WASHING INSTRUCTIONS for " Femina" Hand Knitted Woollies. Dissolve "I no" soapflakes in boiling water and add the solut ion to luke warm water. vigorously into a good lather.

Place the garment in the solution and squeeze well to remove dirt. Rinse twice through luke warm water. Squeeze as much water as possible out of the garment and do not twist the garment. Pull gently into shape and dry on a flat surface in a gentle heat or in the open air. WARNINC: Do not, under any circumsta nces, wash the garment in hot or boiling water.

Change to No. 9 pins and continue in (k. 6, p. 3) rib as given at the commencement of the jumper, increasing 1 st. at both ends of the 5th and every following 6th row until there are 89 sts., then without shaping until the work measures 191inches from the commencement. K. 2 tog. at both ends of every row until 49 sts. remain. Cast off 9 sts. 4 times, then the remaining 13 sts.

Work a second sleeve m the same way. TO MAKE UP. Press the work lightly under a damp cloth, avoiding the lower edges to retain the tightness of the welt and cuffs. Join the side, sleeve and right shoulder seam. Join the left shoulder seam to within 2 inches of the neck. Make 2 buttonhole loops on the front and sew on buttons to correspond. Sew in sleeves, placing seam to seam. Turn back the cuffs of the long sleeves. Press all seams.
