Some Parts From My Diary

Where did you get the inspiration? I have been keeping dairy for years, and I ususlly get inspirations from my words.

Beautiul essay doesn’t in the diary, but maybe some ugly thoughts, when I’m stressed, I grab a piece of paper and write everything down.

For example, this project: One day I was reading my old diary. surprised that the “dressing issue” has been bothering me for years, and I came up with the idea. What’s the background of this project? “Hey!! go change your clothes! “This is what I hear from my parents all the time since I was a kid . It doesn’t mean that I am dressing with a disheveled appearance. They might just don’t like the color of the shirt, or the shape in the coat.

And the most important,it’s about generation gap, and also the intense between me and my parents. I made a decision that one day I will work in fashion industry, so my parents might listen to me, respect my choice and give me the chance to pick up the clothes by myself.

Gladly, I became a fashion design student. However my parents still want to control lot of things , so i decided to take a reaction.

Making a collection that’s totally different from my parents prefference of dressing. But still stay inside their rules.

How did you start the project? First I collected the old pictures of my parents, cause I want to know what were they wearing when they were in their 20s? Since it’s a issue between me and my parents, I start a interview with them. First I have the questionnaire for them. What’s the favorite color? What’s the acceptable skirt length for you? Why didn’t you like my stylingback years ago? Why can’t I wear a sleeveless top......?

14

After the interview,I wrote every detils down, and making them in to a list.

Mom: 1. The skirt can’t show your knee, but also can’t be too long, either. 2. You may wear a sleeveless top, only if you have another top with sleeves inside. (WHAT??) 3.the neckline shall not be too low.(which means don’t show your skins too much.) 4. Wear something that fits your age. 5. Do not wear hot pants, NEVER! 6. Do not show too much of the skin. 7. Wear bright color. 8. Clothes with striped pattern is the best. 9. Don’t wear oversized top.

Dad:

Some other things:

I agreed all with your mom’s 1. As your life is given by your rules. I on;y have a few points parents, so does your body, to add on the list. no piercing, no tattoo. 1. For girls, it’s better to wear 2.Better no makeup, no other white shirt that’s elegant. decorations on the body. 2.Long sleeve preferably. 3. A-line skirt, black or beige is the best color.

3.Girls don’t need to be too smart, especially a master degree. (WHAT??)

What do you think about theese rules? I don’t agree with it, I want to dress what I like, get piercings, tattoos, and of course a master degree.

Dear my parents, I know you love me very much, but maybe try another way?

It’s a very bright and colorful collection, how did you decide the color? By collecting my parents old pictures. When they were in their twenties, the color combinations of the 80s were always very bright and colorful.

I would like to follow the bright color, adn I will try to over use the

them, since they like bright, why not make it super colorful and bright! Except the color, you can see denim also plays an important part.

What’s next? The collection have six outfits, from the first garment to the last one, should be like this. INSIDE THE RULE

COMPLETELY OUT OF RULES

INSIDE THE RULES

The original plan was to design a ready-towear collection, but after disscuss with the teacher, we decided to make it a more experimental style.

18

In this outfit, I tore up a leather jacket, long skirt, two pair of jeans (which my parents love denim.) And put them all together in to a NO neckline dress. Then I attached some decoration on the outfit.

OUT OF THE RULES

All these jeans, leather jackets, and all the pieces from this outfit are all made by myself. I add the staples on leather jacket piece, to create a more rebellious texture.

What about these two outfits?

INSIDE THE RULES

The main concept of these two outfit is to make everything inside the rules. Since they like shirts, and doesn’t like low neckline. What about let’s just cover everything up? long sleeve? them let’s do it super long sleeve. Turtle neck knitwear is also my parents favorite item, so what about this outfit made from pure turtle neck knitwear. The model

OUT OF THE RULES

will only be wearing that I had a good conone knitwear and three versation with my own others will surround collection. the butt as a skirt. Then I tore down the fabric into piece, and rebuild them into one piece. Instead of doing the fashion sketch first, this time I want to try something different, I want to show ,the process on the outfit. During the making of this outfit, I became very calm, and I feel that this is my first time,

21

What about these two outfits?

