Issue There are many tramps and poor people in Beijing West Railway Station because the passenger volume here is very huge. Wandering around the street corners and peristeles, they make the road more crowded. Therefore, I want to make a mini-building for the them to rest. I think it will in some way relieve the crowded situation in Beijing West Railway Station. overcrowding problem

My design inspiration comes from seaweed, which represents green and tenacity. I have drawn many draft designs and searched lots of technologies about seaweed. The architectural style of capsule hotel and interior space characteristics were borrowed to complete this project. Small as the interior space is, it can provide a comfort environment.

I have referred to design idea of cesare griffa, which is based on particular characteristics of micro algae biological. They absorb lots of carbon dioxide and release oxygen by photosynthesis. And they can also transfer luminous energy to bio-energy. Cesare Griffa points out that micro algae biological has created an incredible new world in renewable energy and brings hope to realize a greener future. If this lifeless material can be used by us to make building surface capable of photosynthesis, the global warming issues will also been relieved. 6

The Living Space project
This is an ordinary residential project, but I would like to use this project to reflect the personal privacy issues in the information age. The protagonists of the story are a couple. The father was a bank employee and the mother was a full-time wife. They had a ten-year-old cute girl. Due to their jobs, they moved to a first-tier city. And then they moved to a residential area which was closer to the school because they had just arrived in the big city. Their daughter was in a suburban school, so they wanted to buy a house near the school, which had an indoor garden, two bedrooms and a study. The father always wanted to have an indoor garden.

LOCATION CHINA HUNAN PROVINCE CHANGSHA CITY YUELU DISTRICT
This is a remote aera yet there are still schools and shops near it. There are many empty houses here. The area which is far from bus stations and subway stations, does not enjoy convenient transportation.

After a long development, human beings have learned how to use tools. Later, people learned how to create tools, which declares human beings are no longer vulnerable species. People use their own wisdom to recognize nature, transform nature and prolong their lives. Inventions and creation have brought us tremendous changes in our lives, which has also made mankind a superior species.
12
The Internet has connected the world, shortening the distance among people and enabling human beings to communicate with the world without the restrictions of time and place. Internet is a huge platform that brings people together. Now, it is hard for us to live without Internet. We share our lives on Internet, communicating with different people. We can also build up our own private space on Internet. However, in fact, all the things we do on Internet is actually transparent. Our chatting history and online shopping traces are all being monitored. Even personal information can be exposed. Sometimes we may receive a phone call or an e-mail from strangers. Our privacy is gradually invaded. The closer our relationship with the internet is, the more transparent our personal privacy will be.

After breakfast, the father put on his suit, preparing to go to work. Suddenly he received a phone call asking him whether to buy a house or not. The father was confused how they could know his number. But he had to go to work
Every morning they sat together to have breakfast. The father watched news and the mother made breakfast. Kid waited for breakfast. Then the father shared news: a TV star had divorced his wife. The father could not help but sighed: “TV stars also need private space.
The mother opened FACEBOOK to check if there was something. she looked at the beautiful pictures shared by her friends. And suddenly it showed someone nearby wanted to add her as a friend, the mother was a very introverted person so she refused.
She continued to look at her social circle and suddenly she saw some girls sharing the private part of their bodies. She was shocked.
17
The mother looked outside the window, it seemed the building was getting transparent as if she could see everyone's life.
18
The Voyeurism Space project
Every window has a different story and every window has a different culture.
19
The function of the window is to connect the space of the indoor space and the outdoor. Children are curious about the toys in the window
Mice also have curiosity about food.
Curiosity is the ability we were born with. At the same time, it is a kind of animal instinct. Curiosity not only helps us explore the unknown things, it also helps us to learn the world and explore the world. Apart from it, curiosity is the power of the cognition of the world, especially when we are children. However, as we grow up, curiosity becomes weak gradually.
20
The behavior of voyeur is an initiative behavior with a purposeful act. Moreover, they want to satisfy their curiosity.
Voyeuristic people are in the state of being monitored and it is very hard for them to find themselves being monitored. However, some people want to be exposed.

