been really good to 7Hues, and if you have been rocking with us until this point we know you can see the tremendous amount of growth in our
brand...and it's all thinks to you guys. Without the quality content you guys send us we can't have a motive to push for perfection, a target or goal to reach, a wall to knockdown, or a mountain to climb. The better the imagery, the harder we work to provide content. Even though we are a submission based magazine, and we're not on shelfs...yet, we work hard each month to annihilate the competition. We want to send a message that we are here to stay. As each day passes we see magazines popping up everywhere and a lot of them, no offense, look just the same. We strive to be different. We strive to build a platform that's so strong that it demands respect. Like Birdman quoted, "Put some reSpeck on our name" lol. But seriously, we are not here just to accept images, put titles and credits on them, and post them online just to say we published them. Negative. That is not our goal. With my strong background in photography, print and digital design, photo manipulation, and cinematography, you better believe this is just the beginning. Next month is our 3year anniversary and I am excited...We are excited. To be doing this for three years, without giving up or falling under pressure is an accomplishment and a blessing. On our cover this month we have a very talented hair stylist and wig maker. Mr. Tokyo Stylez. This is our first cover with a socialite that not only has a huge following, but does work for major heads. Kylie Jenner, Beyonce, & Nicki Minaj just to name a few. Salue to the young dude, he goes hard. We sit down with him for an exclusive interview to see how life is in his world, what motivates him, and what his future goals are. Once again, our themes are out for 2018. We encourage you guys to

