Η

Θεσσαλονίκη υπήρξε ανέκαθεν κοσμοπολίτισσα. Μια πόλη – φάρος στην άμεση περιφέρειά της, που εξέπεμπε το φως του πολιτισμού και της προόδου και προσήλκυσε ανθρώπους όλων των εθνοτήτων και θρησκευμάτων. Η διαδρομή της στην ιστορία ήταν πολλές φορές παράλληλη με αυτή της Κωνσταντινούπολης, με την οποία δεν σταμάτησε ποτέ να επικοινωνεί εμπορικά, κοινωνικά και κυρίως πολιτιστικά. Αυτός ήταν ένας από τους λόγους που το Γενικό Προξενείο της Ελλάδας στην Κωνσταντινούπολη υποδέχθηκε με μεγάλη χαρά την ιδέα να φιλοξενήσει στο Σισμανόγλειο Μέγαρο 41 νέους καλλιτέχνες που έχουν ως αφετηρία τους τη Θεσσαλονίκη. Και χαίρομαι προσωπικά ακόμη περισσότερο, που οι συντελεστές της έκθεσης επέλεξαν τον τίτλο «εξωστρέφεια». Ο όρος αυτός πραγματικά αποδίδει μια τάση που υπάρχει σήμερα στην ελληνική κοινωνία. Ένα ακόμη αδύναμο ρεύμα, το οποίο είναι ευθύνη μας να αναδείξουμε και να ενθαρρύνουμε, για να γίνει ποτάμι που θα παρασύρει ξανά τη χώρα μας προς ένα καλύτερο και περισσότερο δημιουργικό αύριο. Οι νέοι άνθρωποι είναι αυτοί που αντιστέκονται στο κλίμα της παραίτησης που υποθάλπει η οικονομική κρίση. Είναι αυτοί που απαντούν στον αρνητισμό με δημιουργία. Που δεν κλείνονται στον εαυτό τους, αλλά ανοίγονται στον κόσμο και στις ευκαιρίες που προσφέρονται. Οι 41 νέοι καλλιτέχνες που φιλοξενούμε στο Σισμανόγλειο Μέγαρο εκπροσωπούν την Ελλάδα που αγαπάμε, την Ελλάδα για την οποία είμαστε υπερήφανοι και αυτή που θέλουμε να δείξουμε στον κόσμο. hessaloniki has always been cosmopolitan. A city-lighthouse in the immediate region that emitted the light of civilization and progress, and attracted people of all ethnicities and religions. The course of the city’s history was many times paralleled to that of Istanbul; the cities never stopped communicating commercially, socially and culturally in particular.

elanik her zaman kozmopolitti. Uygarlığın ve tekamülün ışığını yayan ve tüm milletlerden ve dinden insanları kendisine çeken, yol gösterici bir şehir. Tarih içerisindeki yolculuğu, ticari, sosyal ve özellikle kültür ile iletişimini hiçbir zaman kesmeyen İstanbul ile bir çok kez paralel olmuştur.

That was one of the reasons that the Consulate General of Greece in Istanbul welcomed with great joy the idea of hosting 41 new artists starting from Thessaloniki, in the Sismanoglio Megaro. And I am even happier that the contributors of this exhibition chose the title “extraversion”. This term actually reflects a trend that is dominant in Greek society nowadays; another weak stream, which is our responsibility to reward, encourage and convert to a river that will drift our country once again to a better and more creative tomorrow.

Yunanistan İstanbul Başkonsolosluğu’nun, başlangıç noktaları Selanik olan 41 genç sanatçıyı Sismanoglio Megaro’da misafir etmeyi sevinçle kabul etmesi bu nedenlerden birini oluşturmaktadır. Bu serginin oluşumunda katkıda bulunanların sergi için «dışa dönüklük» başlığını seçmelerinden dolayı, özellikle ben, bizzat daha büyük bir sevinç duymaktayım. Gerçekten de bu başlık bugün Yunan toplumunda var olan bir eğilimi ifade etmektedir. Ülkemizi yarınlar için daha iyi ve çok daha yaratıcı olmasına sürükleyecek bir ırmağın oluşması için bu zayıf akımı yüceltmek ve teşvik etmek yükümlülüğünü taşımaktayız.

