SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY: OR SIMPLY, SOLO
An upcoming American space Western film centered on Han Solo, a character from the Star Wars franchise, directed by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Ron Howard. The film is being produced by Lucasfilm from a screenplay by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film will be the second Star Wars anthology film, following the 2016 film Rogue One. A stand-alone installment, set prior to the events of the original 1977 film, it explores the adventures of a young Han Solo and Chewbacca, including meeting Lando Calrissian. The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Solo, alongside Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo, and Paul Bettany. Principal photography began in January 2017 at Pinewood Studios, under the direction of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The pair left the project in June 2017 after reportedly being fired over "creative differences" with Lucasfilm, and Ron Howard took over directing duties. The film is scheduled to be released on May 25, 2018. It will be released in RealD 3D and IMAX 3D. Premise pulled from Wikipedia.org 7HUESMAG.COM

d culture. I appreciate an ic us m s ve lo ho w mecca h ut was becoming a music it d Just a dude from the so ki a as w I n he w e us Atlanta so much beca TH -We are excited to have you featured in our latest issue as our 7Hues Icon. How does it feel? DWH -It’s a pleasure for me! It’s always delightful to receive a confirmation that one’s activity and projects are going in the right direction. So getting your appreciation makes me even more confident and determined. TH -So, DanteWuzHere! Tell us a bit about yourself; Who is DanteWuzHere? DWH -Just a dude from the south who loves music and culture. I appreciate Atlanta so much because when I was a kid it was becoming a music mecca. Alot huge hits and legendary artists came out of atl. But anything remotely related to music and culture whether it be art, dance or fashion moves me. TH -Let’s get into your background a bit; Where are you from? What’s your nationality? DWH -I am originally from Florida my parents backgrounds on my mom side is black with native american root. My dad’s side of the family is afro latino. TH -We see that you are no stranger to music or the music industry starting at a very young age, working with and writing for some of the biggest names who we all know and love. You've worked with and on projects for artist like Kelly Rowland, Lil Mo, Karina Pasian, Mya, Lyric, Blaque and Debra Killings just to name a few. You've also worked with major producers like Bryan Michael Cox who we know produced mega hits for Usher, 7HUESMAG.COM
11
Mariah Carey, and Jagged Edge, to others like Organized Noise who produced hits for artist like OutKast, En Vogue and TLC and these are just a few. Tell us about your accomplishments as a singer and songwriter; share some of your greatest experiences. DWH -So far my greatest experience has been the in studio experiences with these stars that I look up to and admire. I will say the highlights I automatically go to is the time I got to work with Narada Michael Walden who to me is a musical LEGEND. Here I am in the studio with a man who has written and produced for legends from Whitney Houston to Aretha Frankilin. Here I am working with this legend afraid to tell him this part in the beautiful ballad he wrote that there was a part I didn't like. He pulled me to the side and gave me this pep talk assuring me that I was there because I was valued and to give my input so we can make a great record. It was an amazing experience. And the next most amazing experience would be contributing to a Grammy nominated album. TH -Tell us about your last album "Electric Mayhem" that you toured with in Japan. DWH -Electric Mayhem, all I can say is that the process of recording this album and my entire experience in Japan was life changing. The way of life, the culture, the food. I fell in love with the place. But the music we did was punk rock driven, something i had never done before. I wanted to give them what they wanted but also incorporate my style into it as well. A little bit of R&B/Soul, a little Hip Hop and some funk. I think we meshed those elements together very well. The touring and spot dates were fun as well and connecting with the people. I remember our first week of rehearsals I was hoarse almost instantly trying to keep up with the loudness of the guitars and they belting and screaming I would do. I had the time of my life. TH -Was being a singer/song writer or performer your first and only love? DWH -I have to give a strong yes on that. I remember when I was younger I would force my cousins to make these recordings with me of songs I written myself then we would perform them. I would then force my childhood best friends to create these dances with me so it would be me and my best friends having these dance battles with my cousin and her friends. Hilarious! So yes, although I was shy in all other areas music brought out something in me that made me feel special. TH -As an artist; what would you call your style of music? DWH -I consider my style of music r&b/soul as the foundation with a mix of funk, rock and hip hop. An eclectic mix of all the sounds and genres I know and love. I say that because my household was full of music. My grandparents would play gospel and blues, my mom and her sisters would play r&b and soul from Teena Marie, Rick James to Prince, Michael and stuff like En Vogue and Sade. My dad would play a lot of different things from Phil Collins to Earth Wind and Fire. He would always have the aoft rock stations playing in the car. One of my Aunts is the reason I love Prince to this day! TH -What are your goals as an artist? Where do you 12

