Hellbender is 20-mile canoe race from Headwaters to Hap Simpson. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place trophies awarded in “20 Miler Relay Race”. Award for Best Team Costume. Registration includes canoe, paddles, life jackets, t-shirt and transportation to & from the river if needed.

Sweet Corn Festival

Darnell Farms, Bryson City

Enjoy some fresh sweet corn grown at Darnell Farms. Great family entertainment with food trucks, vendors, crafts, bounce houses, face painting, games and a corn eating contest. Drive-in Movie and fireworks on Saturday night.

Artists from across the Southeast assemble in Maggie Valley to sell their handmade arts and crafts. This event is in its 31st year and has a huge following. Around 100 artisans will be on the field for this two-day, free event. 9AM - 4PM Both Days.

Hillbilly Jam

Maggie Valley Festival Grounds

Hillbilly Jam is a 2-day celebration of music, moonshine, and mountain living! Food, crafts, hillbillies & veteran bikers. Moonshiners of the Discovery Channel, Car, Bike Show and more. Tickets are $10 per day. Kids 10 and under free.

JULY 23

Off-Road Assault on Mt Mitchell

The Heart of Downtown Brevard

The Off-Road Assault on Mt Mitchell is a 60-mile MTB race with 10,500 feet of climbing. From Old Fort you climb up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and just below Mt Mitchell on beautiful Forest Service roads and unbelievable North Carolina single track. There are fully stocked rest stops approximately every 10 miles. Mt Mitchell peaks at 6684 ft and is the highest mountain east of the Mississippi river. The MTB race starts and finishes in the town of Old Fort, North Carolina and sits at around 1400 feet.
