Bats don’t always cause harm, and Kolb expresses that due to cartoons and Halloween, people typically have a misconception about them.

“Bats will not suck your blood or dive down at you,” said Jill. “They’re not intentionally trying to come after you. They’re more scared of you than you are scared of them.”

Bats play an essential role in the environment but have been at risk of extinction and must remain protected.

If a bat has made your home or business their home, Jill says to not be afraid to call. As a safe mitigation company, they are there to protect bats and your home.

When asked about what the future holds for CP Bat Mitigation, Jill responded, “We’re growing to a corporate level, and we want to be able to bring more awareness to other cities.”

I have five pets - three dogs and two cats.

I have three children, ages 23, 17, and 11.

When I was 14, my twin sister and I took over our older brother’s garbagehauling business.

My twin sister is four minutes older than me and jokes that I was the leftovers. I always tell her Mom saved the best for last.

I was Miss Huron in 1992, and in that same year I was in the Miss South Dakota Pageant. Because of that honor, I was able to meet Garth Brooks at the South Dakota State Fair.

We buy the finest corn-fed angus and age it on premise for a minimum of 28 days before cutting. From our rustic, comfortable, cowboy atmospshere to our special hi-temp infrared broiler to sear in juices, Dakotah Steakhouse was built to serve steak.

Summertime Bliss

Platte Creek Campground is one of my favorite places to be in the summer, from sitting around the campfire to boating on the Missouri River - I have no complaints.

Whether I’m with my kids at home or with the entire family for the holidays, we love playing the card came Nertz

Tokyo, Mitchell’s Japanese cuisine restaurant, is one of my favorite places to eat. My favorite roll is the Spicy Devil, paired with a delicious glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s heaven on Earth!

Pickleball Champion

Up until there is snow on the ground, you can find me out on the Pickleball court with my sister and friends.

Busy Weekends

During the winter months, our weekends are filled with taking my 11-year-old daughter to hockey games where she plays on the U14 team.

Growing up, my siblings and I would . Since then I’ve brought my children in on the wild game, and we play it during the holiday season when we’re all

Master Chef

Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies, and it’s even better when I have a house full of people. A few of my favorites are Chili, , and Creamy Italian Chicken

Hometown Traditions

An annual tradition that I have with my family is to celebrate the Parade of Lights in my hometown of Wessington. We all get together and turn that weekend into our family Christmas.

Love for Lodge

Whether it’s summer or winter, I love going to my brother-in-law’s hunting lodge, Dakota Wild Wings in Miller. Spending time in the snow, on the pickleball court, or practicing shooting are some of my favorite things to do there.

Mitchell’s Go-To

The Depot Pub & Grill is one of my all-time favorite spots to hang out, from the food to the service, it’s an amazing place. It’s my go-to for hosting events, celebrating family, and unwinding with friends.
