Al Boom Diving @ Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort The Al Aqah coastline on the warm waters of the Arabian Sea provides a wealth of dive sites. From colourful, shallow reef sites, to deeper wreck sites, nature reserves to artificial reef, there is something for everyone. Turtles, black-‐tip reef sharks, stingrays, angelfish and coral are everywhere. Located within the 5 Star Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, with dive boats departing from the beach, our PADI IDC Centre is the home of fun, comfortable and easy diving – and snorkeling. Gourmet sub-‐sandwiches can be ordered to enjoy between dives. After a good day’s diving, divers can avail of 25% discount at the hotel’s Gonu Beach Bar, while discussing the dive with their dive buddies. Divers can opt to dive and stay at the hotel, or opt to join our Musandam dives, just 15 minutes away. Aside from daily diving, PADI courses are conducted on site, and our retail store offers the latest gear from Aqua Lung, Cressi and Suunto, amongst others. Hours: 8am – 6pm daily Al Boom Diving @ the Golden Tulip Beach Resort, Dibba, Musandam The Musandam is a remote and beautiful area with unlimited diving options in a non-‐commercialized setting. Home to migrating whale sharks, turtles, a wealth of Indian Ocean reef fish, and corals -‐ this area is truly un-‐spoilt. Often referred to as the “Norway of Arabia”, mountain fjords descend into a warm ocean, rich in marine life. Although the Musandam is within the Sultanate of Oman, no visa is required to enter or exit, only your passport, making access to the Musandam diving easy. The area is classified into two sections: Zone 1, from the Golden Tulip Beach Resort, up to the fishing village of Leema; and Zone 2, which extends from Leema up to the Khor Hablane area. A variety of dive sites, suitable to all levels of diver, can be found in both areas. Diving, snorkeling, sun tanning and cruising trips depart by speedboat, and on traditional Arabic dhow boats. Most divers opt to dive and stay, with great packages for divers available from the hotel. A 20% discount on food and beverages is available to Al Boom Divers at the hotel. A small retail store is located within the hotel lobby for your last minute dive requirements.
Dives by Speedboat Ideal for trips into Zone 2, but also catering to diving in Zone 1, our dive speedboat departs daily from the beach of the Golden Tulip Beach Resort. Our friendly dive guides will make sure that you get the most out of your dives, while diving safe. Gourmet sub-‐sandwiches can be ordered to enjoy between dives, and divers can enjoy 25% discount on a late lunch when returning to the hotel. Diving, snorkeling and sun-‐tanning on the Friday Dhow A weekend institution for local residents and tourists, but also available any day with a minimum of 15 guests, the Al Boom Diving Dhow Trip is a great way to enjoy the Musandam in comfort. Our double deck open air dhow provides lots of space for sun-‐tanning while taking in the sights, before your dive or snorkel session. A traditional Arabic buffet is served, with unlimited tea, coffee and soft drinks included. The dhow departs at 8:30am from the Dibba Port (5 min from the Golden Tulip Beach Resort) and returns by 4pm. Cruising, sun tanning and snorkeling on the Daily Dhow For a relaxed day out cruising in the Musandam, with time for swimming and snorkeling, join our daily dhow trip. A traditional Arabic buffet lunch, tea, coffee and unlimited soft drinks are included. The dhow departs from the Dibba Port at 10am and returns by 3pm.
Dubai Aquarium, Dubai Mall Dare to dive in the Aquarium? Or snorkel in the shark cage. Situated in the Dubai Mall, the Dubai Aquarium houses 33 sharks, a variety of rays, a giant grouper and many other species, making this a must-‐do activity in Dubai. Unlimited visibility and guaranteed marine life make this the dive of a lifetime! Shark dives run daily at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm for certified divers. First timers can complete some prior Discover Scuba Diving training either at our dive centre on Al Wasl Rd, or at the Dubai Aquarium before diving in the aquarium with a PADI Instructor. Snorkeling in the shark cage is ideal for kids, and those that are not strong swimmers. Run every 30 minutes from 12 noon until 7pm, the cage snorkeling is an exhilarating experience. The Dubai Aquarium Specialty Course takes your aquarium diving to the next level, where you will complete three dives, including a chance to watch the shark feed from within the shark cage. The Dubai Aquarium Specialty counts towards your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating and is a pre-‐requisite for the Aquarium Volunteers program. Open hours: 12 noon to 8pm daily

PADI Advanced Open Water Course Once you have the basics, it is highly advisable to complete the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course. On completion, you will be certified to dive beyond 18m to a depth of 30m, which will make more dives sites available to you. The Dubai wreck sites, the Al Aqah wreck sites, and many of the Musandam sites require the PADI Advanced Open Water Certification. In this course you will complete five adventure dives – each with a theme – such as navigation, deep dive, wreck dive, or underwater photography. Theory can be done online and one of the dives can take place at the Dubai Aquarium – the choice is yours! Continuing Education Continue your dive adventure with the seriously fun PADI Rescue Diver Course, a variety of PADI Specialty courses, and the option to Go Pro.
