Josef Fares is a Crystal-Simorgh winning film director who was born in Beirut, Lebanon and moved to Sweden when he was 10 years old. Variety declared him one of 10 upcoming directors to watch in 2006. That same year he won the Nordic Council Film Prize for his film “Zozo.” Since then Josef has received several awards and prizes, both as writer and director, and his last feature film “Leo,” in which he also appeared, was selected for the Focus section in the 58th Edition of the Berlin International Film Festival in 2008.
Starbreeze is a Stockholm, Sweden based developer and one of the few public traded developers in the world. Starbreeze is traded on Aktietorget. Starbreeze was founded in 1998, making it one of the oldest studios in Europe. Starbreeze was based for many years in Uppsala, a small town about 40 min north of Stockholm. Last year Starbreeze acquired Overkillsoftware, a studio from southern part of Stockholm. Starbreeze are know for games like, Enclave, Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, The Darkness, Syndicate, Payday: The Heist (from the Overkillsoftware Studio) and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Current games in production are Payday 2 and STORM. We build games from our own design and always strive to establish franchises that can be branched off into other markets. We live and die by gameplay and we are becoming a pioneer when it comes to launching large productions online.