want to see yourself 7 years from now? DWH -In 7 years I see myself still here, cultivating a successful career and using my platform for philanthropic reasons. I'd also like to start a movement/ charity to shine light on mental health and depression in the inner city. Something that's never really focused on or discussed. TH -How about you tell us about your latest project you're cooking up, and the first single? DWH - I'm currently in the pre-production for my new album entitled Paradiso. The inspiration is from Dante Alighieri’s Paradiso which is based on Dante's ascending into heaven. The first single is called Heaven Help Us. TH -What’s the message behind the song? DWH - Heaven Help Us is my message to the world. The way I view the world and it's present state. Racism, school systems being neglected, systematic issues you name it. It's not meant to be a political statement but more of my way of airing my frustrations with what I see happening and expressing my empathy and the fight. TH -Is “Heaven Help Us” your single from your latest album or EP? What should we expect from this new album? DWH - Heaven Help Us is my first single. We are in the early stages of the production but I plan to loosely follow some of Dante's ascending in to the layers of heaven. Examples would be Love, Hope, Courage you know? I just want something that feels good in concept and musicality.
‘hood’s rockstar” you know like a little bit of Lenny Kravitz, a little of street wear with hint of Playboy and eccentricity thrown in there. TH -What would you say is your favorite thing to wear? DWH - Sunglasses! I love a dope pair of shades to accent my wardrobe. I'm also huge into some fly kicks. TH -What completes your look before you walk out the house? DWH - The right accessories. The right bracelets, watch, necklace or rings can really make an already great look pop even more. TH -If you had to choose 7 items in your wardrobe you couldn’t live without what would those 7 items be? DWH - This one necklace that I ALWAYS wear because of the sentimental value. A cool pair of shades, a dope sneaker, comfortable pair of jeans, studs, my favorite cologne and depending on where I'm headed to say the gym or studio I like to carry a nice backpack. TH -Do you think it is important as an artist to always be dressed well and in style? Tell us Why? DWH - Absolutely! Your style is your statement, it is your stamp, your individuality. It makes you the artist you actually are and can make you stand apart. For me it makes me feel that much more confident. Your image is what drives curiosity and influence. You know, make people want to engage with you whether it be fans, publications or fashion brands. TH -Well DanteWuzHere thank you so much spending time and chatting with us here at 7Hues Magazine. Before you go why don’t you let our readers know where they can follow you and listen to your music. DWH - Thank you 7Hues for having me. It has been a pleasure. 9-1-1 (2018) TV-MA | 45min | Procedural drama Released: January 3, 2018 (USA)
WHO DO YOU CALL WHEN YOU'RE IN NEED OF HELP?
Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Aisha Hinds, and Oliver Stark in 9-1-1 (2018)
written by Robbie Dawson
To say Fox’s 911 is anything less than Innovative and fresh would be the understatement of 2018. In a time where crime dramas, have become a bit of a crime on good writing and character development; fox’s 911 never falls short of stellar. With amazing writing, breathtaking cinematography and the undeniable powerhouse that is Angela Bassett. The 9-1-1 (2018) - Promotional Poster supporting cast delivers captivating performances episode after episode while paying respects to many of our brave men and women who are sworn to protect and serve. For example, "The 911 Operator"; the writers smartly use 911calls as a bit of exposition. Which I found to be a very smart choice that keeps the pacing moving forward and makes the viewer feel like the shoe could drop at any moment. The show also takes time for social commentary and sheds light on PTSD in First Responders. The subject matter of PTSD I found to be a very important conversation that needed to be had. Long story short its 911 to the rescue Wednesday at 9pm on Fox.

7HUES ADVICE:
Putting stuff down on paper forces you to order the information and create spatial relationships between it, which helps you retain and recall key facts. Brain-dumping also frees up mental and emotional bandwidth: Writing down negative thoughts then physically throwing them away can clear your mind. So don’t stop at writing down your resolutions to make them more real. Create to-do lists. Take notes in meetings, even if you throw them away straight after. Record your workouts to ensure you’re making progress. And jot down three things that you’re grateful for every evening.