INSIDE FEERIC FASHION WEEK
If you're in Europe this year and you're into fashion you may want to go check out Feeric Fashion Week. For the month of January our 7Hues Icon goes to Landiana, Vice-President of Feeric Fashion Week. In this exclusive interview she gives us the rundown about her position, her modeling career, and what it takes to host an event of this magnitude.
interview by Theo Hanson 7HUESMAG.COM
11
Feeric Fashion Week is considered to be the greatest Fashion Week in Eastern Europe and the most creative in the world.
L
andiana has always been a fan favorite of 7Hues and we have always been a fan of her and what she works so hard to achieve and create. One of the hardest working women in Europe, this business woman from Transylvania takes us inside one of the hottest fashion week events, Feeric Fashion Week. Conducted by Theo Hanson, this interview gives us the scoop on what to expect, how she blazes trails, and what it is to be a model in this industry.
TH -Hello Landiana, How are you? LD -Hello dears! I’m very good, thank you! Ready to
chat with you guys! TH -So tell us a bit about yourself; where are you from? LD -I am a girl from Transylvania who always wanted to go beyond her limits being able to generate interest and when possible, to support and create opportunities through the activities she unrolls. I was born and raised in Transylvania but I always like to joke saying I basically live in a suitcase because I spend more time traveling than at home. TH -We are excited to have you featured in our latest issue as our 7Hues Icon. How does it feel? LD -It’s a pleasure for me! It’s always delightful to receive a confirmation that one’s activity and projects are going in the right direction. So getting your appreciation makes me even more confident and determined. 12
7HUES JANUARY 2018
TH -T ell us about Feeric Fashion Week. LD -Feeric Fashion Week is considered to be the greatest
Fashion Week in Eastern Europe and the most creative in the world. There are more than 40 designers and guests from 28 countries all over the world involved in this project that developed itself in an international fashion hub. Worldwide designers are showcasing amazing collections for 6 days in Sibiu. Feeric doesn’t mean only catwalks but also Fashion competitions, charitable events, exhibitions, workshops, parties, cocktail meetings, press conferences and networking. In 2018 Feeric will be at its 11th edition between the 17th and the 22nd of July. So there is plenty of time for you all to book your flight tickets and be part of it. TH -H ow are you involved? LD -As a vice- president I manage the relationships with the designers and I take care of each detail in order to offer them an amazing show and a great experience. I am fully responsible of the backstage, coordinating the hair styling and makeup teams, the group of models and the designers and I make sure everything is on time and on point. TH -W hat opportunities or platforms as Vice President are you able to give new talent? LD -Oh, I am glad you ask me about this cause there is actually something of interest for the new talents. We just started a new project, Feeric33, a competition for emerging designers that gives them the opportunity to launch a business in the fashion industry and a 30.000 euros management contract for the following three years. This support covers all the expertise areas that are critical to a young designer: intellectual property, sourcing, production, distribution, marketing, visual identity, advertising and public relations. Thirty three young designers will enter the final stage of Feeric33 and will showcase their work during Feeric Fashion Week. The winner will be named by a jury formed by international journalists, buyers and professionals from the fashion industry. This competition is open to graduate designers 7HUESMAG.COM
13
who have produced a maximum of two collections or have less than a year of activity. Not Just A Label and some other big platforms are supporting the competition and I am glad you are doing the same now through this interview. TH -T ell us what motivates you everyday to do what you do no matter what? LD -The fact that I can overcome my limits. Physical and professional. And the fact that I can create opportunities and support the people around me. I wish to do remarkable things and to be an influencer. My achievements so far are showing me that I chose the right path and that I can continue to do even more than this. TH -How did you go about becoming VP of something so huge as Feeric Fashion Week ? LD -Hard work pays off. I actually started as a model In Feeric and year by year I grew inside of it. I’ve been a model in Feeric for 2 years or so, then I helped with the organization of the models, soon after I became Casting Director for Feeric, and during that time Mitichi, the president of Feeric, saw something in me and he decided to put me in charge of almost everything that had to do with “behind the scenes”. Soon after I became Vice President. It was a long way but surely the most beautiful road I ever crossed which shaped me into who I am today. TH -Being part of something so global you see and witness a lot of things. Tell us a few things that you have witnessed in the industry. 14
7HUES JANUARY 2018
LD -I saw designers that had the chance to showcase their first collections in Milan, London, Paris, New York, to sell in many countries and to be featured on the pages of big fashion magazines. It makes me proud to realize we played a part in their development and even helped some of them build a carrier. TH -What do you look forward to changing or have already begun changing as VP? LD -First thing that crosses my mind is that we managed to create a phenomenon in Feeric. I say we because I couldn’t do it without my team. There is a special thing going on between everyone involved in Feeric… the hashtag #feelfeeric. It’s a hashtag people use no matter where they are but which shows that in that moment they feel just as they feel during Feeric Fashion Week. So that means a lot for us to realize we can inspire people and their mood and to offer them something more than just a show. Secondly it’s the opportunity I told you about previously, Feeric33, that is supporting new talent. And I am sure there will be more to add to this list as my road is just at the beginning. TH -Where do you see yourself as a business woman in the next 7 years? What will you be doing? LD -Most probably I would have already done something remarkable for the fashion industry and I will still be in it working next to fashion icons for more and more projects. I am more focused now on actual projects in order to become a voice in fashion and to be able to help others build their dreams. TH -So Landiana… If you will I want to go back in time and I want you to walk me through how it all began. LD -It all began when I was 13 years old. I was found by a model scouter in my hometown and after few weeks of learning how to pose and walk I had my first contract in Milan. That is how my modeling carrier started. I had the chance to travel with contracts in a few countries and I also developed the love for traveling which now goes hand in hand with all my activities. Between trips I focused also on getting a degree so I have a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. And from there I developed my love for writing which later on led to the blog I now manage with the Feeric team. As I previously said, I was also growing professionally in Feeric and it all came together and made me who I am today. Vice President of the greatest fashion week in Eastern Europe, the face of the blog we run with the team, and
model. So basically it all started on a street in my hometown. TH -Did you always know you were going to be involved in fashion or the fashion industry ? Were you always interested in art? LD -To be honest there was a point when I started to ask myself what am I going to do after I can’t be a model anymore. I loved being one but I knew I can’t do it for the rest of my life. Fortunately, that moment came when I had already discovered the beautiful world behind the cameras. When it all started, everything happened so fast I didn’t have time to think what I will do in the future as I was already involved in something that attracted me and I really liked it. My concerns back then were if I was taking the right tram or not to miss any of my castings. But I can tell you now. Now I know I want to be involved in the fashion industry on the long run. TH -You have truly come a long way and have worked hard for
where you are today. LD -True that. But when I look back I have nothing but to smile and be proud of. TH -What advice would you give to a young artist or entrepreneur that’s just starting? LD -I advise them to have patience. It is missing a lot nowadays, it seems like everybody is rushing to reach the top with the cost of losing their passion on the way. TH -Well Landiana we want to thank you so much for spending some time with 7Hues and chatting with us. We also want to thank you for being our 7Hues Icon making a change and a difference in the fashion community at large. Until next time... LD -Pleasure was all mine! Thank you for believing in me and in my actions and I am looking forward to share with you the next steps that hopefully will leave a mark in the fashion industry. 7HUESMAG.COM

TRUE COLORS TV SERIES
Bright (2017) TV-MA | 1h 57min | Action, Crime, Fantasy Released: 22 December 2017 (USA)
A Netflix film worth viewing
Kandomere (elf) - getting a call about the wand being found.
Set in a world where mystical creatures live side by side with humans. A human cop is forced to work with an Orc to find a weapon everyone is prepared to kill for. Officer Daryl Ward (Will Smith) is out on the streets with his partner, Nick Jakoby (Joel Edgerton), who is the world's first orc cop. This was a good watch, It would have been nicer if it was binge material...like 10-12 episodes instead of lone long movie. The whole idea of orcs, elves, and humans coexisting together was a cool idea though. They made it work for the film.