Young people are those who resist resignation pandered by the economic crisis. They are the ones who respond to negativity with creativity. Not closed in on themselves, but open to the world and to the opportunities offered.

Ekonomik krizi körükleyen vazgeçme havasına karşı direnen bu genç insanlardır. Olumsuzluğa yaratıcılıkla cevap veren yine gençlerimizdir. Kendi içlerine kapanmayan ve sunulan fırsatlara açılan yine bu kişilerdir.

The 41 young artists who are hosted at the Sismanoglio Megaro represent Greece we love, Greece for which we are proud of, and the one we want to show to the world.

Sismanoglio Megaro’da misafir ettiğimiz bu 41 genç sanatçı gurur duyduğumuz ve onu dünyaya göstermek istediğimiz, sevdiğimiz Yunanistan ‘ı temsil etmektedirler.

EXOSTREFEIA*

εξωστρέφεια, για να συμβεί, προϋποθέτει δύο πράγματα: όχι μόνο την εσωστρέφεια αλλά προπαντός, και πριν από αυτήν, το έσω, ένα έσω που είναι, με την σειρά του, προϋπόθεση της εσωστρέφειας. Το έσω είναι, κατά κάποιον τρόπο, ο απαράβατος όρος και της εσωστρέφειας και της εξωστρέφειας, και ενώ το έσω, ως έσω, δεν έχει αφ’ εαυτού αρνητικό χαρακτήρα, για την εσωστρέφεια αλλά και για την εξωστρέφεια ισχύει το αντίθετο: χρησιμοποιούμε, τις περισσότερες φορές, και τις δύο λέξεις για να χαρακτηρίσουμε έναν τρόπο ή μία κατάσταση υποτιμητικά, για να δηλώσουμε μία τάση με ελλειμματικούς όρους, να περιγράψουμε, και στις δύο περιπτώσεις, μία συμπεριφορά που μόνο θετική δεν είναι: ο εξωστρεφής θεωρείται επιφανειακός, επιπόλαιος, μη σοβαρός, ακόμη και ανεύθυνος, ο εσωστρεφής, αντίθετα, εκτιμάται ως ακοινώνητος, μονόχνοτος, ακατάδεκτος, ομφαλοσκόπος, και ο ένας και ο άλλος ανάγονται σε περιπτώσεις μάλλον προς αποφυγήν και υποκείμενες στην καταδίκη. Κι όμως, το έσω είναι ατελές αν δεν στραφεί προς τα έξω, και η στροφή προς τα έξω είναι απαραίτητη προκειμένου να δηλωθεί εμφανώς κάτι που, αν μείνει μόνο μέσα, θα χαθεί στην αφάνεια. Αν δώσουμε θετικό πρόσημο στην εξωστρέφεια, αυτό θα είναι της ρήξης με μία μονομερή και απομονωτική κατεύθυνση, αλλά για να έχει αληθινό νόημα και λόγο υπάρξεως η εξωστρέφεια, θα πρέπει να αποτελεί φορέα ενός έσω υλικού το οποίο να μην είναι μόνον υπαρκτό αλλά και πλούσιο, ενδιαφέρον, δυνατό και ζωντανό. Με την έννοια αυτή, η εξωστρέφεια γίνεται μία αναγκαία κίνηση, τόσο σε προσωπικό όσο και σε συλλογικό επίπεδο, με στόχο την μετάδοση, την συμμετοχή, την ένταξη σε μία άλλη οντότητα που υπερβαίνει τον ατομικό και εθνικό χώρο και που είναι οι άλλοι άνθρωποι, οι άλλες κοινότητες. Ωστόσο, και πάλι, η εξωστρέφεια, με την παραπάνω έννοια, δεν μπορεί να σημαίνει κάτι σοβαρό και αναγκαίο παρά μόνον όταν αφετηρία της είναι ένα έσω το οποίο έχει κάτι να δώσει, κάτι να πει, κάτι να προτείνει, κάτι να εκφράσει σε όλα τα επίπεδα τής ανθρώπινης νοημοσύνης και ευαισθησίας. Εάν δεν συμβαίνει αυτό, τότε η εξωστρέφεια δεν έχει λόγο άλλον εκτός από μία ανάγκη κενής προβολής και αναίτιας επιβεβαίωσης. Στην περίπτωση όμως όπου η εξωστρέφεια είναι συνέπεια μιάς εσωτερικής διεργασίας η οποία έχει φτάσει σε σημείο κάποιου ολοκληρωμένου αποτελέσματος, λ.χ. ένα έργο τέχνης ή μία φιλοσοφική πραγματεία, τότε καθίσταται αναπόσπαστο μέρος κάθε δημιουργικής ενέργειας η οποία, χωρίς την εξωτερίκευσή της, παραμένει ατελής επειδή διατηρείται αμετάδοτη, εντέλει είναι σαν να μην υπάρχει. Ιδιαίτερα σε περιοχές όπως η τέχνη και ο στοχασμός, η εξωστρέφεια έχει εκ προοιμίου αναμφισβήτητα θετικό χαρακτήρα, όταν βέβαια συνδυάζεται και συνοδεύεται από την παραγωγή δημιουργικού έργου. Τότε, ακόμη και η εσωστρέφεια αποκτά εντελώς θετικό πρόσημο αφού, εν προκειμένω, αποτελεί το άλλο όνομα της εσωτερικής διεργασίας, του πνευματικού μόχθου, της ψυχικής δαπάνης, τα οποία όλα αυτά συνιστούν θεμελιώδεις όρους για κάθε καλλιτεχνικό και στοχαστικό έργο. Έτσι, εσωστρέφεια και εξωστρέφεια αποδεικνύονται όχι μόνο συναφείς αλλά και αναγκαίες η μία για την άλλη, και τότε μόνο βρίσκουν τον θετικό τους χαρακτήρα όταν συλλειτουργούν, όταν η μία προετοιμάζει την άλλη, όταν η μία ξεκινάει για να καταλήξει στην άλλη. Εντέλει, και σύμφωνα με τα παραπάνω, εξωστρέφεια