/ Ideation After several explorations, I chose samurai as a Japanese element to represent Asics. The feature of the samurai's costume represents the past. The gel technology and the brand new lacing system represent the present.

/ Concept The tongue is constructed by three layers of lycra fabric Lace connects all the lycra fabric and tightens on the heel. The top line of the shoe came from the helmet of the samurai. The clear TPU and the Asics GEL provide comfort and stability for the shoes.

I WANT TO MAKE Once, I watched BLADE RUNNER. The replicant in the movie was bound by many rules but still loved life and shinned even at the last moment of limited life. This story has completely changed my view of life.

One day, I saw a series of sneakers when I walked through a street. I was attracted by their color at the first glimpse. But when I started to watch them carefully, I was so touch because their structure and material were so inspiring. The sneakers made me recall the movie that changed my life - BLADE RUNNER.

Although it looked like a bundle,the stripe is a central system of sneaker, it combined several functions such as fitting and shoelace.

The stripe reminded me that if people were in the right position,some disadvantages would be turned into advantages.

The upper looks more like a bundle, its stripes cover more areas and provide more adjustable options

The red stripes and other functional details on the grey sneaker gave me strong visual impact. Every part plays important role for the sneaker.

The translucent uppers represent the fog which had always blocked me from the freedom, under the upper is the staples and laces representing the past made me hard to breathe.

The top strip and sole are made up by unedited material which tells me things don't need to be perfect. On the medial side, there is full of staples which is similar to the wounds in deep down my heart.

The rear wheel still rushes forward, easily causes the back of the bicycle to stick up and even the overturn.

Brake force is not enough to stop the bicycle. The front wheel would maintain on the high speed movement and cause the bicycle slide on the road for a long distance.
