introduction Like all good partnerships, 4 th Dimension is founded on complementary skills and a singular objective. Principals Mihir and Rinki Kotak represent the dovetailing of distinct skill-sets into a practice that believes in attention to detail, making a difference to every space, intense forethought in every design program and impeccable execution. 4th Dimension was established in 2003, soon after Mihir and Rinki achieved their architectural degrees with distinction from IES College of Architecture, Bandra, Mumbai. Their work together started with designing their own duplex living space, which went on to win the Indian Architect & Builder award for the Young Designer of the Year.
What started as a workforce of two in a 40-square-foot office, has burgeoned today into a sprawling 2000-squarefoot office with a staff of over 36. Complementing the acumen and expertise of its principals, 4 th Dimension has within its fold a gamut of experienced consultants, ranging from structural and service consultants to product designers, VR designers, and even paint specialists who create tailor-made textures – proving the firm’s claim of attention to the minutest of details.
Elegant designs, quick problem-solving, clarity of communication and transparency in execution have been stepping stones for the duo to hand-hold their clients to transform their lifestyle. Enthusiasm towards every project, skillful detailing and designing, timely completion of projects, intensive teamwork and a constant endeavour to achieve optimum client satisfaction in every project have been the contributing factors to the gamut of accomplishments the firm has achieved in a considerably short period. Given their user-centric programmes, the company has enjoyed meteoric success in their interior architecture projects with several engagements from repeat clients. Strong and positive word of mouth publicity from satisfied clients has also given the company several landmark architectural projects: 4 th Dimension has been awarded with the designing of one of the tallest, state-of-art tower to a magnum project of mass housing spreading over the length and breadth of the country.
The principals’ mammoth appetite for creating responsive designs with a wide spectrum of variants is hard-coded in a team that is passionate about leaving a mark on the design skyline of the city. Proposed Hotel @ Dehradun (100 keys) A 100 room resort in Dehardun, right next to airport aims to give luxuries unmatched. We aim to create a hotel where one will want to come always and find something new every time they visit.
Cilantro : a boutique hotel (15 keys) Situated in Sujol, Bihar the hotel is a small project with 15 rooms, resturants and banquet. As per clients requirements we have designed everything, from the form to the staff uniform.
