• While it is true that most jewelers recommend getting these stones in various shades of light yellow, there are some gemologists who believe that the finest specimens of yellow sapphires come in a distinct shade of golden-orange.
PINK SAPPHIRE GEMSTONE • Another variant of very popular sapphire is the pink sapphire. The colors in these stones range from dark fuchsia to baby pink. They are extensively used in jewelry making. In some cases, pink sapphire stones that have reddish hues are considered to be rubies.
• The pink sapphires may also have a distinct purple hue which makes it a purple sapphire. It is important to note that purple sapphires are very much alike pink sapphires in terms of their color. The only thing that makes purple sapphires different from pink sapphires is that they have got vanadium in them.
GREEN SAPPHIRE GEMSTONE • When Titanium is combined with some iron and copper, then green sapphire is created.
• These stones may range from being dark bottle-green to pale olive green. • Green Sapphires are found sturdy, hard and durable when compared to emerald.
STAR SAPPHIRE GEMSTONE
• The star sapphire creates a star-like reflection due to a process known as asterism. • It do not refer any other color, but can be seen in shades like pink, blue, gray, black, yellow, white or purple. • The blue and pink star sapphires are considered the finest gemstone.
