BACKGROUND The strict regulations and the rise of online and mobile games, has tested Tom’s World.

With the rise of online and mobile games and Taiwan ’s strict regulations on electronic playgrounds Tom’s World was facing big crisis. The fact is, even though Tom’s World adheres to the principles of electronic playgrounds, The public's perception of Tom’s World is still poor, and the relationship between players and playground is interrupted after leaving. Moreover, the adhesion is not high. We hope to design novel service processes for original players, create a freely communicable and immersive game environment, and at the same time enhance the relationship between players and Tom’s World.

PROBLEMS With the net recommendation value -35 points, shows that there is indeed a service gap.

Machine partition chaos

Lack of storage place

Can't communicate with others

Bad line-up process

In the pre-test, we found that the store information and the machine partition are confused. This will cause difficulties for novice players who come to Tom’s World to choose the game machine. Besides, it doesn’t provide a place for players to exchange game-related information. Moreover, there is a lack of proper storage problems with rest space, poor queuing mechanism, and easy interference in the game process are common problems for both novice and professional players. These problems lead to Tom’s World net recommendation value of -35 points, which is far lower than the total industry average, showing Tom’s World there is indeed a service gap.
