Trail maintenances and guided nature hikes are listed below with meeting locations. Long pants, long sleeves, hiking shoes/boots, insect repellant, sunscreen and water are recommended. For trail maintenance, please bring gloves, a rake or loppers and for hikes, you may want binoculars and/or a camera. NATURE CENTER MONTHLY MEETINGS

The Nature Center’s monthly meeting will resume on Wednesday, November 2 and will continue to be held on the first Wednesday of each month. The November meeting will be held in the Plantation Manor. Please note change of time and venue.

Everyone is welcome to attend our monthly meetings! Wednesday, November 16 at 9:30 am

A regular meeting of the Board of Directors will be held on the Nature Center enclosed porch.

NATURE CENTER VANDALIZED!

The following statement is from the Nature Center President, Dolly Akers. It was posted on the TGO Nature Center Facebook Group. Reprinted with permission. To our valued members and those who support the Nature Center in TGO. By now, most of you have heard that the Nature Center was vandalized on Friday, October 14, 2022. There was a lot of damage. The glass in the door from the porch was broken to gain access into the main building. Also, the window to the left of the main entrance door was broken. There is glass and blood scattered throughout the building. A person was found sleeping in the conference room. The police were called and the person was arrested. Our insurance provider has been notified and we will be working with them to determine the next step toward cleaning the building. Please be patient. This may take some time to resolve. The main drive to the Nature Center has been taped off and we ask that everyone not cross through the barricade. Thank you so much for your continued support. We try to provide our members and the TGO community valuable information so we can all learn and live "In Harmony With Nature." Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