7HUES ADVICE:
The Internet can become a very depressing place to dwell in. Especially if you can not keep yourself busy doing something else. From a creatives stand point we always encourage others to visit the web when you're just looking for inspiration. From a perspective of someone who just works a 9 to 5, and does nothing on the side for residual income to only visit pages that inspire or motivate you. Don't dwell on sites or social media profiles that only promote negative things - like hate, malice towards others, or self ideology. Everyone's sooooo smart on the Internet. It's easy to hide behind a smart-phone or computer screen and fill the world with nonsense. Don't get sucked into it, because it will make you miserable.
HUMOR Photos tell stories and make great memory reminders. Instagram helps us share with others. Here are a few trending pics for this month. If you run across any funny pics and want to share, send them to us.

Loulou Hicks - From Kingston School of Art/University with a BA in Fashion Design This month's DESIGNER WATCH goes to LouLou Hicks, based out of London. Her recent collection, "Change the F+cking World" came across our desk and it really inspired us. Here is a few words from LouLou about her collection. " To me, conveying current issues, may it be political or environmental, through conceptual design gives my clothes character and distinction. Primarily focusing on the practical and emotional implications climate change has impacted upon Inuit settlements, my collection deals with the seam that runs between the diversity of function, from the Inuit’s traditional culture to modern day luxury sportswear. I carried out in-depth research into specific regions of Alaska, which are first hand experiencing the rapid transformations of global warming, prompting my investigation to Americas largest coal burning power stations. - Read more on www.7huesmag.com Read more about LouLou Hicks on www.notjustalabel.com

Inspiration will start in Milan, at a new location, Padiglione Visconti, the location is in the heart of the Scala Ansaldo Workshops. Padiglione Visconti is a space of 1,200 square-metre placed in the productive heart of the Teatro alla Scala. LUXOTTICA
Italy's Luxottica announced that Chief Executive Massimo Vian is leaving, as Chairman Leonardo Del Vecchio prepares the eyewear group he founded for a planned merger with France's Essilor. Luxottica is the biggest maker of spectacles, and they agreed in January to merge with the top lens manufacturer to create a 46 billion euro ($54 billion) group with a global shop network and a portfolio of brands, extending from Ray Ban to Giorgio Armani and Prada. Luxottica said Vian would step down three months before the expiry of the current board's mandate as it simplified its structure ahead of the merger.

Gucci has finally partnered up with the legendary Harlem-based fashion designer Daniel “Dapper Dan” Day to create an atelier on Harlem’s Lenox Avenue. The shop will be very similar to Dap’s Dapper Dan Boutique, which closed in 1992, but there will be one key difference: Whereas Dap once took other brands’ goods like Gucci and Louis Vuitton, and repurposed them, now Gucci will be providing him with materials to customize its goods, which is awesome. The atelier will be located in a four-story brownstone, completed with high ceilings, velvet partitions and photographs of Dapper Dan's creations from his career in design, ranging from the 1980s through the ’90s. Gucci officially announced the partnership back in May, when one of its runway designs — a logo’d, puffer-sleeved jacket with a fur midsection — was compared to a Dapper Dan style from the ’80s. At the time, Gucci’s Instagram account called the design an homage to Dap. “Everyone paid homage to Dapper Dan, but no one ever paid him,” Daaniel said in a press release. “The people have spoken out about the situation, and Gucci had no choice but to listen. Nothing, and I mean nothing, has been more significant in the Harlem culture scene than Alessandro and Gucci coming to Harlem and partnering with Dapper Dan.” This hard working gentleman has every reason to be excited. In a moment when fashion brands were largely interested in Instagram-friendly It Objects—an ugly sneaker here, an absurdly expensive graphic T-shirt there—Gucci and Dap are focusing on high-end bespoke greatness. Much respect to Gucci for finally acknowledging Dapper Dan's fashion style and designs, and making history in the process. The philosophy behind the retro-inspired designs by Dap use to turn Gucci into a hot fashion giant, all credited to Dapper Dan’s early experiments in high-low cut-and-sew. Rest assured, we can predict that the bespoke Gucci-Dap collaboration won’t be cheap—these are painstakingly made, one-off garments—the slightly less full-walleted among us can rest easy. Dapper Dan described his ascent in an emotional Instagram post. “I went from selling clothes on a table on the sidewalks of Harlem, now l’m on my own giant billboard on a rooftop in Harlem. l went from having holes in my shoes as a child, now l wear Gucci loafers. l came from the poorest neighborhood in Harlem, now l have a brownstone in Harlem,” he wrote. The atelier will focus on high-end bespoke customizations — representing a departure from the luxury streetwear styles that have been picked up by labels recently. The shop will open in January, and clients will be taken by appointment only. It will not offer any Gucci merchandise.

