Party

Grab some punch and take a seat! World War II was a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945, even though other conflicts had started before the war. This was one of the most deadliest wars in history, involving more than 30 countries and killing more than 50 million military and civilians. Between 1939 and 1944, 50 nations were fighting together in a war. Another thirteen more nations join around 1945 involving Australia, Belgium, Brazil, British Commonwealth of Nations, Canada, India, New Zealand, South Africa, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Greece, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Philippines, and Yugoslavia. Just by naming all of the countries you can tell how big this war was.

Rising to power was politically unstable Germany, Adolf Hitler and his National Socialist or the Natzi Party. Hitler’s invasion of Poland in September 1939 drove Great Britain and France to declare war on Germany, and that's when World War II had begun.

All About Adolf H.

Warned by officers that the Russians were only a day or so from overtaking the chancellery and urged to escape to Berchtesgarden, a small town in the Bavarian Alps where Hitler owned a a small little home, the dictator instead that he chose suicide. It is believed that both he and his wife swallowed cyanide capsules. For good measure, he shot himself with his service pistol just to be sure. A German court finally officially declared Hitler dead, but not until 1956.

All partys must end The atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, was one of the world’s first atomic bombs which actually ended the war and saved many jews but many more didn't live to see the day. At the end of World War II, huge amounts of Europe and Asia had burnt ruins. Borders were redrawn and burials were under way. But the massive efforts to rebuild had just begun. When the war began in the late 1930s, the world's population was approximately 2 billion.
