Summer has the ability to slow things down and pull into focus the beauty that surrounds us. Days seem blissfully endless and are filled with a hazy golden light that illuminates the season. It’s a time full of possibility and adventures yet to be had. So gather your favorite warm weather staples and a pair of chic sunglasses; the next few months are going to look good.
TREND ESSENTIAL
ZIPPERS Zippers are so much more than just a functional metal strip and this season they’re getting their turn in the spotlight as the high shine hardware shaking up summer basics. Whether it’s a rich gold zipper running down the front of crisp white jeans or short silver zips giving a silk blouse a sleek and sexy edge, the cool detail acts like an instant accessory to denim and freshens up any wardrobe.

STEP 2
ANATOMY
of A JEAN
The panels arrive back at the factory and are constructed back onto the Skinny jean, then sent off to the washhouse to undergo a 45 minute stone washing and 10 minute bleach process, in order to achieve a vintage look. The previously raw denim is now 10 times lighter than when it started. STEP 1
STEP 3
The front panels of the skinny jeans in their raw denim form are cut from the pant and sent off to an embroidery house so the lace pattern can be applied. The embroidery process takes approximately 6 hours to complete both panels. There are a total of 240,000 stitches on each leg.
Once the jeans dry, a metallic foil heat transfer is applied to the top of the lace. It’s laid on top of each leg and put into a heat transfer. The heat seals in the metallic coating and is particularly noticeable on the more raised parts of the lace.

TEXTURE
A heavy, super stretch denim is used in the construction of this style so that it can withstand being embroidered without puckering.
The light pearl coating brings out more depth and texture in the lace and denim. Texture is major trend for 7 For All Mankind as it brings a fresh, fashion-forward feel to denim.
From wedding dresses to doilies, lace has a way of softening up anything it adorns. This season it’s being combined with vintage washed denim in a way that juxtaposes hard and soft, feminine and functional. The process of creating The Skinny in Embellished Metallic Denim is about as intricate as the lace pattern that’s emblazoned down the front panel of the pants itself. The result is an attention grabbing pair of jeans with a metallic sheen that radiates depth and texture while illuminating any look.

But shying away from uncertainty isn’t what helped the L.A native and budding vocalist become the triple threat she is. In addition to finding her vocal talents (at the encouragement of her husband of the past year and half, musician Paul McDonald), Reed has honed her jewelry design skills, a craft that feels like an organic fit for the actress who hails S TA R RY K N I G H T E A R R I N G S
from a family full of artists. Her latest collection, designed exclusively for 7 For All Mankind is inspired by love and connectivity, something she is brimming with when talking about spending time with her husband and their beloved dogs (two 100 lb European Shepherds). “I love mixing metals.” She says extending her ring finger to show how she’s stacked her mother’s gold wedding band under her own diamond engagement ring. “To me it’s about the meaning and I love being able to tell the stories behind everything.”