et your life before you come for this stylist. This creative individual has been gracing scalps and putting smiles on the faces of those in need of flawless hairdo since the age of 11. When you have your little sister to use for practice, and people around your neighborhood pay you for your work, eventually, you grow to love what you do. And that's what happened in this success story. Now, you can find the fruit's of his labor resting on the heads of some of the most talked about celebrities today. Naomi Campbell, Kylie Jenner, Rihanna, Tamar Braxton...we could go on, but we would run out of space. His thrown in the hair game was rested upon his head when he became known for his hair extensions and creative wigs. One thing we like about this artist is that he always continues to educate himself in the art of slay, always learning new styles, new techniques, and that's something we support here at 7Hues, because you have to stay ahead of the competition, and you have to let the world know that you are the best at what you
do...and you gotta respect it, or check it. But we're not gonna talk your head off in this introduction, let's here what the Hair Guru has to say. - interview by Will Mydell 7H: TokyoStylez on the cover of 7Hues Mag....wow... talk about a game changer. The hottest wig maker on the planet, and the hottest upcoming publication, Greatness. This issue is definitely an instant classic. Releasing right after New York, London, & Paris Fashion Week no less. Good to have you on Tokyo, hows life treating you? Tokyo: Man, I can’t explain how life is right now because I don’t know the meaning of life lol. I have been so busy lately that I had to recently slow down so I can think about my brand and what it will take to bring me to the next level. 7H: Your page is lit...like, how do you even structure your days? Is it the normal breakfast and news with the orange face dude on the tube explaining his last tweet, or is it the coffee and to do list? Tokyo: I try my hardest to not pay much attention to the news now a days because I don’t want to get upset. I rather uplift with my social medias and give the people what they want if that’s a new unit for sell or me whipping my 60-inch hair and giving them life lol. I don’t

have time to keep up with someone that likes to tweet more than I do. I think I’m a little busier than he is lol. 7H: There are a lot of hair stylist who want to just close down their salon and sell hair...is selling hair a different animal than working in a salon each day? Would you recommend stylist to just do what they love and sell on the side as a second source of income? Or take a chance? Tokyo: So here is my take on that. Selling hair isn’t for everybody and people think it’s the easiest way out to a dismal career in hair. Selling hair is a 2-headed beast and now you have to think about things you otherwise didn’t have to think of when you were a stylist. So, if being a stylist isn’t your thing I would seriously think about it hard before opening your own hair store. I say sell hair on the side and gradually transition to hair. 7H: Where and how do you work best? East, West Coast, Overseas, The Moon, Planet Tokyo...where do you know you'll get your best work done? And what's your music selection while you work? Tokyo: It really doesn’t matter where I work to be honest. My best work has been all over the globe and the best is yet to come so I’ll update you guys when it happens and where I’m at for the moment lol. 7H: How do you solve common problems – like productivity,
scheduling, marketing, networking, or having a hectic schedule? Did you teach yourself through failed attempts on how to make your life easier, or did you get great advice from the start of your career? Tokyo: Well My manager keeps up with a majority of that stuff so I can just focus on creativity. I’m a creative person so it’s hard for me to focus on all that stuff. With my creativity comes a lot of crazy ideas so I needed a team that could execute these things for me. 7H: What would you have done differently if you knew then what you know now? Tokyo: I’m a firm believer in not having regrets. I could name a bunch of should of, would of, could of ’s but I rather focus on my future. 7H: You have a pretty sweet clientele, It has to be fun mixing beauty and fashion. I mean, what's the point of having good hair if you can't mode in it, right? How fun is modeling for you? Tokyo: My clientele is very vast and that’s what I love so I don’t get tired because I’m always thinking of something different. I think people love modeling for me because I will direct them exactly how my units move and we have a great time behind closed doors. I’m fortunate to have such great clients and team so my job is just a lot of fun period. You can say I’m the exception and not the rule.

7H: I'm pretty sure you're asked for advice all the time from cosmetologist on Instagram. And I'm pretty sure you get some crazy messages also. What annoys you the most about social media? Tokyo: Sometimes I don’t like how accessible you are at times. Then people think they are your best friend because they can send you a message lol. I try to be as social as possible but it can become a lot, especially juggling a hectic life. 7H: How was the Anthony Cutz collaboration like in London last month for Hair In Motion? You guys look like you had a great time, I know the fans love it. It's like a Marvel & DC link up *geek moment*. I know it can be difficult working with other people these days, especially in this industry. So many ego's right? Do you have difficulty at times partnering up with other hair moguls when it comes to workshops or events? Tokyo: Well me and Anthony share the same manager Christopher Aaron so it’s never hard for me partnering up with him because we are already in the same family. I haven’t had too much problems with other stylist because I respect the game and process so I go into any partnership with an open mind and just there to have fun. You will be surprise how easy it is when people realize you aren’t a jerk. 7H: What’s the best advice you ever received from a business mogul? Tokyo: Get your money first, the rest is just trivial. 7H: What’s the best advice you ever received from a loved one? Tokyo: Stay humble and never forget where I’m from which is Omaha Nebraska just in case you was wondering lol. 7H: We see that you've had a love for hair since the age of 11, did you have any big influences as a kid at that age? Who did, or who do you admire most? Who or what inspired you to do what you’re doing now? Tokyo: So its funny I used to love the movie

Baps before I even knew Kim Kimble did the hair for that movie. All I remember is the hair was a intricate part of the movie and I always said I wanted to make impacts like that. To this day Kim is now one of my closest industry friends and I know I can lean on her for career advice and a good conversation over drinks. 7H: What is still your biggest challenge? Tokyo: Keeping up with demand. As soon as I increase staff and think I’m doing ok my demand increases so keeping up with orders can get overwhelming but we find ways to make it work. Stay tuned for my newest collaboration that will address this. I’m not complaining, I guess you can say I have a good problem.

