IMMAGRATION TO FINLAND

EFFECT A In the 19th century the Finnish immigrants had a tremendous effect in the Finnish homeland. However the population in Finland in a few decades lost roughly 10 percent of its population. As the land that is now known as Finland was claimed by several other countries at the time. This was a challenging time for the people in Finland because of the anti-finnish policies in the Russian government, recruiters for US government and companies went to Finland to encourage immigration and then small finnish communities in the US starting appearing in areas such as Michigan, Massachusetts, Alabama and ext.
THE SO CALLLED "TOUGH" RUSSIAN GOVERMENT
HOW THE RUSSIAN GOVERMENT WAS,
The anti-finish policies in the Russian government had sprung up because of the many feeling like the highly increasing number of finns arriving/immigrating to the US. In the beginning of the 20th century Russia and Finland were at it's climax of the Finnish Immigration. The decades of the Finnish people struggling for independence from Russia had led the breathtaking rate of having 200,000 fins arrive in the US between the 1890 - 1914. After Finland achieving their independence from Russia in 1917, Finland has become their own republic in 1919.Â
FINLAND The recruiters for the US also had to do with the high rate of the Finns migrating to the US. The recruiters for the US government and companies went to Finland to encourage to move to the US. They also guided the people to specific locations in the US. Also the recruiters decided to bring some of the successful immigrants as well. From the knowledge after the recruiters for the US, after them guiding to them to specific places in the US, they started having appearances in areas in the US such as Michigan, Alabama and Massachusetts. The new finnish Immigrants starting appearing in the great lake states so they could have jobs such as working in mines, farming, and lumber mills. Later, Michigan became the heart of Finnish America.
Finland fact, During the last ice age, Finland was covered by thick ice. When the ice later melted it showed the the surface of the land in Finland.
THE OVERALL EFFECT ON FINLAND
Furthermore, this was challenging because of the Russian government with their anti-finnish policies, recruiters for the US government and companies going to Finland to encourage immigration and the small Finnish communities.Â