INSIDE THE RULES

OUT OF THE RULES

These two outfit has a common, that the thick fabric, with cotton between two fabrics.

“Always keep your clothes nice and tidy with no wrinkles on, that’s perfect!”

I tried to create an oversized feeling with the thick fabric like a quilt, I had to make my own thick fabric.

So I made my fabric with lots of wrinkles and you can’t even iron it. And that pants, o,you can never wear that pants

My parents always want me to put on in a proper way. more clothes to avoid getting cold and showing too much skin. I think they might want Also make the accessories me to put on a quilt when I go out.

23

What’s next?

INSIDE THE RULES

For this outfit, I tend to deconstruct the shirt itself in to different piece, rebuild them in to a monster like shape, also I add a little bit of fake fur, a bit wild elements on this outfit. First I make 5 shirts, and cut them into parts, then put it on the dummy. I sit on the chair, and just look and the sample, I spend most of the time to adjust the proportion of each parts. When everything finally looks okay, the details cost me more time, from the buttons

OUT OF THE RULES

and the metal details, I have to say this is my favorite outfit from the collection, not just because I spend of time with it but I also succfully make mine design path on the work, not just the resulf.

Just Don’t Want to Carry the Bags.

Where did you get the inspiration? Every day, we carry a lot of bags and go out. I’ve always envy those people who have fewer things. They can put things in their pockets and go out. But for someone who needs a lot of things to feel safe, it’s impossible for me to narrow down my stuff.

So what if there is an outfit with many pockets? In this case, I could bring many things without a backpack.

WHO AM I

My Wardrobe

Wear A Lot

Look into your wardrobe and pull out three item you wear a lot and three you never wear. Reflect on why these are your favorite garments and not others? Is it the fit, is it the colour, is it the fabric is it a memory related to a garment, is it the smell... Summarie, conclude and erite down your thoughts. Create a digital storyboard of your garments and conclusion.

This is my favourite trench coat and it’s also my favourite outwear during the cold weather days. It’s actually from my aunt, she said that it’s too small for her. But for me this L size trench coat is perfect for me. Though the sleeves are a little bit longer, it’s not a big problem, I just have to roll up the sleeves.

Never Wear

Denim is one of my favourite texture, Few things are as classic and versatile as denim. You can wear it a million different ways for almost any occasion, so whether it’s in the form of jeans, a dress, or a jacket, you should definitely have denim in your wardrobe. It’s comfortable enough for casual days, it can also be dressed up, and It doesn’t need to be washed that often!! Also the shape of the skirt makes me look thinner.

I love stand collar! Somehow there are no reason that I love stand collar so much. Maybe it’s because that it can be forma or casual, cause it looks good on me or on everyone. And the fabric is really comfortable, you can wear it form summer to winter. Since it’s from uniqlo, it’s quite cheap, but I have been wear it for 2 years. Also the style is really simple, it doesn’t out of fashion that quick, I can tell you that I can still wear it for another two more years!

Summary

After looking at my wardrobe and analysing all my garment choices, I figured out that I prefer a simple and minimalistic style of clothing. For the colour, most of my cloth are white, grey, dark blue or dark green,or some earth tone colour. But Somehow that I got few unique outfit like dresses with floral pattern. During the summer I usually wear white and denim a lot, cause this colour palette makes me feel much cooler ( I mean the temperature .) Also, I like to put on a thin blazer for UV cutting, well, most of the asian girl don’t like t be tan. For the cold weather, like Winter, I prefer to wear colour that is more dark like indigo or black. I like indigo the best, cause sometimes black makes you look like hard to pleasant, and that’s not how I want to be looked like.

Though this is also denim, but the shape of it makes me look fat, like crazy. Maybe some people would say that’s fine it’s alright, but the truth about why we dress up it to make ourselves look better. That’s the reason why I don’t wear it anymore, I am a lot fatter now.