7H: What’s your best advice for handling criticism? Because we All know, everyone is a critic nowadays, especially on-line. Tokyo: First and foremost, I have the best fans and supporters in the world so they handle my light work on-line without me saying anything. My rule of thumb is say nothing and never give haters more attention than they think they’re already getting. 7H: What surprising lessons have you learned along the way? Tokyo: The biggest thing is patience because if I rushed a lot of decisions I thought was the best for me at the time I would be nowhere near where I am today. I can’t stress this enough is follow your heart and never be in a rush. The best comes to those who wait. 7H: What do you find are [your audience’s] biggest stumbling blocks and what are the best ways you’ve found to overcome them? Tokyo: I’ve been pretty good with not having to many of those lol. 7H: What’s next for you? I see 'Touched by You' is in the makings. Or is it done? Tokyo: It is which has been my baby for months but I actually have a huge collaboration with one of the biggest in the industry so stay tuned you will all be excited in due time. I don’t like to give secrets out to early. 7H: What do you want your legacy to be when it's said and done? How do you want to be remembered? Tokyo: That I was more than a hair stylist and I transcended hair and beauty. Coming from living in the backseat of a car to now I want people to say I was simply the best. I want to be in a museum somewhere for the empire I’ve built. 7H: How do you balance work, family, & friend demands? I'm pretty sure business keeps you busy. Is it hard keeping everyone happy? Tokyo: Well my manager is also my boyfriend so we are always with each other and he does a good job of keeping me connected and grounded. If my family can’t reach me they reach him and he makes sure I stop and take the time. I’m normally pretty good at keeping up for the most part. When I need time for myself I go out and enjoy myself so I can say I have a great balance all the way around. You make time for what you want and I’m a firm believer in that. 7H: Well Tokyo, thanks for sitting down with us, I'm pretty sure we're going to work together soon in the future on set for something major, maybe the cover for our hair issue *smiles*, Keep slaying and being an inspiration for other hair enthusiast. - End Interview

As more men begin to join the spa-going crew, an increasing number of treatments, therapies, and programs are targeting those with a Y chromosome, and we're thankful for it, so it's time to take advantage of it. This month we've listed our top 10 spa getaways for men to visit for a more relaxing experience. Because we believe every man deserves to be spoiled and pampered as well.

adies should welcome a mans touch, not reject from it. But we must say, if you have long creepy nails, frayed and dry cuticles, or gnarly hang toe nails, that’s exactly what will happen. Don't get it twisted, a man's hands do not have to be perfectly smooth, but they should always be clean and well kept. It shows whoever he encounters that he cares about all aspects of his hygiene. What's in your juice is a lot of hogwash
What is a healthier way of juicing There is another option to buying juices - But you will need a blender. Try this smoothie formula (from Steve Satterfield, executive chef, veggie lover) + 2 cups greens (rocket, kale, spinage, or a mix) + 1/2 cup frozen blue fruit (blueberries, blackberries, or a mix) + 1/2 cup frozen red fruit (strawberries, raspberries) + 1/2 cup frozen yellow/orange fruit (peaches, mangoes, pineapple) + 1 1/2 cups unsweetened milk alternative (preferably flax or hemp milk) + 3 tbsp unsweetened organic hemp protein powder
Pulping some myths around the juicing fad
T
he new crave seems to be people throwing back, pre-made, cold pressed juice, sold to have green dreams and home grown hopes of nutrients. But in actuality, this expensive habit really isn't doing our bodies any justice. As much as we want to put our trust in this futuristic form of food pills, unfortunately, we do not live in age similar to the Jetsons. So we are sorry to say that these cool looking juice drinks we line our fridges with are actually hurting our wallet, hurting our diet, and probably polluting our environment.
Juice skips the good parts Each bottle of kale-ginger- requires a certain amount of kilograms of produce in it, which in this case, has been disintegrated to squeeze the liquid from the weighty, fibrous pulp. Fiber is a crucial benefit of fruits and veggies. Fiber keeps you regular, if you know what I mean. It clears cholesterol out of your system, and helps maintains your blood-sugar levels, it also prevents food cravings and energy crashes. So if you're missing out on all of that, what are you actually intaking when you drink?
Over priced sugar is what you're drinking Let us give you an example of what we are talking about. A 500ml Tropical Greens smoothie from Kauai contains about 48g of sugar - a 500ml bottle of Coke has about 44g. Separation from tough to digest fiber, all of the sugar goes straight into your bloodstream. And that's why you feel giddy after taking one to the head - it is not a healthy habit you would want to embrace, it's only a sugar high.
Vitamins can't function the way they should Let's say you go to the grocery, and you buy a bottle of green juice, which on the label claims to

have 50% of your daily vitamin A requirements inside. Well, the problem is that fat-soluble vitamins like A, need to be consumed with fat for your body to efficiently absorb them correctly. So those are lies.
'Green' juice really ain't so green
For a feel-good product sold in the store, supposedly, bottled juice can shockingly Ecogarbage, what with all the plastic packaging, cooling, and pulp that gets removed. Still, determining to chugg your veggies? It's more nutritious at the end of the day, cheaper, and less wasteful to the planet to just blend your own smoothies at home. Or, you can just man up, and chew your salad.

