Purpose The Purpose of this presentation is to….
Teach people how to protect water. Let people know about water pollution. Help the world. Teach people that you have to take care of the environment.
Water Cycle Sunlight causes water from oceans to dry up into a gas called water vapor. The vapor goes up to the atmosphere and condensates in clouds. When there is too much vapor in the clouds and the air is cold the vapor condenses back into water and it can rain or snow. This is called precipitation. When this happens the water goes back to the oceans, seas, rivers.
Acid Rain The acid rain is the rain that is contaminated. And it is caused by the smokes of the factories, cars and other fumes. Those smokes contaminate the vapor which rise into the atmosphere to form clouds. The acid rain is formed when water precipitates from the contaminated clouds. The consequence is that acid rain kills animals, plants and trees because it pollutes rivers and streams.
Types of water •Fresh Water: We can find it in rivers, streams and underground. We can drink it. •Frozen Water: We can find it in the Polar Regions. We can't drink it. •Salt Water: We can find it in oceans and seas. We can't drink it.
Water Pollutants Home owners:: They use chemicals, pesticides, weed killers and fertilizers on their crops. They contaminate water and air.
• Farmers: They use chemicals, pesticides, weed killers and fertilizers on their lands and they pollute the air and the water.
• Cars: The smoke of the cars and the smoke of the factories rise into the atmosphere and mix with water vapor. When it rains, the rain is acid.
• Oil: It gets into the water and kills plants and wildlife in large numbers.
Wetlands • Wetlands act like big sponges that absorb water and help cleaning it . But they are in danger because people pollute them.
Consequences of waste in water •
Human and animal waste in water produces bacteria and viruses that can make living things die. Too much waste absorbs the oxygen from water and fish can't breathe.
How can we stop polluting the water?
Use safer aerosols., Use natural cleansers in your home , Avoid using pesticides, Don't dump rubbish, Waste not (put water in the refrigerator to keep it cold), Repair leaky toilets right away, Only water the yard when it really needs it, Sweep off walks, don’t hose them.
Conclusions • We have to stop polluting water because it is very important for human and animal life. Water is running scarce. • If we pollute water, we can die. • We have to clean the rivers, ocean, and lakes. • If we don’t clean water, we can kill living organisms. • We have to stop throwing petrol or oil to