About one year ago, this colour its pretty popular during the college student girls, I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I bought it and I only wear it for like only 7 times….. The pleats doesn’t looked so good when it was dressed on somebody. And it’s actually a little bit too long for me…. I am short….

This is actually a very good quality T-shirt, and it cost more than 1500 NT dollars.

Colour: White,black, indigo

The reason why I didn’t wear it anymore is the pattern on the T-shirt. I bought this T-shirt about 5 or 6 years ago.

Style:

After I got into college and I start to fall in love with T-shirt with a clean surface which is non pattered. But I still have to say that the shape of this T-shirt is great and looks good on me.

Fabric:Nnature fabric

SS: Oversized outwear (light weight fabric) fitting clothe in side the outwear. AW: Oversized outwear and fitting clothe in side the outwear. basically same as Spring Summer.

Stories

Answear the following questions about yourself. What makes you a designer and what are you good at? What kind of garments/ fashion do you design? What is your design process, how/ where do you start desiging? What are youattracted to as a designer, on the street, in magazines, art, culture, celebrity, music, when you see somebody who you think looks good why do you think they look good? What influences you as a designer? What are your aspirations? What’s different about your ddesign and makes them stand out? Who’s your favourite designer? Why? Summaries the above into a paragraph that you can read in the book. Then create a storyborad of yourself, things that inspire you, designs you like, art you like etc..

My Story

What makes me want to be a designer was really funny, it’s because of my parents. I was the kids that would want to choose my own outfit, my parents called it as stubborn. But I called it was the insistence of my spirit! My parents controls my dress style, and I have always dream about maybe one day I can make my own clothe, in that way, they can’t control me anymore. When I was a little girl I was fascinated with Barbie dolls, I know it sounds cliche but it’s true, I love to change their outfit and even try to make their mini clothe by myself. Also there is book called Fashion Illustration Dictionary in my mother’s shelf. She was a translator for fabric import/ export company, that’s why the book was there. The book is filled with so many fashion illustrations and different kinds of fashion style, and of course names.

How I start designing

Writing down all the thoughts first, I used to think I am a more emotional person but not. I am more touched by the words, so I like to write down all my thought first. Collecting all the inspirations and elements I need, then I go to Pinterest to find some reference. I am trying not to go to pinterest, cause I am now finding my own style now. Everyone goes to Pinterest searching for images and most of the time we found same ideas. Now i would like to go to library to find inspirations or reading some poems. Once I found the image I like I will start to analyse the reason why I like it and take it apart in to different elements I want to out in my design.

Since I found that book it became my favourite at that time. This is also a story about how I want to be a fashion designer.

Language is another advantage, thought my grammar is not really good, but at least I am not afraid to speak to others.

I still remember that my first essay about “My future Career “at elementary school was not astronaut or president of the universe, it was fashion designer.

Expect English, I am also learning Italian. Language is a very important tool in everyone’s life.

Expect basic fashion design ability I think I am also good at making graph design and photography.

I will keep learning and maybe someday I can be able to talk in 5 different languages.

Sometimes my classmates would ask me of I could do the photo shooting of their garments. I really enjoy it and I am also still learning it. Photography is one of my hobby and also the ability I want to keep improving. Graphic designing is what I sometimes do for earning some money. I am pretty enjoy making good looking layout although I am still learning about it, too.

What attracts you as designer

What makes your design standout?

Magazines attracts me a lot, I have always fascinated by those beautiful and fancy picture in Between the words.

Easy to match up:

Good Quailty:

Combines with new medias :

Since my design is simple, details and nice cutting will be my advantages.

Good quality is an encesstial element for every fashion label, nice fabric can lasting longer and of course, looks a way better!

There will be an app for my brand, in this app, if you still can’t decide what to wear, you can easily press a button then you can get a suggestion for your outfit.

Through the word I can know more about the trends, learning what’s new what’s in trend now. Because I like to know new things. Music also plays a big part of my life, I used to be in a band. I can’t lived without music, it makes me feel comfortable when emotional, through music I see more. Art and culture are important too, I have been thinking ” What is the culture if Taiwan ?” Haven’t figure it out yet but I will keep searching.

