The revolutionary war that put the settlers in full control
THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR IS VERY IMPORTANT IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA BECAUSE IT GAINED THE PEOPLE IN AMERICA INDEPENDENCE FROM THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT, IT ALSO LET THEM FORM THEIR OWN COLONIES AND GOVERNMENT. THE AMERICANS CHOSE TO FIGHT FOR INDEPENDENCE FROM GREAT BRITAIN FOR MANY REASONS. THEY BELIEVED THE BRITISH WERE TREATING THEM UNFAIRLY. THE BRITISH PASSED MANY TAX LAWS THAT IMPACTED THE AMERICANS. THE COLONISTS ALSO HAD NO REPRESENTATIVES IN PARLIAMENT TO VOTE ON THESE LAWS. IN ENGLISH GOVERNMENT, THE PEOPLE HAD TO HAVE REPRESENTATIVES WHO COULD VOTE ON TAXES THAT WOULD AFFECT THEM. THE PEOPLE IN AMERICA HAD NO SUCH VOICE IN BRITISH GOVERNMENT. BY MARIA POPOVA
where they went what they did Even after the settlers fought and won against the british there were still people who believed in the crown there so they explored to new places. They formed new groups of people and settled in new places where resources were plentiful. Once they had settled they needed to start their own government. So when they went to find a place for their capital they wanted to find a place where everyone could get to. They chose the now new york because it could be reached by boat or by land. The reason the Revolutionary war was important because they settlers of America gained independence from the British government, formed their own colonies and their own government.