REAR WINDOE Direction Alfred Hitchcock;
The film tells a story about peeping in which the hero of the film finds a case of murder by accident and thus provokes murderous disaster. This film is filled with horror, homicide, privacy, tenseness and erotic elements. The hero has to stay in the apartment because of his leg injury. Being extremely bored, he becomes interested in the privacy of his neighbors and peeps at different residents through their windows with the help of telescope. The heroine has criticized his immoral behavior, but the hero still keeps peeping. Then he suspects that his neighbor is committing a murder and proves the homicide with a series of evidence and discovery. The hero is thus near to death because of it. When the hero sends the heroine to look for evidence in the suspect’s home, the atmosphere becomes tense. The suspect goes back home suddenly and questions the heroine. The heroine finds it dangerous and signals to the hero for help. At that moment, the suspect finds the hero and the peeping situation begins to reverse. The film reaches to the climax when the peeper is pried by the suspect. Hitchcock says that films satisfy people’s desire for peeping as well as their desire for dream. Peeping and being pried is a way of expression by the director and constitute the major conflict in the film. Peeping comes from the curiosity of the hero. Though he knows it is immoral, he still peeps. As a matter of fact, there are many people peeping in the real life. Some of them are unconscious of their behavior while some are aware of it. We cannot say that peeping is totally immoral because we often use this kind of behavior to fight for justice.

Distance research
0-0.5m
0.6-1.2m
1.3-1.4m
4m
The space distance of human can be divided into four types: intimate distance (0-0.5m); personal distance (0.6-1.2m); social distance (1.3-1.4m) and public distance (4m). Intimate distance is a distance of mutual trust among people. It is also a private space for people and one has to be allowed to enter this space. People will get nervous or even afraid if a stranger enters this space. Personal distance: this distance in most places is the minimum acceptable distance for people. We can observe each other's faces in this distance and although we are not as close as intimate distance, we may still be afraid of this distance in public. Social distance: we can still see each other's faces but this distance will not produce intimacy. And if people are out of this distance, they will lose the interest of communicating. Public distance is the distance in which people can neglect others. This distance is used in some specific places, such as customer-oriented product introduction, student's academic report and stage plays. From more than 30,000 years ago when the signs of civilization were found to the modern society in 21st century, human beings have transformed their living space from shanty caves into perfect home with water, electricity and wifi.

Question What kind of emotion is carries on this space Answer
When people are peeping, they will have different emotions, such as anxiety, nervousness, fear, excitement and curiosity. I would like to create these emotions in a space
Design purpose Mind Map
All people have a desire to show or to hide themselves. It is a desire to be developed and transformed; it is a voyeuristic or exhibitionistic desire. Voyeuristic desire in everyday life may enriching the life of others as it represents the interest in the life and thoughts of other people. These desires are one of the important factors in designing space and have the potential to enrich spatial design. The Voyeurism space explores the relationship of seeing and being seen in terms of concealing and revealing. Space would be newly defined by how much inhabitants wanted to reveal and/or conceal. It is not about stillness in architecture but about the process and procedure of experiencing space

Trying to use the art of device to express different emotions.
27
What this model wants to show is the relation between voyeurisms and it also shows the relation between the active and the passive. The window has two sides, a big one and a small one. The big side of the window is a voyeuristic view. On the contrary, the small side at the other end is the perspective of the voyeur.
28
Structure
The space is like a maze. It has different routes. However, there is only one route that leads to the export. In the space, different lines will bring different outcomes. The whole space can create a mysterious sense in order to draw you into this space.

The Abbey Pumping Station project Two week project(year two)
The Abbey Pumping Station is Leicester’s Museum of Science and Technology and displays the industrial, technological and scientific heritage of the City. Originally built in 1891, the Pumping Station was designedto pump sewage to a new treatment works elsewhere. The main building houses 4 newly restored Gimson Beam engines and these are a key feature within the Pumping Station. We will need re design the ground floor of the Abbey Pumping Station, we will need to re-plan the gallery to include the different topics (outlined above), then take one area/theme and work this up in detail. As the current exhibition space lacks cohesion and an obvious route, There is a desire to create a clear visitor route through the space that is logical and easy to navigate. The target market for this project is predominantly: •Schools - specifically pupils studying at Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7years) and Key Stage 2 (ages 7-11years). •Family audience •As well as members of the general public. 31
Inspiration
Multi-functional box
My inspiration was from Yayoi Kusama of obligation room, which brings me visual perception. As a result, I apply polked dot element into the celling. When the sunlight shines in, the shadow of various dots will appear on the floor.
Cceiling
For this project featuring a unique nature light, I create a special celling. I perforate the celling surface, so when the sunlight shines in, the beautiful shadow will appear.
The space needs to be multi-functional and movable, so I design some detachable boxes. These boxes can freely move and combine with each other. There are various combining ways for them. When it is a single box, clothes racks can be fixed in it, so the space can play a role of the pop up retail. When two boxes combine with each other, it can be for study. Besides, when three boxes are together, it can be a display space. These three boxes are like a triangle, and by doing so, I hope it shows the interactivity and fluidity of the space.