και εσωστρέφεια συναποτελούν μία και την αυτή κίνηση, και, μολονότι δύο, είναι τόσο αδιαχώριστες ώστε θα μπορούσαν να συνυπάρξουν σε μία και μόνο λέξη: εκσωστρέφεια. wo things are presupposed in order for extraversion to happen: not only introversion but first and foremost, and even before the latter, the inner self and one of this inner self, that would be with its turn a presupposition of introversion. The inner self is in a way an integral term both for introversion and extraversion and although the inner self has not a negative character on its own, for the introversion and the extraversion the opposite is valid. Most of the times we use both words to characterize a way or a situation disparagingly to state a tension with elliptic terms, to describe in both cases a behavior that is just not positive: the extraverted person is considered superficial, promiscuous, not serious, even irresponsible; on the other hand the introverted person is considered as unsociable, uncompanionable, aloof, a fatalist; both of these former cases are reduced in cases of abjuring and are subject to condemnation. Notwithstanding this fact, the inside is imperfect if it does not turn to the outside and the turn to the outside is necessary in order to state evidently something that, if it stays only inside, it will be lost in invisibility. If we give a positive signal in extraversion this will be that of rupture with a unilateral and a seclusive direction, yet to have a real meaning and reason for existence the extraversion needs to constitute a carrier of an inner material that is not just existent but rich, interesting, strong and lively. With this meaning, extraversion becomes a compulsory movement, in an individual as well as a team level, with the aim of transmission, participation and the incorporation in another entity that overcomes the individual and the national space where there are other people, other communities. Yet again, extraversion with the above meaning cannot indicate something serious and necessary, but only when its starting point is one inner self that has something to give, something to say, something to suggest, something to express to all the levels of human mentality and sensitivity. If this is not happening, then extraversion does not have any other reason but one necessity of void projection and one ascertainment without any reason. However in the case that extraversion is a consequence of an internal fermentation that has reached to a point of some complete result eg. a piece of art or a philosophical disquisition, then it becomes an integral part of every creative action that, without its exteriority, stays incomplete because it is maintained incommunicable, in the end it is like it does not exist. Especially in areas like art and contemplation, extraversion has from its prelude without any doubt a positive character, when it is surely combined and accompanied by the production of a creative piece of work. Then, even introversion acquires one complete positive signal since in this case it consists another name for the internal procedure, of the mental labour, the psychic expenditure, which all comprise essential terms for every artistic and contemplative work. Thus, introversion and extraversion are proved not only coherent but necessary one for another and only then they find their positive character; when they function together, when one prepares the other, when the first starts to end to the other. Finally, and according to all the above mentioned, introversion and extraversion create together one and only movement, and no matter the two are so inseparable so that they could coexist in one and only word: exostrefeia. ışa dönüklüğün oluşması için iki şey ön görülmektedir: Salt olarak yalnız içe dönüklüğü değil, öncelikle sırasıyla içe dönüklüğün bir ön koşulu olan içeri kelimesidir. İçeri kelimesi bir şekilde, içe dönüklüğün ve dışa dönüklüğün ihlal edilemeyen bir şartı olarak, çeri kelimesinin bir iç olarak içe dönüklülük için kendiliğinden menfi