kinds of ghettos, Closed Ghettos, Open Ghettos and Destruction Ghettos. Closed Ghetto were usually walls or barbed fences, they would be very crowded and the people in there would be very sick. Open Ghettos had no walls or fences but they would still have restrictions on coming in or leaving. Destruction Ghettos were only up for 2 to 6 week then the germans would shoot of move the people to other camps. But all of these ghettos were harsh on all jewish people and terrible living conditions.

Harsh conditions Since the ghettos were full of people and they lived in terrible, dirty conditions. Many people would get sick and they would spread diseases all around the ghetto. Some people would have strangers live in there house because it got so crammed in the ghettos. Even if you got the common cold you would still have a chance to die because there was no doctors and if there was then he/she would be very busy constantly and they probably won’t have time to save everyone. “Tens of thousands died in the ghettos from illness, starvation, or cold.” One of the biggest ghettos was Warsaw Ghetto Which had over 400,000 Jewish people in it. Many of those people died because of harsh conditions and lack of resources. ghettos

The ghettos were a very rough place to sustain a family or just sustain yourself. Many family died because there was not enough food to feed their whole family. Many people only got a couple pieces of bread for two or three days. Many people's clothes were ripped and tore, there shoes were about to fall apart but for most of them repair is out of the question. They just had to deal with it. There was school in some of the ghettos, but many were shut down. Anyone above the age of 10 would work. This is just one of the many reasons why the ghettos were a terrible place to live.

recap In the Warsaw Ghetto, 2 years alone 83,000 Jewish people died due to starvation and disease. These three reasons just prove more and more that the ghettos in Poland were very hash and miserable to live in. But the Jewish people were strong, there were planning an uprising against the german soldiers. Many jewish people got deported to execution camps where they would be killed. In those camps there were very smart people who were planning an uprising. German soldiers marched into the camps to start executing people, it was the jewish people's time to strike. They fought for hours and surprised the german soldiers, they had won that battle. It didn’t last long before the germans came back, this time they came prepared with planes to bomb the camps. It wiped out everything and everyone. Only a few survived and ran out of the crumbled walls to live their life.
