Initial Counseling & Pre-Separation Counseling
Monday, February 1 & 16, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Are you separating or retiring from military service? Fulfill your Initial Counseling and Pre-separation briefing requirement at this mandatory briefing preferably 18 months before separating and 24 months prior to retiring, but mandated NLT 365 days before leaving the service.
SMC 2.O INTRO Program
Tuesday, February 2, 8 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Newcomers are briefed on the exciting world of the Air Force and the cutting edge technology of SMC 2.0. They will be provided with informational briefings, as well as a base tour, and civilian members will be sworn in. DoD Education Track (2 days)
February 3-4, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Participants will create a resume, learn about the job search process - Interview Techniques Salary Negotiations and labor market information.

Wednesday, February 10, 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Military 101 for new spouses. Free food, prizes, games and presentations to help you get up to date on military benefits and information.
February 8-10, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. The three day format covers a broad range of topics from financial planning to job search to a VA benefits briefing. Spouses are highly encouraged to attend. This workshop is mandatory for all separating members, highly recommended for retiring military members.
Transition Assistance Program TAP
February 24 | 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Virtually via WebEx. Please join us for our quarterly Q & A Session with Mr.Derrick Kerr POC for the DoD SkillBridge Program. During this session Mr. Kerr will be answering questions you may have about the DoD SkillBridge Program.

Thursday, February 11, 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Learn budgetary basics, saving tips, and how to survive in this high cost area. This is a mandatory class for all O1 & O2 who are new to Los Angeles AFB. All military and civilians may attend.
Department of Labor Employment Track (2 days)
February 17-18, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. This is a great new workshop part of the Transition Assistance Program (TAP). It is a monthly workshop where Transitioning Service Members, Spouses, Retirees and Veterans can build a resume for a civilian or a federal job and learn interview techniques, salary negotiations and labor market information.
Key Spouse Initial Training
Thursday, February 18, 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Key Spouses are appointed by a Commander to promote individual, family and unit readiness. Consult with the
Commander, then call A&FRC to schedule the training.
Managing Your Move
Thursday, February 18, 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Get good advice on planning your next PCS from the clinic, traffic management and finance.
10 Steps to a Federal Job
Tuesday, February 23, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Build a resume for federal employment using the “10 Steps to A Federal Job” method. We MUST have at least 4 people registered in order to have this class.
