TTUchord The 12th national guitar and singing competition held by Tatung guitar club.
To me, music is likes heartbeatand gives people a new lease of life. A right song can be a good partner to some and inspire a sad soul . Therefore, I designed the logo to be lively and full of energy.

Music can make people feel both calm and enthusiastic which are totally opposite emotion. The blue and red are therefore chosen to be the symbol of these feelings.

YODEX
The key visual design for the joint exhibition of our department, YODEX exhibition, which is the most important event for the design-related students in Taiwan.

The main concept is replacing the character “word” 言 into “people” 人. The topic of the exhibition is all around how to lead the design thinking back to human-canter. Comparing to present a good design literally, feeling the design well by one’s heart is more important.
Take some common phrases in mandarin for instance, also exchange the characters inside. Leading people to think about other thing but only focus on someing literally. Emphasize all the design ideas started from human being.

Using a larger “人” to emphasize the topic again. Even changing the color of characters which makes it stand out from the other elements. The orange and yellow colors look lively on gray, showing that adding something different, even a small difference, can still change the entire things and make them better.

LOGO & Identity Design 2020
Ice mountain A plate of shaved ice looks like a mini-size ice mountain so we named the shop Ice Mountain, which is also the name of one of the famous mountain in Taiwan. Opening my own shaved ice shop is one of my dream. Different from traditional shops, customers can choose and decorate their own ice mountain as they wanted.

Mountain
A plate of shaved ice
Started by simple lines showing the shape of shaved ice lying on a plate. Avoiding sharp angle which makes it more peaceful.
Add ice cracking
To make it more lively, I added a random ice cracking shape on its top and a spoon stick aside. Also, tried the different line style with Japanese feeling.
Add syrup on top
Compare to the cracking shape, adding syrup on top instead and using rounded lines made the entire logo smoother.
Filling colors
To increase the portion of the ice visually, I enlarged the size of the shaved ice and made it solid. Besides, the dripping syrup made the logo more lovely.

With a spoon of syrup on the top of the ice mountain, the logo looks more vivid and also attractive.

Hot Pot Store 三媽臭臭鍋 is a commn hot pot store in Taiwan. Over the decades, they only use their original brand name as the sign and there is no one identical LOGO for all the stores. Therefore, I decided to design one for the brand.

Red and yellow are both the classic colors used by the brand. When it comes to hot pot, we always think of the round image because of the pot. Thus, I gathered the characters and redesigned them into a circle. The lines inside at the same time seem like the smoke circulating in a pot.

Elevator Design 2020
Watermelon Spaceship In a hot summer day, people like to shop at department stores and enjoy the cool atmasphere. Watermelon, the simbolic of summer, always cool down people’s mind. By transforming the elevator into a watermelon spaceship which transports people to the destination floors,the design reaches the goal of delivering different feeling of summer.
Graphic Design
The reason to choose the spaceship theme is because the vertically movement of elevators and its mission to take passengers to destinations. Inside the watermelon spaceship, a functional cockpit along with passenger seats are essential facilities. All the decorations are designed base on the watermelon shape and color.
When the door opens, peolple will suddenlly realize that it is not just a watermelon
