AQUATICS
There’s still time to make a splash this summer! Gahanna Swimming Pool (GSP) and Hunters Ridge Pool (HRP) are open from 11:45 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. SaturdaySunday.
*GSP will close for the season on Aug.12. *HRP will switch to back-to-school hours beginning August 14.
After Aug. 14, hours will be noon to 6 p.m. weekends and Labor Day. Labor Day is the last day of operations.

ACTIVE SENIORS
Members and guests are invited to the “Gahanna Senior Center Re-Open House,” 1-3 p.m. July 15 at the Gahanna Senior Center (480 Rocky Fork Blvd.). The Center will reopen for in-person member activities, clubs, and gatherings. Become a member! Take part in year-round activities including bingo, a golf league, a walking club, and more.

YOGA MOVEMENT CLASS
Join Sue Johnson for a yoga-based movement class at Gahanna Golf Course Clubhouse (220 Ridenour Rd.) to soothe body and spirit. While yoga is a spiritual practice coming from India and involves “eight limbs” or focuses, this class is all about movement and poses. Learn to stretch and strengthen your muscles, providing a release of tension and improving balance and bone strength. All levels welcome. Ages 14+.

Paddle Gahanna: Hours Vary @ Friendship Park and Creekside Marina
Kayak rentals at Friendship Park and kayak or paddle boat rentals at Creekside Park can be made through PaddleGahanna.com. Rentals must include an adult (age 18+). $10 per boat/30-minute ride.
Outdoor Adventure Day @ Friendship Park
1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8 Explore the great outdoors with 20-minute sampler sessions of recreation activities including kayaking, creek exploration, outdoor fire safety (with s'mores!), and wildlife ID. Open to all ages. $5 per person. ExploreGahannaParks.com

Bally Sports Group
Bally Sports Group is a youth sports programming company composed of educators, teachers, coaches, former athletes, and sport management students who specialize in providing quality youth sports programs and camps. Gahanna Parks & Rec is proud to partner with BSG in offering these programs:
• Soccer Discover the basics of dribbling, passing, scoring, and game play. Classes begin in September.
• Little Sluggers T-Ball Introduces players to batting, base running, fielding, throwing, and catching. Provides children with a fun and positive T-ball experience. Classes begin in September.
Amazing Athletes of Central Ohio
Fall Session: Sept. 16 – Oct. 21 Amazing Athletes is a developmental physical program. Teaching methods are based on age, with tot classes focused on discovery-based learning in structured physical activities. Older classes encourage the exploration and development of athletic skills through different sports.

Edington Family Fitness (Programs are Virtual)
A master CrossFit Games World Champion, Shellie Edington participated in the CrossFit Games five times from 2013 to 2017 placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th in the world. She founded Tumblin4Kids in 2000.
• Fitness with Shellie: Virtual / Ages 18+ Each workout is led by Coach Shellie and consists of joint mobilization, full body warm up, and strength development. Workouts can accommodate a variety of fitness levels. Sessions are offered from 6-6:45 a.m., Monday-Wednesdays. Options: July 5-28, Aug. 2-31, Sept. 6-29, Oct. 4-27. Register: Webtrac.Gahanna.gov
• Fit Kids Eight different virtual Fit Kids athletic sessions will be offered for children, ages 4-5 (4:30-5 p.m.) years and 6-10 (5:15-5:45 p.m.) years. Single day sessions are offered on Mondays, July 5, Aug. 2, Sept. 6 or Oct. 4. Register: Webtrac.Gahanna.gov
