CRIMINAL MISCHIEF A vehicle left parked on the street during overnight hours was damaged by persons kicking in the doors and hatch; investigation discovered evidence of shoes typically worn by teenagers or young adults on damaged areas of the vehicle. 02/21/21 100 blk West Fair Oaks

BURGLARY, VEHICLE An officer on patrol during overnight hours discovered a vehicle parked in the street with a window broken out; the vehicle owner stated that no property was missing. 02/20/21 300 blk Ashcroft

BURGLARY, BUSINESS A business was unlawfully entered by throwing a large rock through a door window; the manager stated that laptops and cell phones belonging to customers appeared to be missing. 02/20/21 4700 blk Broadway

PUBLIC INTOXICATION Officers responded to a call for a female sitting on the side of the road crying; investigation learned the subject was dropped off by a person she knew but refused to provide the person’s contact information. During the course of the investigation, officers determined the subject was under the influence and impaired; the subject was detained at the police offices until her blood alcohol level was at a legal limit. 02/20/21 5700 blk Broadway

WANTED PERSON An officer investigating a motor vehicle accident discovered one of the involved persons had an active arrest warrant issued by Bexar Co for child neglect. 02/19/21 5300 blk Broadway

ASSAULT BODILY INJURY/FAMILY An argument between a mother and son escalated to physical violence causing injury to the mother; the son was taken into custody. 02/15/21 100 blk Willem

VEHICLE BURGLARY A vehicle was unlawfully entered to steal clothing and a back pack containing computer equipment left in open view in the passenger compartment. 02/12/21 4800 blk Broadway

EMERGENCY DETENTION A female subject was contacted by police in response to reports she was unresponsive and talking loudly to herself; investigation determined the subject was in mental crisis; subject transported to a hospital for evaluation. 02/11/21 600 blk Austin Hwy

THEFT, SHOPLIFTING Two male subjects stole seven 18-packs of beer and fled in a waiting vehicle. 02/10/21 500 blk Austin Hwy

THEFT, SHOPLIFTING Officers received a call about a shoplifter fleeing from store security members. The officers were in the parking lot at the time and observed the reported getaway vehicle leave the parking lot at a high rate of speed then turn into the University of Incarnate Word campus. The vehicle was stopped and three persons were detained. Further investigation revealed the identity of the shoplifter and one other person detained had an active arrest warrant for narcotics violations; the shoplifter was charged with an enhanced theft charge due to having multiple previous convictions for shoplifting. 02/09/21 4800 blk Broadway