Who's up for a little mountain biking? Personal Training: Lesson: Mountain Biking
Heavy Pedal
Never underestimate the power of mother nature and all her benefits to change your mood and general health. The environment that surrounds you has a enormous impact on how you perceive the world and how you feel on any given day. Studies have proven that once you hit the ole dusty trails, and immerse yourself in a forest or natural landscape, your stress levels are reduced, blood pressure decreases and your overall well-being increases. It will get your heart pumping for sure. What better way to experience the great outdoors than to eat some dust and get intimate with thorny bushes on the trail. Seriously though, mountain biking, more than any other activity, allows you to quickly get off the beaten path and enjoy the solitude and majesty of nature. This month we cover some exercises to help prepare you for the outdoors.
EXERCISE 1
EXERCISE 2
Find yourself a suspension trainer, like a TRX to perform this next workout, because it helps build the upper body, strength in the chest, back, shoulders and arms. It also helps stabilization in your shoulder and core muscles of the torso and hips.
You produce power on a cycle one leg at a time. So good training would be with one leg at a time. This exercise does just that. Because it's a single-leg workout, the balance is tested, increasing stability in your core, hip, knee and ankle.
Inverted row/push-up
Step bound
PHOTOGRAPH CREDIT: FOTOLIA.COM
Technique 1 - Inverted row: While lying on your back under a fixed horizontal bar ( make sure bar is high enough to allow your straight arms ), grip bars slightly wider than shoulder width. Maintain alignment through knee, ankle, shoulder and hip, now pull your body up to the bar. Return position, and repeat.
Technique: First, stand facing something similar to a weight bench or box with right foot on bench or box. Engage your abdominals and push through the right foot and hip, jumping as high as possible. Land on the same foot and repeat, with small pause between the jumps. Do 5 Sets of 5. On each leg.
Technique 2 - Push-up: With your hands shoulder-distance apart, put your body in plank position with straight legs, balancing on your toes or knees. Keep your alignment straight. Slowly lower your chest to the floor over 3 seconds and push back to start position, then repeat.
EXERCISE 3
Technique 3 - Pyramid: Start off with 5 reps of horizontal rows, then follow up with 5 reps of push-ups. Then hit 4/4, 3/3, 2/2, then 1/1. Afterwards, go back up again, 2/2, 3/3, 4/4, 5/5. If you can knock out the full workout, add one rep on top of it for extra build.
Side-lying pikes
When riding your bike you need a strong and stable core, that way you will have better control, and it will make your power delivery on your pedals more effective. Having a strong core will also reduce lower back pain. Technique: First, you want to lie on your right side, left hand behind your head, right arm on the floor, with your palm down, just in front of your torso. Slightly roll back, try to maintain your alignment, lift your legs and upper body, and pivot your right elbow, until your left elbow and left knee touch. Return back to your start position and repeat the process. Do 2 Sets of 20. On each side. 7HUESMAG.COM

WHERE CAN A MAN GET A FACE PEEL AROUND HERE? words by William Mydell
F
orget what you think you may know about face masks for men. Contrary to the he say she say they’re not all muddy concoctions created to suck your face clean. Believe it or not, there are face masks out there on the market that are designed to deliver an intense dose of moisture deep into your dermis. Ingredients such as Vitamin E, Aloe, and Hyaluronic Acid (found naturally in skin and proven to hold 1,000 times it’s weight in water) deliver essential hydration to skin quickly and effectively to help quench your skin’s thirst. Even if you cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize on a regular basis, an occasional breakout of acne or a blackhead will piss of anyone, we get it. After all, what is the point of the effort if your skin is still not to your standards? Enter the face mask. Facial masks are a terrific addition to any man’s skin care regimen by taking it to the next level. Essentially a reset for your face, masks provide all sorts of great benefits for your skin. But the big question is, which face mask will be the best for your skin? From solutions that are heavily dependent on clay like the one offered up by Lab Series to a volcanic mud based compound found in Kyoku’s Lava Masque Acne Treatment solution it can be hard to decide which option to invest in. To help make sense of