karakteri bulunmakta, ancak dışa dönüklülük için bunun tersi geçerli olmaktadır. Her iki kelimeyi bir çok kez bir şekli veya bir durumu küçümsemek, eksik ifadelerle olan bir yönelimi beyan etmek ve her iki durumda yalnızca müspet olmayan bir davranışı açıklamak için kullanmaktayız. Dışa dönük olan kişi, havai, yüzeysel, ciddi olmayan ve sorumsuz bir kişi olarak kabul edilmekte ancak bunun aksine içe dönük kişi, asosyal, kurumlu, kendisiyle uğraşan biri olarak takdir edilmektedir. Dolayısıyla her ikisi de bir cezaya bağlı olan durumlardan kaçınmak kategorisine girerler. Buna rağmen, iç dışarıya dönmezse mükemmel sayılamaz ve onun dışarıya doğru dönüşümünde bir şeyin yalnız içte kalması durumunda belirsizliğe doğru kaybolacağı için, apaçık bir şekilde beyan edilirse o zaman geçerlidir. Dışa dönüklüğe müspet bir simge verirsek bu tek taraflı ve izole edici bir yönelme ile bir karşı gelme oluşacak ve dışa dönüklüğün gerçek bir manasının ve var olmasının nedeninin olması için gerçek bir iç madde ile yetinmesiyle zengin, canlı, kuvvetli ve ilgiyi çeken bir iç maddenin taşıyıcısını da oluşturması gerekmektedir. Bu durum altında, dışa dönüklük özel olduğu kadar, ortak düşünce yüzeyinde de gerekli olan bir harekettir. Hedefi, özel ve milli mekanı aşan ve başka insanları ve başka cemiyetlerin bulunduğu yerlerde diğer bir mevcudiyetle katılma iştirak etme ve aktarmayı yapmasıdır. Bununla birlikte, dışa dönüklük yine de yukarıdaki manasıyla, onun başlangıç noktası bir şey verebilecek durumda olan bir içi olursa, söylemek istediği bir şey var ise, bir şey teklif etmek ister ise, insan zekasının tüm seviyelerine ve duyarlılığına bir şeyler ifade etme etmek gibi vermek istediği bir şey yok ise, ciddi ve gerekli bir şey ifade etmemektedir. Dışa dönüklük, özellikle sanat ve düşüncenin bulunduğu yerlerde, doğal olarak yaratıcı bir eserin meydana getirilmesiyle bağlantılı olup onunla takip edilirse dışa dönüklüğün imtiyazdan dolayı tereddütsüz müspet bir karakteri vardır. O zaman içe dönüklük bile tamamiyle müspet bir karakter kazanır çünkü bu durumda her türlü sanat ve düşünce eseri için temel şartlarını ifade eden iç çalışmanın, düşünce emeğinin, ruh harcanmasından başka bir adını oluşturacaktır. Dolayısıyla, içe dönüklük ve dışa dönüklük yalnız birbirleriyle irtibatlı oldukları ispat edilmemekte ve birinin diğeri için gerekli olduğu ispat edilmektedir. Ancak beraberce faaliyette bulundukları ve biri diğerini hazırladığı ve biri diğerine ulaşmak istediği zaman birbirleri için gereklidirler. Sonuç olarak, ve yukarıdakilere de uygun olmak suretiyle, dışa dönüklük ve içe dönüklük bir ve tek bir hareketi oluştururlar ve her ikisi de o kadar çok ayrılamaz bir halde bulunmalarına rağmen tek bir tek bir kelime içinde bulunmaları gereklidir exostrefeia. ε μια πόλη με βαθιά πολιτισμική και πνευματική κληρονομιά, όπως αυτή της Κωνσταντινούπολης –μια πόλη πολύμορφη, αντιφατική και μοναδική, ένας κόσμος ομόκεντρων και αλληλοκαλυπτόμενων κύκλων με μακραίωνη ιστορία και παραδόσεις, συγκλίσεις και αποκλίσεις, σημείο συνάντησης Ανατολής-Δύσης– οι καλλιτέχνες της έκθεσης Εξωστρέφεια καλούνται να αναλάβουν τον ρόλο τους, να ανακαλύψουν και να προσδιορίσουν εκ νέου τη δυναμική και ουσιαστική λειτουργία της τέχνης και μέσα από αυτήν να υποδείξουν μια αξιοπρεπή και συνειδητή θέση για τον άνθρωπο, ο οποίος βρίσκεται εγκλωβισμένος στη δίνη της κατάρρευσης, σε μια κρίσιμη, ασταθή και επώδυνη στιγμή της ιστορίας του, σε ολοκληρωτική ρήξη με τις αξίες, τις ρίζες και τις πηγές της ταυτότητάς του, σε έναν κόσμο κατακερματισμένο και διαρκώς μεταβαλλόμενο, έναν κόσμο αποπροσανατολισμένο, που έχει χάσει τις σταθερές του και απορρίπτει τις ιδεολογίες που αδυνατούν, μέσα στην πληθώρα των διφορούμενων και αντιφατικών απόψεων, να υψώσουν φωνή για την οικονομική, κοινωνική και ηθική κρίση. Η τέχνη φιλοδοξεί να γίνει για ακόμη μία φορά εξωστρεφής, να δώσει τη δική της απάντηση, να αρθρώσει τον δικό της λόγο σε μια σειρά από κρίσιμα ερωτήματα και ζητήματα, επιδιώκοντας με τον μοναδικό της τρόπο την «έξοδο» από μια παγιδευμένη