Also my design is really easy to match, if you don’t know what to wear or too lazy to think what to wear. Just put on my design! There are orange label, silver label…. and so on. For all the orange label, every orange label can be matched up, it’s already matched up for costumers. There would be other labels, silver labels are special items, sometime you need one or two special items to light up your look.

Except nice fabric, cutting line is also very import, a nice cutting line actually makes your design standing out from others. A simple one centimetre’s different might makes the design from fast fashion to haute couture.

Or you can check up the lookbook that other people uploaded, always stay sharp to the newest fashion trend. Nowadays, people are more and more rely on the media, especially social media, my design is gonna focus on online shop also.

My aspirations

Who is my favourite designer?

Actually I want to be an fashion editor or working in an fashion media company ( I am currently an junior editor in an Online Magazine called Everyday Objects now )

I am a very weird person. Fond of both simple design and decorative surface. Maybe it’s because my zodiac sign, Pisces, like two different souls in one person.

For the short aspects, I wish I could get into the final of the graduated fashion show, and before the I need to make enough money then, and hopefully I can’t finish this project successfully.

For me, there is no “one favourite designer”, I enjoy most of the designers works,Chris Van Assche and Raf Simons are two of my favourite designers, their designs are always clean and nice cutting.

Middle term aspects are going to Shanhi to get an internship opportunity, or if I get enough money, I have been desire to go to NYC to get an internship in Jason Wu Studio. At Last, for the long term aspects, I wish I could be in Europe or somewhere else expect Taiwan to get a job there.

My Storyboard

I’m always fascinated with those elegant outfit, although they looked simple, they are actually the most difficult to make, just because they are simple, designer have to make everything right, proportion, angle, and the perfect cutting line.

Summary

John Galliano is also my favourite designer, though he is a little crazy, I think he is the most talented person in the world. He can combine lots of elements into one garment without looking messy. Those beautiful and over exaggerated cutting line or shape also catches my eye. For me those amazing designs or garments are like art pieces, I really enjoy them and I like the way that designers expresses themselves through fashion.

I love clean and simple things of all the time, thought I like very decorative stuff sometimes, a simple style is always look good on me. For the dressing style, I also like it to be simple, just call me old fashion or conservative person, I don’t mind. Sometimes that old stuff lasting longer and its more classic. Music, reading, and photography plays a big part in my design inspiration, I love reading cause it opens my mind a lot, music helps me get into the mood faster, and photography makes me see things in a different way, through photography I can see more. My story is not very special, it sounds like just another silly girl who loves fashion and try to become a fashion - related person. Well, I do know that I am not very talented or I might not doing well in the future. Life is hard and I am afraid of it. I don’t have that confidence in myself. But, I think this the only advantage in my personality, I am always doing my work with an attitude. Though there are always things that I don’t want to do, but I need to do, I would still finish the works.

RETAIL

#Retail Investigation

Introduction

As a designer it’s good to know and understand the retail market, know how it works andwhat’s involved. This knowledge can help you position your brand in the market and keep you ahead of the competition......

In 1989, Eslite from Taipei Ren-Ai Road. The first Eslite bookstore in Taiwan, collections includes the humanities, art, creativity, life business philosophy, positioning for the humanities and arts small professional bookstore.

Divide into group of 5 people and take a fielf trip to investigate the retail location to investigate the following things.Introduction, store Layout, price range, divisions, oversaturated, opportunites, and then show the summary. Please take photos of the location! And be careful! Some store owners don’t like designers or people who are researching. Try not to let your presence be known and take pictures secreatly.

In 1995, Eslite Tainan shop moved to the site, containing 100,000 kinds of bibliography, 230,000 books, to provide love book more professional, rich of reading options. In 1999, Shundo Dunnan shop to create a 24-hour bookstore innovation business model, open the people of zero time difference in urban reading life.

Remember to bring passport for proof of identity.

For more than 20 years, Eslite has developed from a bookstore to a composite business model centered on culture and creativity.

