April 11 - 16, 2022 5 stellar MTB routes in Pisgah National Forest

Pisgah has earned a growing reputation for having some of the best MTB trails in the USA, and this five-day, fully supported mountain bike endurance event delivers an unmatched sampler platter of some of the best singletrack in the country. The stage race course includes the Eastern United States’ most rugged trails. Come sample spring MTB riding in Pisgah National Forest with rhododendron tunnels, picturesque creek crossings, incredible leaf colors, and rooty, rocky singletrack. After spending a week in Brevard getting to know and appreciate the bounty of Pisgah National Forest, you won’t want to leave. This is a Mountain Bikers paradise!

BUNNY HOPPER EXPRESS

The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad introduces a new event for 2021 - The Bunny Hopper Express. Passengers will be on the lookout for those train hopping bunnies who have snuck on board to take a free ride! Festivities include an Easter egg hunt with prizes, a giveaway bag with activities to enjoy during the train ride, and a yummy Easter treat for our junior railroaders to enjoy at the picturesque event location. EASTER HAT PARADE IN DILLSBORO

Bring your Easter Bonnet to wear in the Easter Hat Parade! Meet the Easter Bunny and helpers who will be handing out Easter Candies. Egg hunt begins at noon on Webster Street. Registration for the parade begins at 12 noon, and the parade starts from Dillsboro Town Hall at 2:00 pm. Calling all ladies, gentlemen, children and dogs. Grab your hat and join in the fun during Dillsboro’s delightfully unpretentious annual Easter Hat Parade!

2022 FRIENDS OF THE LAKE 5K

April 16, 2022 Nanci Weldon Open-Air Gym, Lake Junaluska

Take part in the Friends of the Lake 5K Road Race & Walk and enjoy a scenic run or walk around Lake Junaluska while supporting the lake! The 5K is a charitable event to support the recreation opportunities of Lake Junaluska through the Friends of the Lake program. All profits from this event go to the annual maintenance and improvement of the recreation areas at Lake Junaluska!

WHITE SQUIRREL 5K RUN/WALK 2022

The course treats runners to a mix of historic homes, the railroad arts district, farm land and the scenic beauty of the Sylvan Valley and the surrounding mountains. The race course is a circle - an out and back, with the starting line also serving as the finish line. The Brevard Rotary thanks everyone who supports our races!