HOW TO STYLE YOUR WARDROBE
LIKE A PARISIAN MODEL written by Jessicka Bell
Parisian style has been something that women around the world have been trying to emulate for years. It’s effortless and distinctive, and no one wears it better than Parisian models.
Image from Shutterstock.com
While some elements are simple enough to copy (wearing striped tees or keeping colors neutral), others take a little more thought and planning. But there are a few tips that we can learn from Parisian it-girls to add a little je ne sais quoi to our wardrobes. Here are eight ways to style your wardrobe like a Parisian model.
1
Listen to Coco. No one is more synonymous with Parisian style than Mademoiselle Coco Chanel herself. One of her most famous style rules was “before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.” This translates into keeping jewellery simple, no more than three delicate pieces at once. On the other hand, if wearing a statement piece (such as a scarf, a hat, or a great pair of shoes), these should be the primary focus, and everything else kept simple.
2
Forget the labels. For the Parisians, it is neither stylish nor tasteful to dress in clothes merely because they are "designer". Style is determined by how a woman wears the clothes, not what label she is wearing.
3
Smart is sexy. The French prefer to play the intellectual card, instead of being overtly sexy. They believe that their sexiness is a result of how they walk and hold themselves. For this reason, forget your push-up bra or short skintight dress. Instead, leave it to the imagination and be sexy within yourself.
4
Love your “uniform”. One thing that all Parisian models have in common is a “uniform”. They have spent time curating their look, and they know what works, what they like, and what is comfortable. They don't feel pressure to change this for seasonal trends.
5
But be open to surprises. That being said, don’t let your uniform make you predictable! Update your uniform in small surprising ways, such as a single rip in your jeans, or a pair of sneakers with your fancy dress.
32
7HUES FEBRUARY 2018
6
Relaxed and flattering fits are your best f r i e n d s . Related to the intellectual over sexy point, French girls tend to bypass skinny jeans with crop tops or bodycon dresses. Instead, they opt for A-line dresses and jeans with long jackets. Their femininity is expressed through boyish silhouettes or cinched waists with relaxed shapes.
7
Follow your i n s t i n c t . When it comes to style, it is the little things that make a difference. Personal style is when you first see the woman, and then you look at the clothes. Before you go out and buy a whole new wardrobe, take some time to work on your inner self. Whether it is perfecting your posture, feeling confident everywhere you go, smiling often and slyly, or just accepting yourself for who you are, clothing can only do so much, and the Parisians know that true style is more than skin-deep.
8
Balance the dressy and the c a s u a l . The key to Parisian model style is sophistication mixed
with a little imperfection. This means adding a casual element to a dressy outfit or combining an elegant item with a casual outfit. Ideas include wearing jeans with gem-encrusted heels, a tuxedo jacket with sneakers, a pencil skirt with ballet flats, a chiffon print dress with battered biker boots, a sequined sweater with men’s trousers, or an evening dress with a straw handbag. What it doesn't propose is trying too hard to make anything seem too perfect. That’s the real Parisian style. This is true whether talking about your ensemble or yourself Once you have committed these eight tips to memory and have curated a closet filled with basics that reflect who you are, you are well on your way to styling your wardrobe like a true Parisian model. Who knows, you may even be able to join a modelling agency in Dubai, London, or maybe even Paris! AUTHOR BIO Jessicka Bell co-founded the AgenC, one of the leading model/ talent agencies in the Middle East, in 2014. After just three years in the market, the AgenC now works with most (if not all) of the heavy hitters in media and fashion, as well as represents over 1,000 talents ranging from international models through to cast, kids, creatives and photographers.

MILAN, LONDON, PARIS, & FLORENCE hosted a vast variety of creative couture fashion's you should look forward to this upcoming Spring 2018. Our favorite looks start with the beautiful styles of Zuhair Murad. The Lebanese designer looked to Native American symbols and visual vocabulary for a collection filled with geometric motifs. One of our favorite looks featured is the long figure hugging transparent dress adorned with flamboyant red shimmering flames. Our second favorite look is Givenchy. Night visions. The gleam of moonlight on a garden in spring, its flowers bathed in the silvery glow. Designed by Clare Waight Keller, the Givenchy Haute Couture Spring Summer 2018 collection invokes conversations between structure and motion. Diaphanous and crystalline, a modern approach to what is precious melts dense opulence with extreme purity. The Jean Paul Gaultier Paris Spring-Summer 2018 Collection catwalk show is dynamic, hypnotic, and embraces the unexpected! The ‘60s vibes bring us back to the days of color blocking and monochrome, in a tribute to Monsieur Pierre Cardin.

The Schiaparelli Haute Couture collection Bertrand Guyon's African-flavored display was an homage to founder Elsa Schiaparelli's Pagan Collection. Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren created the entire collection from the same fabric: a technical duchesse satin from Japan, a cloth that for the design duo “spells couture.” Ralph & Russo Spring/Summer 2018 couture is a continued celebration of the many facets of all women and the collection pays homage to the Eastern exploration of Creative Director, Tamara Ralph. Resonant of traditional Asian decoration and punctuated by imperial red silk crêpe, acid green gazar and canary yellow silk satin; the collection is a spectrum of exoticism, with transparent illusion tulle suits, crystal embroidered jacquard and draped kimono-style silhouettes edged in layers of decorative tassels blends of cashmere-chinchilla, cashmere-mink, cashmere-Super 170’s wool and pure cashmere. Elie Saab, the Lebanese designer, worked a palette of the era’s Champagne range, with pale gold and dusty pink, sparkling, all of it. The rhinestones were larger than life, and, along with the beadwork, built a shimmery gold and silver blend, accented by soft, sky blue feathers.