κατάσταση, μια τραγική συνθήκη, όπου όλοι οι δρόμοι μοιάζουν να έχουν κλείσει. Οι καλλιτέχνες έρχονται να αφηγηθούν μια ιστορία –μια ιστορία προσωπικών και συλλογικών βιωμάτων–, ενώ τα έργα, συνολικά, επιθυμούν να μεταδώσουν την ενεργό-κριτική στάση του δημιουργού τους, να διαμορφώσουν μια ενιαία πρόταση, μια εικαστική παρέμβαση, να είναι ταυτόχρονα γλώσσα, πράξη και ιδίωμα, έκφραση και εικόνα –η καλλιτεχνική «αντίσταση», «εναντίωση» και «διάλογος»– σε μια εποχή έντονων και δραματικών ανακατατάξεων, ραγδαίων και αναπάντεχων μεταβολών, σε μια εποχή όπου όλα τείνουν προς την ομογενοποίηση της καθημερινότητας και ο χρόνος εκμηδενίζεται από τις ψηφιακές τεχνολογίες. Φυσικά, η τέχνη δεν μπορεί να δώσει άμεσες λύσεις αλλά εξακολουθεί να διατηρεί την επικοινωνιακή της δύναμη, να επιζητά τη συμμετοχικότητα, τη συλλογικότητα και την αλληλεγγύη ή να κινείται και να εμπνέεται από τις ίδιες τις εκφάνσεις της καθημερινότητάς μας, μπορεί να προσφέρει ελπίδα και ομορφιά, να οδηγείται, υπερβαίνοντας τις δεσμεύσεις και τα στερεότυπα του θεωρητικού λόγου, σε μια καθαρή παρουσίαση πρωταρχικών εννοιών και συμπεριφορών της ανθρώπινης ύπαρξης, να ωθεί στον προβληματισμό και την εξωτερίκευση, να δημιουργεί αισθήματα ανάτασης και ανθρωπισμού, να εμψυχώνει την ανατροπή του κατεστημένου και να πυροδοτεί το νέο, να περιλαμβάνει και να προτείνει ιδέες και στάση ζωής που δεν εναρμονίζεται με το σημερινό κοινωνικό-πολιτικό σκηνικό. Κεντρικός στόχος της έκθεσης είναι να παρουσιάσει -πλουραλιστικά, χωρίς περιχαρακώσεις και προκαταλήψεις– 41 σύγχρονους εικαστικούς δημιουργούς· κάποιοι από αυτούς έχουν, ήδη, δώσει το στίγμα τους, αλλά οι περισσότεροι βρίσκονται στο ξεκίνημά τους με αξιόλογη, ωστόσο, δουλειά και συνεπή, μέχρι τώρα, διαδρομή σε έναν τόπο όπου οι συνθήκες κάθε άλλο παρά ιδανικές είναι: διαρκώς μειούμενη αγορά, έλλειψη ευκαιριών ανάδειξης και αδυναμία πρόσβασης σε θεσμούς, απουσία παιδείας, αναίτιοι ανταγωνισμοί και μεθοδευμένοι αποκλεισμοί, αποθέωση του προκλητικού και του εντυπωσιακού, του κακώς εννοούμενου εννοιολογικού, εναλλακτικού ή πρωτοποριακού –υπερασπιζόμενων, τις περισσότερες φορές, από έναν σαθρό και αίολο θεωρητικό λόγο. Εξωστρέφεια. Μια κίνηση-εκδήλωση προς τα έξω, πραγματική και συμβολική. Διέξοδος και πρόταση, ενέργεια που προϋποθέτει τη στροφή προς το έσω. he exhibition takes place in Istanbul, a city of a profound cultural and intellectual heritage, a diverse, contradictory and unique city; a world of concentric and overlapping circles of history and tradition, convergences and divergences, the meeting point of East and West. The artists participating in the exhibition entitled Extraversion are invited to play their role, discover and redefine the dynamic, substantial function of art and use it to indicate a dignified and conscious stance for man, who is currently trapped in the midst of collapse at a critical, unstable and painful moment of history, in total rupture with the values and roots of his own identity. Furthermore, his frame is a shattered, constantly changing and disorientated world that has lost its context and rejects the ideologies that have failed to raise up their voice against financial, social and moral crisis amidst a plethora of ambiguous and contradictory viewpoints. Art aspires once more to become extraverted, give its own answer, and enunciate its own opinion regarding critical questions and issues, thus seeking in a unique way the “exit” from a trapped situation, a tragic state where all roads seem to have been closed. The artists come to tell a story of personal and collective experiences while the works, overall, wish to communicate the active-critical stance of their creators, to form a single sentence, an artistic intervention. They intend to be language, action, idiom, expression and picture at the same time (the artistic “resistance”, “opposition” and “dialogue”) in an era of intense and dramatic upheaval, rapid and unexpected changes; in an era where everything tends to homogenize everyday life and time is eliminated by digital technologies.