2F - Eslite Main Store ( 3 stores ) Art & Architecture • Design & Photography • Performing Arts • Humanities & Literature • Business & Languages • Computers • Magazines

Eslite Dunhua Store is more like a department store, there are many different brands and goods. From fashion to food or books.

Most of the store are selling womenswear, menswear seems not to be popular in Dunhua Store.

1F - Design & Crafts ( 14 stores) Eslite Writing Boutique • Stylish Collection • Fashion 3C • Professional Briefcase • Timepieces • Jewellery & Accessories

And of course we must focus on the fashion part. Most of the fashion brands in Eslite Dunhua Store are those brands we can see in other department stores. But there are some designers shop in Dunhua Store also.

GF - Fashion & Accessories ( 31 stores ) Designer Apparel • Imported Apparel • Jewellery & Accessories • Fragrance & Skincare • Café

As we see, most of the costumers are office lady, elderly women, or moms with kids. That’s why here having so many womenswear. So the percentage of menswear and womenswear is about 15% and 85%. Interestingly, there are no children’s wear here! That’s kind of weird cause there are kids here a lot ( We will talk about this issue again in opportunities )

Opportunities

Now we are going to focus on the fashion floor which is B1, during the research, we saw lots of Jewellery & Accessories booth. We Called it booth it’s because they have no shop, just a desk to show the jewellery, the jewellery was fine but the whole feeling was wrong.

Just like what we mentioned earlier, there are lots of moms would bring their kids to Eslite Dunhua Store, there does have children’s bookstore but no Childrenswear!

The booth is everywhere and even stock the path to walk. Oh, and here comes to another problem: TOO MANY STORES! Based on the numbers we count, there are about 42 stores/ booths in B1. The space it’s not really that big, and it makes people to feel a little bit stressed, also too many goods that would make people don’t know what to see or what to choose. Goods are everywhere. “Too many good only make worse” this is a slang from a famous chinese book that teaches you how to run a business. It’s quite true cause a successful business should stay remain it’s own core. For example, Starbucks is famous for its coffee, if there are more then 50% drinks are coffee non-related that would be totally weird. And also, Eslite is always famous for it’s good sense of beauty and quality, but in the B1, it doesn’t really show the sprit, we are sort of disappointed.

Summary

This store is more like a milestone for Taiwan’s bookstore history, we should always cherish it, not likely to abandon the history.

Since we had already rationally analysis the opportunity and oversatuated , we think we need a more emotionally summary.Dunhua Eslite is the oldest eslite store in Taiwan. The building and the interior design is also not that fancy. And maybe it’s the location, people who come here is about 35-50, or parents with kids.

If our common sense are not wrong, Childrenswaer are the easiest goods to sell, cause parents would rather spend their money on their babes.

Compare to other beautiful stylish fancy eslite store nearby. We think that they have already done what they can do to keep the business here. As we said.... there are few new eslite nearby, and they might not want two nearby eslite store to sell similar products. As the most history Eslite store in Taiwan, Dunhua eslite already has a close relationship/ connection with the local or the locals.

We think that Childrenswear will be a very good opportunities for Eslite Dunhua Store. Another opportunities we saw is that Eslite Dunhua Store’s style too different from the other Eslite store, since it is the oldest store, but it doesn’t mean that Eslite don’t have to care about the style!

Despise the business, this place it’s more like a milestone of Taiwan’s design and lifestyle history.

Liked we talk on the previous topic, Eslite is always famous for it’s good sense of beauty and quality, they should care more about this. Also the lights was not so good either, same problem. Since Dunhua Store is the oldest store, Eslite should care more about it, maybe build up for another meaningful style? Creat a more classic and elegant style for Eslite Dunhua Store. Just like human, you are old doesn’t mean that you don’t have to care about fashion.

Brief

RESEARCH

This project is not about design, it is about creating a Brand, and design is a part of that. Your job is to create a new brand right from its nameand logo through to its philosophies and values.

Introduction

Research and analyse yourself, the retail market and your potential customers.Use the reasearch to help you find a direction, a philosophy and the values of your brand. Design a collection for this brand consisting of six outfits. Make one chosen outfit from your direction and use it in a campaign photoshot. Record all of the above info and create a brand manual.

