Boom, Ahhh, bang, bang. These are the sounds that many of the Vietnam soldiers would hear every night and day. The Vietnam War was a challenging time for US soldiers because of the Stress, the high rate of death and the weapons that were used.

The high rate of death for U.S. soldiers influenced many people and families. As said by Wikipedia, “By war's end, 58,220 American soldiers had been killed, more than 150,000 had been wounded, and at least 21,000 had been permanently disabled.” Also, according to Prospects, “In Vietnam, the figure was one death for every 58 who deployed.” This is a higher death rate than World War 1 and World War 2 which was around 1 death for every 40 soldiers deployed! That is why the high death rate showed how The Vietnam War was a challenging time for US soldiers.Another reason for such a high death rate was because of the dangerous weapons and vehicles that were used.