stanbul gibi, çok yönlü, çelişkili, dünyada tek, asırlar boyu bir tarihe ve geleneklere sahip, görüş birliği ve farklılıkları olan, Doğu ile Batının buluştuğu, aynı merkezi olan ve birbirini kaplayan daireler dünyası bir şehir- derin bir kültür ve düşünce mirasına sahip bir şehirde, dışa dönüklük sergisinin sanatçıları rollerini üstlenmek, sanatı yeniden keşfetmek ve sanatın dinamizmini ve özlü faaliyetini tayin etmek ve bunun içinden de çöküş girdabında hapsedilmiş durumda olan insana saygın ve bilinçli bir yer göstermek için çağrılmışlardır. Kritik, dengesiz tarihindeki acı bir durumunda, değerler ile kimliği, kökleri ve kaynaklarıyla karşı karşıya geldiği, parçalara bölünmüş ve devamlı değişen, yönelimden uzaklaşan bu dünyada, sabit ideolojilerini yitiren ve zayıf ideolojileri reddeden bu dünyada, çift anlamlı ve çelişkili görüşlerin çokluğu içerisinde, ekonomik, sosyal ve ahlak için seslerini yükseltmek için davet edilmişlerdir. Sanat, bir kez daha dışa dönük olmayı, kendi cevabını vermeyi, kritik sorular ve meselelerde bir sıra dahilinde kendi sözünü söylemeyi, kapana kısılmış bu durumdan tüm yolların kapandığını gözüken trajik bir durumdan, «çıkışı» tek ve yalnız kendisine ait yolu amaçlamak maksadıyla bir kez daha dışa dönüş olmasını arzulamaktadır. Sanatçılar, bir tarihi- şahsi ve ortaklaşa yaşanmış olayları - anlatmak için gelmekteler ve eserler, tümüyle yaratıcılarının fiilli-eleştirici durumunu biçimlendirmeyi, bununla görsel bir müdahaleyi iletmeyi arzu etmektedirler. Doğal olarak sanat, «direnmesi», «karşı gelmesi» ve «diyalogu ile» bir dilin, bir faaliyetin, bir ifadenin ve bir görüşün dramatik ve belirgin olarak yeniden düzenlendiği, hızlı ve beklenilmeyen değişikliklerin olduğu zamanda tüm şeylerin günlük hayatın homojenleşmesine doğru yöneliminin bulunduğu zamanda ve zamanın bilgisayar teknolojisi ile sıfırlandığı zamanla, bir olmalıdır.

