I was watching the news last night and at 11 minutes before 7:00, I swear the TV screen switched to a commercials only station. So I decided that is what I needed to do with SnapShot. I needed to publish an advertisement for an important service we have that you many not know about. So, I said to myself, this is the perfect time for me to present to you Nancy Presant. She needs to be advertised. You need to know about the remarkable service she o ers to the TGO community. Sure, at TGO our pickle ball courts are free. So is the shu e board, and the tennis court and the swimming pools. But, did you know that we have a free Photo Tour Guide service too? It is NANCY’S PHOTO TOUR SERVICE! - I just now made up that name. It is a service that spends hours researching the Internet, scanning local papers, and making many phone calls to fi nd interesting places to visit and photograph around TGO and Central Florida. Places with wildlife, parades, festivals, classes, history, and more. Then the service takes care of all the arrangements of letting people know, organizing transportation, planning an agenda, collecting entrance fees if required, and fi nding dinner reservations if appropriate. The service encourages photographers with years of experience

to join the tour and stand willing to answer questions about how to compose a specifi c photo situation, how to use camera settings, or how to try a video shot. I call it a seamless experience where Nancy takes care of all the details and you can focus on photography and socializing. Since 2006, when she moved here, Nancy’s meticulous research and tireless scouting ensure you get the best possible experience from the moment you gather at the Manor Parking lot until you return home to jump into your golf cart and head for your computer where you can download the hundreds of shots taken that day! Pick up your camera or cell phone and join her tours of our Florida area, often with world renowned photographers who live in TGO. You will get some great photos, easy learning, and fun laughs over a meal after a day or evening of touring! See some of Nancy’s past tours in the box to the right. Nancy said, “Wildlife is everywhere in TGO and Central Florida, but the tours we arrange also focus on providing some variety. Street photography (people doing daily things) is very popular. I also like photographing landscapes, cemetery scenes, and images of abandoned and dilapidated buildings and other reminders of the past.

This fall I will organize new tours and some replays of ones we have done in the past. Also, I am constantly researching interesting workshops and classes to attend. For example, I found a workshop called “Zoo Photography Techniques.” This is an exciting opportunity to learn techniques to take great zoo photos!
