TUNNEL EMERGENCY LIGHTING MANAGEMENT
TUNNEL EMERGENCY LIGHTING MANAGEMENT
WHAT IT IS GF TUNNEL is a system conceived to increase security in railway tunnels by remote control of the lights illuminating ways out, in compliance with RFI LF611A and 610B specifications. A simple click allows constant monitoring of security lights functioning (lights illuminating ways out, reference lights, LED lights indicating push emergency buttons), indicating
failures, anomalies and alarms in real time. GF TUNNEL permits significant economic savings during plant realization phase. Thanks to the use of Power Line, all communications between system modules exploit the line feeding the reference lights, avoiding any further dedicated cabling.

HOW IT WORKS GF TUNNEL consists of a control and command central unit composed by modules installed in the route/yard cabinet and by peripheral modules installed close to the emergency lights and push buttons. The peripheral modules check the state of functioning of the security lights (ways out lighting, reference lights, LED lights indicating emergency push buttons) and send indications of anomalies or failures to the central control unit installed in the cabinet. The peripheral modules, as well as performing the functions described above, transmit to the central unit the alarm signals from the emergency push buttons and feed the respective reference LED lights. All alarms and events recorded will then be sent by the central unit to the supervisor software through a RS485 connection with dedicated or yard PLC. Transmission of all signals is through Power Line in the reference lights power supply.
