Transport to definitive care The UCR System has been developed with input from combat and tactical medics, patrol officers, medical professionals, and civilians, all who may find themselves in a first responder role in an active shooter or multiple assault situation. The Hartford Consensus notes the number one cause of preventable death by penetrating trauma is hemorrhage. The UCR Slingpack, Thigh Rig, and IFAK Pouch were developed to provide ready access to hemorrhage control supplies.

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) brought together senior leaders from medical, law enforcement, fire/rescue, EMS first responders, and military experts to produce a document that will stimulate discussion and ultimately lead to strategies to improve the survival chances of victims. They produced a paper titled “Improving Survival from Active Shooter Events”, otherwise known as the Hartford Consensus. 1

Gender Specific Fit

Adjustable Waistband: Made with a selfadjusting or elastic waistbands for flexibility when carrying an inside the waistband (IWB) holster.

Kneepad Ready: Product is built to accommodate 5.11’s neoprene knee pad (59008 available separately).

Air Flow: Constructed with mesh panels, vents and/or a cape back for maximum airflow.

Laptop Ready: Built with a laptop-compatible compartment.

Men: Use your chest and neck measurements to determine the proper size for tops, outerwear or jumpsuits; use your waist measurement (where you wear your pants) for bottoms and belts. Women: Use your chest measurement to determine the proper size for tops, outerwear or jumpsuits; use your hip measurements for bottoms; use your waist measurement (where you wear your pants) for belts. Conversion: Should you need to convert between metric and imperial sizes: 1 inch = 2.54cm and 1 cm = 0.39 inches.