O U R FAV O R I T E L O O K S Olga Vilshenko, designer of Vilshenko created a beautiful floaty dresses in imaginative prints, often inspired by her country’s folk imagery. For Pre-Fall, she found a vintage wallpaper on one of her frequent flea market expeditions, and turned it into a print of a magical autumnal woodland, with birds chirping and leaves falling, rendered in shades of coral, mint, and royal blue. Elsewhere, there were long printed kaftans, languid black velvet jumpsuits, short frilly tunics with smocked bibs, and silk jacquard palazzo pants worn with soft cashmere sweaters. For Pre-Fall, Fausto Puglisi, reverted to a more substantial diet of over-the-top more-is-more. Tuomas Merikoski, Aalto’s creative director, tinged Aalto’s Finnish restraint with a Parisian l’air du temps, softening the rigor of Nordic minimalism with imaginative notes for Pre-Fall. He also tapped into a hippie, slightly vintage-y vibe, loosely referencing the alternative music label Love Records, which was big in Finland in the ’70s.

Antonio Berardi Pre-Fall 2018
O U R FAV O R I T E L O O K S “Jackie O decides to go to Tokyo to meet the royal Imperial family of Japan and makes a stopover in Kyoto,” is how Andrew Gn summed up his Pre-Fall collection. Japan is a recurring theme for the designer; having been born in Singapore and with a Chinese and Japanese background, his appreciation for Eastern imagery comes unfiltered. Andrew states that he is “I’m one-third Japanese and two-thirds Chinese, like a mai tai!”. If you add a flair for decorative opulence, as well as a rare connoisseur’s eye for antiques, you have an idea of Gn’s elaborate style. “I’m a born maximalist,” he emphasized. Lorenzo Serafini threw a little rock ‘n’ roll vibe into the mix to keep things lively for his Pre-Fall Collection. A gentle punky vibe added modernity to long tartan skirts worn with oversize knitted sweaters, or to double-breasted, military-inspired tailored blazers (replicas of the ones recently paraded by Kate Middleton) paired with high-waisted leggings. In Dice Kayek Pre-Fall Collection she favors fabrics that are quite dry to the touch; they help retain her signature sculpted shapes, which she molds as if they were malleable putty. A pair of high-waisted, wide-leg trousers were made out of a textured wool normally used for polar coats; scuba jersey was applied for hooded sweaters with balloon-ish batwing sleeves.

EAR TO EAR VOICE CONVERT POWERED BY NAVER PAPAGO, MARS EARBUDS ARE A REAL-TIME TRANSLATION PLATFORM, WHICH SUPPORTS EAR-TO-EAR TRANSLATION. ONLY ONE SET OF EARBUDS NEEDED FOR TRANSLATION, WITH NO EXTERNAL DEVICES. FEATURES CLOVA AI AND NOISE-BLOCKING TECHNOLOGY
T
he Clova AI-supported earbuds MARS, which enable real-time, in-ear translation, won the CES 2018 Best of Innovations award in the Headphones category on Friday (Japan time). The CES Innovation awards, which were held at CES Unveiled New York, are given annually to honor outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products.
In addition, MARS integrates and interconnects fully with everyday life thanks to Clova, the artificial intelligence platform that has also been co-developed by LINE and NAVER. With Clova, users can enjoy music streaming, check the weather, and control IoT devices, all using simple voice commands. Built on LINE’s extensive array of big data and digital content, Clova is the only AI platform developed from the ground up for Asian users and languages.
104
7HUES FEBRUARY 2018
The MARS wireless Bluetooth stereo earbuds were developed jointly by LINE Corporation, owner and operator of the LINE messenger app and social media platform, and NAVER Corporation, Korea’s leading internet company. The in-ear headphones were recognized for a combination of useful new features, including real-time translation, Clova AI integration, and superior noiseblocking to ensure usability even in loud settings.
MARS is scheduled to be released in early 2018. Clova integration with MARS will be available in Korea first, but is slated to roll out subsequently in other countries.
MARS’s real-time, earto-ear translation — powered by NAVER Papago — supports 10 languages, including Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, Vietnamese, Thai and Indonesian. Unlike other translation headphones, MARS only requires one set of earbuds. Each person uses one of the earbuds, which are able to connect to each other and offer real-time translations.
MARS also features automatic noiseblocking to reduce ambient noise and ensure clear voice recognition even in disruptive environments. With microphones placed “inside” the earpiece, MARS picks up a user’s voice directly through the ear canal, blocking outside sounds and providing clear phone calls. Even when used at a noisy location, like a rock concert or on a busy street, the user’s voice can be heard cleanly by the earbud microphones.