these starkly different options on the market, we look at the facts of each offering and see the actual results they deliver. So, a face mask isn’t going to shred years from your appearance. Although, those fine lines and crows feet that are developing around your eyes will start to slow in their tracks should you start to use a face mask on a regular basis. How you ask? First, to understand how a face mask works, you need to get deep…really deep. The benefits of a face mask are multi-faceted. First and foremost, it helps to clear out all that gunk and oil that is resting in the deep dark corners of your pores. So, if you have a naturally oily or combination skin type along your T-zone, the introduction of a face mask will be a godsend to you. Therefore, if acne and blackheads are still a problem long after those dreaded teenage years have passed, face masks (especially ones that depend on clay) will help to subside these skin blemishes. Facial masks are great at adding an additional layer of moisture to your skin. This can help to reduce (notice how I didn’t say eliminate or cure), the appearance of those fine lines and wrinkles. Lastly, and this one is a bit of a weird Oprah-esq thing that some guys feel (I won’t publicly admit to this), is that face masks will also make you feel a bit

ART COMES ALIVE Tristan Eaton contributes more than just art to society, he gives us all inspiration.
Born in L.A. in 1978, Tristan Eaton started pursuing street art as a teenager, painting everything from billboards to dumpsters in the urban landscapes of the cities where he lived, be it London, Detroit, or New York. We recently started following Eaton's work and we wish we would of spotted it way earlier. Being creatives and artist we're always on the hunt for creative minds. And this guy has it in spades. Painting murals the way he does, is amazing. His artwork alone is awesome, don't get it twisted. We are sharing some images of his where he's painting murals but on his website he also has a gang of creative images. This guy is truly talented. "These days, Eaton is one of the most prominent street artists working today. Eaton’s large scale mural work features a meticulous, visual collage of pop imagery mixed with his unique personal style, all executed with freehand spray paint on a colossal scale. Eaton now focuses on his Fine Art and large-scale mural work full-time, which can be found in dozens of cities across the globe from Paris to Shanghai. Eaton’s work can also be seen in the Museum of Modern Art's (MoMA) permanent collection.

THE RULES OF SEDUCTION:
T
he people around you are all potential victims of a seduction, but first you must know what type of victim you are dealing with. Victims are categorized by what they feel they are missing in life—ad-venture, attention, romance, a naughty experience, mental or physical stimulation, etc. Once you identify their type, you have the necessary ingredients for a seduction: you will be the one to give them what they lack and cannot get on their own. In studying potential victims, learn to see the reality behind the appearance. A timid person may yearn to play the star; a prude may long for a transgressive thrill.
1. Choosing the right victim: Everything depends on the target of your seduction. Study your prey thoroughly, and choose only those who will prove susceptible to your charms.
Never try to seduce your own type. The right victims are those for whom you can fill a void, who see in you something exotic. They are often isolated or at least somewhat unhappy (perhaps because of re-cent adverse circumstances), or can easily be made so—for the completely contented person is almost impossible to seduce. The perfect victim has some natural quality that attracts you. The strong emotions this quality inspires will help make your seductive maneuvers seem more natural and dynamic. The perfect victim allows for the perfect chase. Life is short,
and should not be wasted pursuing and seducing the wrong people. The choice of target is critical; it is the set up of the seduction and it will determine everything else that follows. The perfect victim does not have certain facial features, or the same taste in music, or similar goals in life. That is how a banal seducer chooses his or her targets. The perfect victim is the person who stirs you in a way that cannot be explained in words, whose effect on you has nothing to do with superficialities. - inspiration from The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene 7HUESMAG.COM

LUXLIFE SEX
Common sexual health myths we always hear There are so many myths about sexual behavior. Wanna know the truth? Well here's the real deal about the misconceptions of sexual health words by William Mydell
92
You can’t get pregnant the first time you have sex. This is false: Sperm can fertilize an egg anytime, whether it is your first time or whether you have lots of sex and lots of sexual partners.
You can get pregnant by having oral sex. This is false: Even if you swallow semen (sperm), you still cannot get pregnant from oral sex.
There are certain sexual positions that will protect you from pregnancy. This is false: Again, all it takes is one egg and one sperm to make you pregnant. It doesn’t matter whether you have sex standing up, sitting down or lying down. It also doesn’t matter if you have sex in the shower or wash straight afterwards. The reality is that you can pregnant anywhere, any time and in any position.
You cannot catch an STI by having oral sex. This is false. You are just as likely to catch an STI by having unprotected oral sex, as you are by having unprotected anal or vaginal sex.
A man’s testicles will be damaged if he doesn’t have sex when he is turned on or if he hasn’t had sex in a long time. This is false: A man will not be harmed in any physical way if he doesn’t have sex.
You can’t get pregnant if a man withdraws before he comes. This is false: This is absolutely not true. Before a man ejaculates, he releases fluid from his penis. This fluid contains sperm and can very easily result in pregnancy.
Condoms can be washed out and re-used. This is false: Condoms are only effective if they are used once. The friction (movement) of sex weakens the condom and so it will break if you re-use it. If you are strapped for cash and are over the age of consent, you may be able to get cheap or free

