Luis Machado B Block
King George made it so America was part of england, the Americans wanted America to be it's own country so they started the Revolutionary War. During this time period America was just being colonized and was still not it's own country. But then came one of the most important war in American history The reasons the Revolutionary war was one of the most important was because that's how America’s independence was declared, it's how we got our first president, and it proved America could be it's own country.
Fact box! around 4.5 thousand Americans died and around 217,000 entered the war.
Timeline of the Revolutionary War
One of the most important reasons the Revolutionary War was important is because that's how we got our independence declared. If we didn't win the war and get our independence then we would still be part of england. One of the most important results of the Revolutionary War was America. If we didn't win the war we wouldn't even be our own country. We Got our independence declared on 1776 July 4th, this is also how the holiday the fourth of july was created. When we won the war Britain didn't just give up. Britain recognized and accepted that we are our own country. Revolutionary War 101 say, “Revolutionaries seized control of each of the thirteen colonial governments This supports my analysis because it says that Britain recognized American independence by America winning the war. Another important thing this war gave us was our first president
Earning our independance
Declaration of independance
Getting our presidency
George Washington
Another reason this war was important is because it brought us our presidency Without the war we wouldn't have had our president. The Revolutionary war is how George Washington earned his title as our first president. Without this war we America would have never had it's leaders at all because we would still be part of Britain. Our presidents are probably the biggest reason America is how it is, so without that America would be a lot worse. www.history.com says, “As the former leader of the Continental Army and chairman of the Continental Congress, Washington possessed the necessary credentials for the presidency This says how the Revolutionary War gave us our first president. Another huge reason it was important was because it proved we could be our own country.
A final reason the Revolutionary War was very important is because it proved America could be it's own country. The Revolutionary War was like a test to America to see if it could be it's own country, and it succeeded. The War was America vs. Britain. America was almost just founded and didn't have to many people while Britain had been created years ago so Britain had tons of people. That meaning Britain would have the upper hand with more soldiers. Even though America had less soldiers it's determination to become an independent country allowed it to pull through and win the war. This proved even though Britain had more soldiers. America would find a way to get out on top, which made Britain recognize America as it's own country. Revolutionary war 101 says, “whereby the colonists overthrew British rule. this sentence shows America was just a couple colonies but it still pulled through and had it's independence declared. These are some of the reasons the Revolutionary War was very important.
Proving our Worth
American Flag
This proves the Revolutionary War was very important because it proved America could be it's own country, it's how America got it's independence declared, and it's how we got our first president. I wonder if one day if America is conquered there will be another Revolutionary War?
