"Drawer": Drawers add space to use more flexibly. Using principle of 'drawer' to push the bay window enlarging the space when there are more friends and visitors. There is certain capacity space under the bay window, storaging some furniture like seats. As usual, people can lie down or sit on the bay window to reading or sleeping. That adds more models to this living room.
The original intention of the design is to have a richer life at home even people are busy. Provide a variety of leisure and entertainment and work modes. At the same time, considering the two person living mode . Their work and common life can be realized in different spaces.

OCEANSIDE TIMBER TOURIST CENTER DESIGN Instructor: Zhang Haiyan Team member: Guo Liwei Gu Haoyu Ma Shiyu （In this project, we design the structure and form together. And I am in charge of the function of the tourist center computer drawing, typesetting and manual model.)
This project aims to discover and present the relationship between wood (nature) and human (society). It locates on a beach near the sea. It provides a perfect place where tourists can relax and socialize and experience view of the sea at the same time. We use heavy timber structure to create a expressive form from the outside and a warm and pleasant atmosphere inside. Second Floor Plane

Viewing platform: the open angle of the roof and plane enlarge the viewing surface and well adapted to the site near ocean.
Outdoor corridor: the trasitional space from outside to inside; transparent material shows the inside activities. Inner space: the open space is good for sight communication and shows the structure of the building.

We use beam column structure made of GLT with simple connection (like Knapp connection) as the main structure. It can strech out to a 16m-span. The enclosure structure is made of CLT which can acquire twoway strength and serve as a warm and pleasant interior surface. The roof is a beam string structure . It expresses the tension and force. The translucent membrane structure filters light to create a bright and homogeneous atmosphere inside.

Average Area for Tomb
The root is the life of the tree, and it is also the mirror of the exuberant life of the tree. The roots of trees symbolize the continuation of life, and the light is the medium to communicate between the living and the dead, the ground and the underground, the individual and the city. The existing form of tombs erodes the urban space, and light, as a new form of sacrifice, not only realizes the sustainable utilization of space resources, but also carries the spirit of commemorating the deceased.
How to Mourn At ordinary times, the optical fiber conducts light at a fixed ratio, providing the most basic light to illuminate the memorial space.
At the beginning of the festival, the brightness of the light guide tube is changing with the occurrence of the worship behavior.
The memorial activities enter the climax, illuminating the urban ground, guiding the crowd to gather. Ground surface and underground are connected.
With the end of the memorial ceremony, the light gradually returned to the earth's surface and led people back to their real life.
In China, death is often avoided by people selectively. The annihilation of the body means that the individual also loses the final contact with the society and the city. Cemeteries are distributed in the outskirts of the city. People pay a seasonal memorial service on special festivals, which brings great pressure on urban traffic. The relationship between cemetery and city is awkward and rigid. As a necessary type of urban architecture, the relationship between cemetery and city needs to be reshaped. In this scheme, memorial is expressed in a daily and natural way, integrated into the urban landscape through a digestion method with variable scale, and encouraged the moderate participation of unrelated individuals.

The site selection of the scheme is in the common ecological green space, taking "tree" as the memorial carrier to communicate the living and the dead, the ground and the underground, the individual and the city through light. There are optical fiber in the hollow rod, and the underground sacrificial behavior affects the conduction efficiency of the light pipe. With the occurrence of the sacrifice, the light column becomes brighter and brighter, finally illuminating the city, which is also commemorating the dead in a soft way.

Distrct SWOT Analysis:
S (strength): Rich and high-quality teaching resources, a city cultural protection unit in the site , near Jinchuan River ,complete surrounding infrastructure O (opportunity): Clear policy support. Excellent geographical location and strong accessibility.
W (weakness): Shortage of parking spaces, lack of high-quality public space in the site, site too closed and inward T (threat): Dominated by residential areas, less interaction between the site and the surrounding formats
GENERAL SITE
Design Notes The design site is located south of New Model Road, between Zhongshan north Road and Matai Road. It is not only on the historical axis of Zhongshan North Road, but also in the high-tech industrial park cluster of the new model road. Taking the School of Architecture back to Hongqiao Campus as an opportunity, it aims to build an innovative school that relies on the School of Architecture, integrates teaching, designing a market, an industrial park, and a design academy, and focuses on integrating training talents. First, use the existing reserved buildings to build a public activity area with a cultural atmosphere. At the same time, move the dormitory building on the north side to the south plot to integrate it with teaching and use the surrounding business environment to enrich student life; Second, to break through the limitations of the original site and build a sunken square, which communicates the three blocks of teaching, living, and public activities. Finally, the open positioning is also convenient for nearby residents to use public resources on campus. Form an integrated, open and vibrant university campus.