condoms at places like the Red Ribbon Project Dublin Aids Alliance or a STI clinic, or your student’s union. You will always have symptoms if you have an STI. This is false: Not all STIs present with symptoms. Many STIs have no symptoms or are symptom free until the STI has caused significant health issues. Therefore, it is vital that you always practice safe sex and that you get regular check-ups. You can use plastic bags or cling film instead of condoms. This is false: Never ever, use something like a plastic bag or cling film instead of a condom. Only condoms protect you from STIs and pregnancy. They are specially designed to catch the sperm and keep you safe from infection. Women can’t get STIs from sex with another woman. This is false: You can catch a variety of STIs from woman to woman sex. Many people are not aware of this. It is vital to always protect yourself, no matter whether you are having sex with a man or a woman. For oral sex that is performed on a vagina or anus, you can use a dental dam to protect against STIs.

Sperm can live for up to seven days, so if you ovulate (release an egg) the week after your period, you can actually get pregnant. To be safe, you shouldn't have sex during your period unless you are using some form of contraception.

TESLA’S NEW SECONDGENERATION ROADSTER WILL BE THE FASTEST PRODUCTION CAR EVER MADE 94

2020
CAN'T ARRIVE QUICK ENOUGH
Although you can't drive off the lot right now in the fastest production car ever made, you can reserve one for $20,000. That's right guys, this car doesn't even go into production until 2020. But it's thee hot item. edited by Will Mydell 7HUESMAG.COM

E
lon Musk promised a huge surprise during the Tesla semi unveiling event, and man did he over deliver: ladies and gentleman, it's the return of the Roadster. But it’s far from a repeat performance, far from it. The impressive four-seater roadster boasts jaw-dropping numbers that have other sports cars sweating bullets, that if they measure up to Musk’s claims, will make it the world’s quickest production car, hands down...period. In his remarks, Musk described it as a “smackdown” to the fossil fuel-addicted auto industry. The finale to his semi truck reveal was all about driving home that point. As the opening guitar licks and screams of the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” ravaged over the loud speaker, a beam of red zipped across the parking lot. Was it a bird, was it a plane...no, it was the secondgeneration Tesla Roadster, coming to an abrupt halt, and a grinning Elon Musk came back on the microphone to introduce his latest toy, which will likely cause Porsche and Ferrari to poop a brick. Musk claimed the base model will do 0 to 60 in 1.9 seconds, easy. If true, that would make it the first production vehicle to crack the twosecond threshold. He also said the new Roadster would climb from 0 to 100 mph in 4.2 seconds, and will clear the quarter mile in 8.9 seconds (in case the Fast & Furious drag race franchise comes calling). “It’ll be faster than that jet over there,” Musk quipped, as an airplane soared over the exultant crowd crammed into Tesla’s Hawthorne, California facility. Musk said he wouldn’t confirm the top speed, but hinted that it was “above 250 mph.” By comparison, the Agera RS by Sweden’s Koenigsegg currently holds the world record at 277.9 mph. As fans mouths dropped to the pavement, Musk said the Roadster had a 200kWh battery pack and a 620-mile range per charge, or over 1,000 kilometers. Again, another record shattered , or so Musk claims. Imagine driving from Los Angeles to San Francisco and back, without

learned the art of flipping the script by delivering heavy on delight. Tesla spent $1.1 billion on its auto business in the most recent quarter, and it expects expenses of $1 billion in the current one. The company had about $3.5 billion in cash and cash equivalents as of September 30th. At the current cash-burn rate, Tesla would likely be down to about $1 billion in cash by the end of the first quarter of 2018. The potential outcome of such an event helps explain the timing of the Roadster’s reveal.
recharging, Musk teased. The vehicle has three motors (one in the front and two in the rear), allwheel drive, and torque steering. The design is clearly a slap in the face against the sports car industry. There are possible cues from all the majors players, including a McLaren P1 cockpit, an Acura NSX exterior, Bugatti Chiron headlights, a Targalike roof, and a rear reminiscent of an Aston Martin DB10. “The point of doing this is to give a hardcore smackdown to gasoline cars,” Musk said. Driving any other turbo-charged sports car, is going to feel like a steam engine with a side of quiche. But there is a wait: Musk said production isn’t scheduled to start until 2020, and production deadlines at Tesla have traditionally been optimistic. You can reserve one now for $50,000 towards the $200,000 base price – or get one of the first 1,000 Founders Series models with more performance and an asking price of $250,000 that has to be paid now. While Model 3 customers wait, Tesla has dug down deep in its heels and reminded its fans where the brand love all began: the 2008 Roadster. Musk has been teasing the return of Tesla’s first production car since 2011, when the vehicle ended its run. But the promised date of 2014 came and went, and instead, the electric automakers fans got the Model S, followed by the X and the 3. This evening’s semi truck unveiling was meant to signal the next stage in Musk’s “Master Plan.” As Musk has shown time and again he has