Of course, art cannot provide immediate solutions but still retains the power of communication, seeks participation, collectiveness and solidarity, deals with and draws inspiration from the aspects of everyday life. Art can bring hope and beauty, be driven in a pure presentation of primary concepts and behaviors of human existence transcending stereotypes and commitments of the theoretical discourse, urge meditation and self expression, uplift and arouse humanitarian feelings, encourage the overthrow of the established, trigger novelties, embrace and suggest ideas and attitudes that are contrary to the current socio-political scenario.

Sanat doğal olarak, doğrudan çözümler veremez, ancak iletişim kuvvetini muhafaza etmeye devam etmekte, iştiraki istemekte, ortak çalışmayı ve karşılıklı yardımlaşmayı istemekte veya hareket etmek suretiyle günlük hayatımızın ayni tezahürlerinden ilham almayı istemekte, umut ve güzellik sunar, insan varlığının davranış ve ilk düşüncelerinin açık bir takdimiyle sözün bağımlıklarını ve kalıplarını aşmak suretiyle kılavuzluk etmeyi, dışa dönüklüğe ve sorunlara eğilmeyi, insanlık ve ruhsal yükselme duygularını oluşturmayı, var olan statünün devrilmesi için yüreklendirmeyi sağlamayı, yeni bir statüyü ateşlemeyi, bugünkü sosyal – siyasi görüşler ile ayak uyduramayan hayat şekli ve düşünceler içermesini ve teklif etmesini istemektedir.