Running a successful fashion label requires around 90 percent business acumen and only about ten percent artistic ability. Most Fashion start-ups are managed by the designers themselves who, while strong on the designe front, may have only a very rudimentary understanding of the business of fashion, especially the all-important formative years. As a result, although thousands of talented fashion designers and technicians graduate every tear, most new fashion start-uos fail. The aim od this project os to bring the gap between the design and business side of running your own label. It offers a realistic overview of the key elements needing research, development, and nurturing in context of your own business to give your fashion label a cchance to compete favorably within a demanding, unforgiving ,and competive industry. It should act as a guide through those tricky initial tears and help you create a strong fondation from which your fashion label can flourish. Extracts from “ How to run and set up a fashion label “

Target Market

A target market is a group of customers within the serviceable available market that a business has decided to aim its marketing efforts towards. A well-defined target market is the first element of a marketing strategy. Product, price, promotion, and place are the four elements of a marketing mix strategy that determine the success of a product or service in the marketplace[citation needed]. It is proven that a business must have a clear definition of its target market as this can help it reach its target consumers and analyze their needs and suitability. A target market is a group of people considered likely to buy a product or service. A target market consists of customers that share similar characteristics, such as age, location, income and lifestyle.

Online store

Where we sell

The Internet has revolutionized the way we shop. Because of the numerous advantages and benefits, more and more people these days prefer buying things online over the conventional method of going into stores. The convenience is the biggest perk. Where else can you comfortably shop at midnight while in your pajamas? There are no lines to wait in or shop assistants to wait on to help you with your purchases, and you can do your shopping in minutes. Online shops give us the opportunity to shop 24/7, and also reward us with a ‘no pollution’ shopping experience. There is no better place to buy informational products like e-books, which are available to you instantly, as soon as the payment goes through. Downloadable items purchased online eliminate the need for any kind of material goods at all, as well, which helps the environment! If you are like me, you hate crowds when you’re shopping. Especially during festivals or special events, they can be such a huge headache. Also, it tends to be more chaotic when there are more crowds out and this sometimes makes us feel rush or hurried. Grumpy, annoying, and smelly people also annoy me when I’m out shopping. Plus, parking becomes a huge issue. All of these problems can be avoided when you shop online.

Brand Story

Good quality is an encesstial element for every fashion label, nice fabric can lasting longer and of course, looks a way better! Except nice fabric, cutting line is also very import, a nice cutting line actually makes your design standing out from others. A simple one centimetre’s different might makes the design from fast fashion to haute couture. There will be an app for my brand, in this app, if you still can’t decide what to wear, you can easily press a button then you can get a suggestion for your outfit. Or you can check up the lookbook that other people uploaded, always stay sharp to the newest fashion trend. Nowadays, people are more and more rely on the media, especially social media, my design is gonna focus on online shop also.

Everyday I wake up before I go to school, I have to think what I want to wear, since I studied in fashion design department, I can’t wear like whatever. So, I start to think what if one day I don;t have to think, or if I can grav whatever I want and I won’t looked weird. So here comes the idea, EASY TO MATCH UP. The fabrics is natural and try my best to make them all MIT (This is just what I want to insist)

What is life? What is life all about? For me now life is all about school and work, I have to go to school on weekdays, and go to work on the days that I don’t have to go to school.

What is life? What is life all about? For me now life is all about school and work . But life can be very easy, reading books whole afternoon and having a stroll to nowhere.Walking around the city, searching for cute little shop or cool suff, and thinking what is life all about.

Design Matters

Fashion:

Sustainability was at the forefront of this trend, as fabrics will increasingly come from natural and recycled materials.

The look for Autumn/Winter ’18 will be all about what Palmer called “Industrial couture,” a new approach to utility where casual wear is given more of a fashion makeover.

