“Double Up wakeboards have been around since 1996, when wakeboarding was new and still being fine tuned into the sport it is today. The term ‘Freeride’, at times in the history of our sport has had connotations relating to wakeboarders that were amazing riders focussed solely on that, rather than the serious competitors of that era. They have their contest results, but will be names known forever in our sports history for being ground breaking in creative new tricks, style and a flare of what you could do with a board, bindings and a bit of water. Every era in wakeboarding’s short history has had its free riders, and it was through this way of thinking that the original freeride company was born. The idea of cruising about on your board and finding your own style, with the hardware to back it up. The company was founded on the ideals of this rider, and designed products so that each and every time you hit the water it was a pleasure. No gimmicks, just plain good times on the water. Moving to the now and with 16 years of evolution of wakeboarding since Double Up’s beginnings, few companies can now say that they have been there and done that.

Scotty is a layed back guy who likes to keep things simple. The Manual SB delivers just that, simplicity. Hybrid in design, the SB features a combined timber and foam core giving more response and feel to your ride. The wide outline with mellow tip and tail shape makes for strong boost from the wake, soft landings and smooth edge transition, the perfect combination. New Stiff formula – in the past flex boards have been hit and miss behind the boat, the SB was worked around that by using a unique fibreglass lay up to hold its shape for boat riding but still allowing flex characteristics in the park. Add to this the dropped edge profile, ABS sidewalls and Dyna 2 Base for ultimate park durability and you get the ideal crossover board.

Gain the right habits from the get go. The Pure Ride series provides consistent pop, strong edge; effortless spin and the landings are super soft. The rockers are continuous for smooth carves and the tip and tail design are a version of the "Diamond Tip" for an easy and smooth release off the wake. Curved flow channels help build that strong edge hold and a variable edge design provides hard and soft edges where you need them. The variable edge design has a softer edge in the centre of the board, rolls to a hard edge as the channels begin and then progresses to a cupped rail at the tip and tail.
