Tomorrow by 4australianboys (Tumblr) "Is it true?" you asked again, for what seemed like the millionth time. You had a lump in your throat that was slowly getting bigger and bigger the longer Calum stayed silent. You and Calum had been fighting a lot recently, especially due to the fact that the tabloids had stirred up some rumours of Calum cheating on you. Despite Calum’s reassurance before, you couldn’t help but have doubts, especially now, with both of you at your breaking points. Calum finally broke the silence and started “Y/N, darling you know I love you-” “Goddamn it Calum just tell me the truth!” you screamed, cracking completely. Calum pulled away for a moment, and you felt the tears welling up in your eyes. "Well? Is it true? Are you cheating on me?" you asked your vision beginning to blur as the tears brimmed your eyes. Calum’s brown eyes began to water up as well before he bit his lip and replied "Yes. It’s true." You felt your heart drop and the lump in your throat seemed to choke you, while your body suddenly went numb. You could barely believe what he had said. No….no, you silently thought. "I’m so sorry Y/N…." Calum said and you looked up at him, before a wave of anger washed over you. "Go. Leave," you said pointing to the door. Calum reeled back, shocked. Calum then began to negotiate with you. "Y/N please can we at least try and talk about it?" he begged and you then snapped bitterly, tears beginning to roll down your cheeks. "No, Calum, I need you to go, now." Calum still didn’t budge. You then screamed “Just LEAVE you ASSHOLE!” Calum then bit his lip, a tear streaming down his face. Once the door shut however, you couldn’t contain yourself anymore. You lost it, as you began to sob

uncontrollably, crying and howling in a heaped mess on the floor. You could barely do anything after that. You couldn’t even walk by the bedroom without shaking and also because you knew the memories would come flooding back. The boys kept trying to call you, text you, and find any possible way to reach you. The house phone kept ringing constantly, and you eventually had gotten fed up with it and ripped it out of its socket. There had been countless messages, but you couldn’t even be bothered to listen to a single one That night it was difficult to sleep, due to your restless tossing and turning. The shared flat felt so empty without Calum, and it was such an alien feeling to not have his arms wrapped around you and keeping you close. The next morning you heard banging on the door and you groaned as you rolled onto your stomach, rubbing your swollen eyes. You saw that your phone read 4:13. Who the hell was banging the door at 4 in the morning? You

blinked a bit, and stumbled over the door, looking through the peep hole to see it was none other than Calum. You could tell he was in yesterday’s clothes, and his hair was dishevelled. His usually bright brown puppy dog eyes seemed downcast. You had your hand on the doorknob before Calum said “Y/N, darling, I know you don’t want to see me, but can you at least…..I want to show you something.” Your hand gripped on the door knob as you bit your lip. ”Just wear some sweats and a sweater. It’s a little chilly outside,” Calum said and you sighed as you quickly slipped on some sweats and grabbed a hoodie before slipping on some shoes. You stepped outside and locked the flat up as you glared at Calum. Calum held his hand out, but you shoved your hands in your pocket and Calum bit his lip as you two headed to the car, and he started it up and started what was already feeling like the longest drive of your life. You stared out the window watching you leave behind the concrete jungle and head out towards the open. "Where the hell are we going?" you asked as Calum then said "Somewhere special." You didn’t say anything after that, but your stomach kept churning, and the anticipation of what was to come was killing you. Finally, after driving for nearly an hour in dead silence, you arrived at your destination: a hill. ”You drove us all the way out to the middle of nowhere for a hill?” you asked and Calum said “Just follow me.” You two began to walk up the hill, as the sky slowly began to lighten, and you were able to make out everything so you weren’t falling over your own two feet. You pulled your sweater closer to you, the coolness of the morning getting to you. Finally you and Calum reached the top as you two stood and you caught your breath. ”Just look back that way,” Calum said pointing behind

you and you turned back to see where you had just climbed. The sky had erupted into a watercolour canvas of oranges and yellows, traces of pink and purple even in there. There were wisps of clouds beginning to trail in the sky, and the traces of a couple blinking stars. The sun was a ball of fire, bright as it rose over the landscape, highlighting everything that it could. Your breath had gotten caught in your throat as you were taken aback by the beauty of just a sunrise. ”So that’s why we’re here,” you said aloud and you turned to Calum as he gazed at the sunrise himself. He turned to you and then shrugged before saying “I wanted to bring you out here because I wanted to let you know….I just want a second shot. I know we’ve been rough, and I trying to distract myself with a girl wasn’t going to help. Not that she even did. She just made it worse. I could barely live with myself after I did that.” You stood in silence, as you began to hear a couple birds beginning to sing their morning songs. ”Darling I just want a second chance. It sounds so selfish of me, but I know that we can work through it. We’ll just….start fresh. A new beginning,” Calum said and you bit your lip looking at him. "Well the flat was pretty empty without you anyways," you said smiling before Calum held out his hand and you entwined your hands together before heading back, a new chapter ahead of you two.
