PRIVACY & SECURITY The HHC, 807th MCDS is committed to protecting user privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974, 5 U.S.C. ยง 552a. Users should be aware that our social media channels are public. For their own safety and security, users should not share any personally identifiable information (PII) on HHC, 807th MCDS social media channels. Users who require assistance are encouraged to contact the unit privately either via Private Message (PM) or telephone or email to ensure their privacy. Any personal information you provide will be used for the purpose specified at the time it is collected, and will otherwise be managed in accordance with the Privacy Act. Information available on our social media channels is consistent with Army and DoD policies and principles of information and contains information cleared for public release. Information intended for the internal Army audience is available through Army Knowledge Online (AKO) at www.us.army.mil. COPYRIGHT & TRADEMARK The HHC, 807th MCDS encourages the dissemination and exchange of information. Users are free to share the information, resources, and links on their own social media. However, the 807TH MCDS and U.S. Army trademarks, logos and insignia are registered and federally protected. All U.S. Army trademarks, logos and insignia must be used under permission via an official licensing agreement with the Department of the Army. Copyright issues are under the purview of the Office of the Judge Advocate General and are covered in Army Regulation 27-60, Intellectual Property. Army Regulation 25-1 prohibits the posting of documents or information protected by a copyright on Army websites/social media without the permission of the copyright holder.

MODERATED ACCOUNT While HHC, 807th MCDS makes reasonable efforts to monitor and/or moderate content posted on it’s social media platforms, we cannot always respond in a timely manner to requests for information. Although comments may be moderated 24-7, the unit will only respond to comments during standard business hours, unless in the event of an emergency. HHC, 807th MCDS reserves the right to review, edit, and/or delete any comments it deems are inappropriate. Comments including, but not limited to, the following may be deleted or edited by the moderators:
Abusive or hurtful comments which may include: inappropriate language (e.g. profanity, racial, ethnic or gender-based language) personal attacks or defamatory statements or comments (e.g. negative personal or untrue comments about a participant), instead of just criticizing his/her posting, opinion or comments Irrelevant and redundant comments (e.g. promotion of events, groups, pages, websites, organizations and programs not related to or affiliated with the command, the Army Reserve, or DoD) Any comments that violate Operational Security (OPSEC). Please note that Soldiers found violating OPSEC via social media are subject to UCMJ. Comments that violate the privacy of the command’s Soldiers, Civilians, Family Members, Volunteers or Community Partners. Any comments that contradict these guidelines will be removed, and individuals or groups with repeated violations may be blocked from all of our social media channels.