A famous Taiwanese author said we all need to relax if we want to life. Through those peaceful moment, we’ll know what is life. I agree with his concepts, now my life is full of works, and school. I’m tired of it. I NEED LIFE. So I start to think what is life, for me, life can be very easy, reading books whole afternoon and having a stroll to nowhere, or riding a bicycle enjoy the wind blowing through the face. This is called life.

Well, for this second, please let me be myself, life is all about walking around, I am a wanderer.

Tones in the palette are softened, with an almost “smudgy” grey cast to them, and “unusual” brights will round out the color set. “The overall palette has a worn, industrial feel,” Palmer said.

Colors: Core colors will be blues, rust, pea and yellow with a slightly creamier hue. Enriched Turquoise will be a key color for the season but it will be richer, working well for both streetwear and evening wear, according to Palmer. Grey Infused will play well with the season’s green tones—which will have a more forest-like quality—for both men’s and women’s.

Shapes will become softened and more feminine, but also architectural, think: contemporary utility. Fabrics: Fabrics in this trend take on a refined industrial quality, with utility fabrics getting softer and more premium. Wool will be a focus fabric, herringbone weaves with “tweedy” effects will make an appearance, heavier, blanket weight fabrics will see greater use and flannels will be military inspired, with a dense but soft look “perfect for tailoring and separates,” Palmer said.

Chalk Pink stars as the palette-warmer with a look that’s more dusty and more transitional, moving from the spring/summer season into autumn/winter. Deep Blue will be a staple color for China in particular, but it’s repositioned for casual wear.

Range Plan

Colour trends and research

2 OUTWEAR 5 TOPS 3 SHIRTS 6 TROUSERS

2 outwear pieces will each serve a difference purpose, such a vest, coat, cardigan, and cape so that the product assortment not overcrowded in one category.

Core colors come in fiery tones, saffron and orange with ochre undertones. Red Garnet has been important in the Asia Pacific region for some time and it’s even more key going into Autumn/Winter ’18. Fire will be the season’s orange, inspired by both autumn and nature, but more intense to update the luxury market. Blue Flame, an almost violet hue, transitions from a core color to more of a fashion shade that will be popular for the casual and occasion wear markets.

For the dresses they will each vary in silhouette, length so that they can bring diverse value to the end customer. For the tops and bottoms they are all interchangeable in pairing with one another, making it easy for the end customer to purchase clothing in outfits instead of as individual pieces, resulting in increased sales. Of the 2 outerwear pieces 1 pieces will be convertible so as to have more outwear pieces to suit a variety of occasions, tempera tures and styles. Of the 6 trousers, all 6 trousers will be convertible either in colour silhouette, or function.

Blues, night shades and purples will be key, with colors mixing in more sophisticated but dark and mysterious ways. Amethyst—a big color for the season—is the trend’s purple, which works as a highlight color and pairs well with darker lapis for a “moody” combo, according to Palmer. Night shades that are almost black but with a more bluish hue will help ground the season for winter, and reds will be reclaimed—more elevated—for the luxury market. Cymophane (a gemstone) will be the season’s yellow, but more acid and golden for a more formal accent.

Soft grays, camel tones and warm retro shades color the trend. Billiard Green is one of the palette’s most vibrant and lively shades that will work well with pinks and reds, according to Palmer. Scarlet will be a core accent color that takes us into the Christmas and Chinese New Year palette. Browns have been less in fashion in recent years, but Palmer said WGSN has seen the color becoming more and more important. “It’s great for high-end materials and really luxurious fabrics,” Palmer added. `Mustard will take on a more luminous quality than in seasons past, working well as both an accent and statement color.

All 8 tops will be basic, staple pieces to serve as a strong founda tion for the collection. 54% of this collection is convertible/multi-functional, which means that despite consisting of only 16 individually sold products, it actually functions as 6 garments for greater wearability and value for the end customer.

Draping

The semi-Kimino sleeve is the important part of the project. To creat an elegant, modern but exotic feeling.

1

Draping works since 2018 I think fashion design is the conversations between fabrics, body and the designers. Once you put on the fabrics on the mannequin(or a real body),the fabrics will tell you what to do. That’s how I think draping is beautiful. It’s like making musical compositions together.

