Atomic

The first test lit up the mountains brighter than day 280 miles away. The Allies had beaten the Germans and the Italians; all that were left were the Japanese. They needed to be quieted with the newest weapons technology available. The U.S. used the atomic bomb in the mid 1900s showing their advanced weaponry, which ultimately spared the loss of millions of lives and empowered the U.S. into being the strongest in the Cold War. Our troops coming home from Germany.

How it advanced technology.

The U.S. was a leader in using advanced weaponry. We were the first to discover how to build an atomic bomb and were the first to start development. The U.S. took all of the best scientists from the allied countries to end the war. According to the website, NuclearSecrecy.com, “They went from pretty much just talking about a bomb, in theory, on paper, in late 1942, and had a project with 125,310 active employees at its peak, 22 months later. That's a huge ramp-up. This is important because it shows how the U.S. soon realized how important to the more this weapon was. This advanced project would bring about the end the war, though they had to take some lives to save others.

How the atomic bomb saved lives.

The Atomic bomb used to end World War II was rightly used to saved millions of lives. The atomic bomb saved all of the lives of the soldiers that would have died if they had fought on the front lines. It also saved all of the lives of the civilians that were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even though it took many lives it saved all of the lives that the japanese would have taken if they had won. As The Atlantic says“At Hiroshima the atomic bomb killed about 80,000 people. At Nagasaki the fatal casualties were 45,000.” and The Diplomat tells how it saved lives “ As one scholar who studied the U.S. invasion plan, Operation Downfall, notes: ‘depending on the degree to which Japanese civilians resisted the invasion, estimates ran into the millions for Allied casualties and tens of millions for Japanese casualties.’” All of those lives saved propelled the U.S. into being a world power during the cold war.

How the U.S. were propelled into being a world power.

The U.S. were empowered by the Atomic bomb into being a world power in the cold war. They were empowered by the Atomic bomb because all of the allied countries owed the U.S. Also all of the axis powers had given up some of their territory and money they had taken. The U.S. were propelled by the fact that they had discovered a way to make power out of radiation. Us news describes how we invested in many countries affected by the war “... it’s timely to recall what the United States also did to help win the peace after the war: namely, invest U.S. foreign assistance to help rebuild the war-torn nations of Europe and Japan, and eventually transform them into major U.S. allies and indispensable trading partners.”This shows how the atomic bomb That is why the Atomic bomb saved lives strengthened the U.S. and advance weaponry.

The Horrific Nazi concentration camp.

6 The Atomic bomb advanced technology, saved lives, and propelled the U.S. into being a world power with a 10 foot metal container. The U.S. were the first to develop a bomb that could wipe out an entire country. Those are the reasons why the atomic bomb was appropriately used to change the world.