The main objective of this exhibition is to present –pluralistically, without entrenchments and prejudices- 41 contemporary artists. Some of them have already made their mark, but most of them are starting out now with remarkable, however, works and a so far steady course in a place and time where the conditions are far from ideal; a constantly shrinking market, lack of promotion opportunities and of access to institutions, lack of education, unnecessary rivalries and systematic exclusions, glorification of the provocative and impressive, of the misconceived conceptual (alternative or innovative) – all these are supported, most of the times, by a loose and ambiguous theoretical discourse.

Bu serginin esas hedefi, çoğulcu olarak ve ön yargısız bir şekilde sınırlar çizmeden 41 çağdaş görsel yaratıcıyı, sunmaktır. Bunlardan bazıları zaten dengelerini bulmuşlardır. Ancak çoğu, dikkate değer bir çalışma ile, şartların ideal olmaları bakımından elverişli olmayan bir yerde, devamlı azalan pazarda, kendilerini göstermek için fırsatların yokluğunda, kurumlara ulaşabilme zorluğunda, eğitimin olmayışında, nedensiz rekabetler içerisinde, metotlu bir şekilde yapılan ambargolardan mesnetsiz ve havai teorik bir sözden dolayı kötü olarak anlaşılan kavramsal, seçenekli, öncü veya etkileyici sözün göklere çıkartılması gibi, geçen süreçlerde başlangıç noktalarında bulunmakta ve bugüne kadar tutarlı bir iş göstermektedirler.

Extraversion; a movement-expression outwards, real and symbolic. An outlet and a suggestion, a process that requires taking a turn inwards. An action-exhibition that addresses and is addressed to, taking place in a city that reciprocates and is open to challenges, impulses and prospects set by the new era.

Nikos Terzis Born in Ammovouno, Orestiada, Greece. He studied (1981-1987) at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, Poland and has a master degree in painting, engraving and poster art. He attained postgraduate studies (1987-1990) in poster art and painting at the same school under Julian Palka and Teressa Pagowska respectively. At the same time he worked as an assistant at the Academy and at the studios of the aforementioned teachers. He currently lives and works in Stockholm. He is a member of the Swedish Artists’ National Organization (KRO), the Swedish Printmakers’ Association, the BT of the Lithographic Museum of Sweden, the BT of the “Gallery Enkehuset” Foundation, and also a member of the BT and art director of the Helllenic Centre for Civilization of Sweden. He has realized numerous solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. Giorgos Tserionis Born in Athens (1967). He studied graphic arts at the Vakalo School of Art and Design (1988-91) and furthered his studies in painting, sculpture and history of art at the School of Art and Philosophy (1991-95). Vasilis Zografos Born in Mytilini (1965). He studied at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1987-1992). During the period 1993-1995, he gained a scholarship from the Lilian Voudouri Trust in conjunction with the Dutch State whereby he attended and completed the master degree course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Groningen, The Netherlands. Between 2002 and 2007 he taught painting and drawing at the École Régionale de Beaux Arts of Saint Etienne.
