FICTITIOUS DEALER TAG, NARCOTICS DIVISION An officer stopped a vehicle displaying a suspicious dealer license tag; investigation discovered the dealer tag was fictitious and the driver had never had a driver’s license. A preimpoundment inventory of the vehicle discovered methamphetamines and controlled narcotic drugs on the front seat. 6/27/21 600 blk Austin Hwy
MAIL THEFT Officers responding to a call for a male subject going through mailboxes detained a suspect. Investigation discovered the suspect had multiple pieces of mail in his possession not addressed to him. The subject was taken into custody. 6/26/21 6100 blk Broadway
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF The front door of a business was intentionally damaged during overnight hours. 6/25/21 6300 blk Broadway
NARCOTICS VIOLATION The driver of a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation was found to not have a driver’s license issued to him. A preimpoundment inventory of the vehicle discovered methamphetamines and related paraphernalia. 6/25/21 4800 blk Broadway
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH, HIT & RUN, NARCOTICS VIOLATION A vehicle and driver involved in a hit& run crash were located near the crash scene. The driver was taken into custody a a post arrest search discovered black tar heroin in his pocket. An inventory of the vehicle discovered a syringe loaded with heroin, prescription drugs not in a labeled container and assorted paraphernalia commonly used to prepare heroin for ingestion/injection. 6/23/21 5400 blk Broadway
FRAUDULENT USE OF DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS, NARCOTICS VIOLATION An officer on patrol during overnight hours observed a vehicle moving through the neighborhood aimlessly committing several traffic violations. Contact was made and it was determined that neither had a valid driver’s license. Further investigation revealed that both had lengthy criminal histories and were in possession of multiple compact flashlights, bolt cutters and other tools commonly used for vehicle burglaries. Pre-impound inventory of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine and other related paraphernalia. 6/21/21 200 blk Ashcroft
BURGLARY Unknown person(s) entered a residence through an unlocked front door during the overnight hours. A purse and wallet left on the counter were stolen. The purse and contents were located in a yard in the 100 blk of Woodway on 6/20/21. A person of interest was contacted by AHPD prior to the burglary being reported. 6/19/21 500 blk Evans
EVADING ARREST AHPD officers responded to a Terrell Hills residence where a burglary had occurred and a male subject was atlarge. AHPD officers located the subject at a convenience store and he fled on foot. The same officers pursued the suspect and during the foot pursuit, the subject retrieved a loaded pistol from his waistband, but chose to drop it during the chase. THEFT, MOTOR VEHICLE A trailer with an All-Terrain vehicle loaded on it was stolen from a driveway. 6/16/21 200 blk College Blvd.