Draping transforms a garment into a work of art and makes pattern drafting noble through cutting techniques.

The key detail is to make the connected point between body pieces and sleeve pieces smooth, flat, and nice.

Three layey sleeve Ready-to-wear nowadays, the shape of the sleeve is often overlooked. The following drapping practice, I want to make these poor sleeves have a better chance to tell the world that they are important.

This dress refers to the sleeves of the kimono. I made a low-cut design on the chest. I want to compare it with the conservativeness of the kimono, so that the sexy can be unintentionally exposed by one who wear it.

I like zines, and I sometimes make them, too Th e f o l l o w i n g w o r k s a re t h e z i n e s I m a d e a ft e r t r a v e l i n g , a n d f a s h ion guidelines for the costumers.

For zine, I prefer a more relaxing and not so serious layout and content. I write everything I want.

What I want to do in future when I have more spare money is to print these zines and maybe secretly put them in to the public library.

I remember my first journal like it was yesterday—pink fur on the cover and it was filled with notes cpmplaining about my life.I think keeping a journal is like a therapy with myself, I always feel better after writing. Years passed, I start to make my travel journal into zine,it’s easier to attach the pictures and mostly I want to practice my layout skill. I hope you will like these zines!

Denmark I’ve always want to go to Denmark, LEGOLAND, Loisiana Modern Art Museum and Glyptotek.... In June of 2019, I finally fullfilled this dream! It would be nice to keep a journal for this trip.

*All pictures were taken by myself.

102

My height is 155 centimeters tall, so almost everything I first of the sculptures are their broken penis . It’s quite interesting that there’s a frame collcting all the broken noses from the sculptures, but where are all the penis? I spend whole day in Glyptotek, I love how all these sculptures are in such a nice shape and their actions are a bit twisted. Weirdly beautiful.

Hong Kong I have been to Hong Kong airport to get transfer for many times, I’ve always have a good feeling about it. However, it was really bad timing when I was in Hong Kong, the protest is still ongoing, typhoon made it rain a lot, and I had a fight with my travel partner. The trip was actually making me so upset, and I went through everything to force myself face with the sad ending. Then I did feel better after writing this.

This collection of outfits are very well tailored. I use the simplest set to present the shape of clothing itself. The soft body of the model shows the elegant flow of the clothing.

Art director: Kung Ni Chin Styling: Basie Yeh, Reci Wu, Jia Ji Lee Model: Xin Ren Wu Photographor: Basie Yeh

When thought turns into a fluid of “light”, on the screen of the times, graduates try to project their own life illusions, and they refine their thought stream by their own perception. That is the dissociation and dissociation at this moment, and it is the progress of human beings when they see each other when the individual melts into the rainbow island of concentration for a moment. The stream of thoughts is transformed into costume grammar, such as Cangjie’s book, so they can rebuild and compile the eternal “Zai”, the only reality.

Short video for social media, all made by Basie and Reci. Played on the big screen when the show was on,.

All pictures in this account are 100% non filter. People couldn’t live without filters nowadays, so I start this account to record the beautiful of the world with its own colour. Basically, just me taking pictures with my nearly broken iphone.

I like to collect my random shoots on instagram. Everything is already there. It’s easy to use, like and comment. Of course, there is that personal side of Instagram and Facebook which most official portfolios lack of; direct interaction with the creater. These two accounts are like my secret world, it’s public but seldom people saw it. In this case, it’s more pressure-free to post everything I want.

@untitled_project_015

Haven’t think of a good name for this. When walking on the street, I like to look around, usually I will found something really cool and funny. This is how I discover the world ,with a little bit dark humer and sarcasm.

The

WeChat Post These are some promoting posts/articles for the company official account that I made. The banners and pictures are usually make into a short and simple animation to catch people’s attention.

WeChat is a mobile phenomenon with the vast majority of users on smartphones in China. Businesses can launch official accounts on WeChat. These allow for the brands of their own mini-site within the WeChat application, this acts as a key area for WeChat branding and marketing.
