Urban Redevelopment Authority collaborated with agencies, local stakeholders and Temasek Poly - School of Design to generate new ideas to enliven Changi Point area with creative new uses for the existing buildings and recreational activities that can be added in future. The collaboration is to raise awareness on the rich built and natural heritage of ChangiPoint, bring stakeholders together, and give students the opportunity to work on design briefs which are relevant to the real world.

OVERVIEW OF PROJECT: MACRO SCALE REPLACEMENT & REDESIGNED AREAS
BACKGROUND CHANGI POINT IS A TIMELESS NEIGHBOURHOOD ESTATE THAT IS RICH IN ITS HISTORY.THE PLACE HAS A STRONG SENSE OF IDENTITY AND THE COMMUNITY THAT REMAINS RELEVANT ARE MOSTLY CYCLIST, RESIDENTS AND THE OLDER GENERATION. I SAW THIS AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO DEVELOP THE ESTATE INTO A PLACE THAT IS MORE RESILIENT AND A MORE PEOPLE-CENTRIC NEIGHBOURHOOD THAT IMPROVE ITS RELEVANCE TO A LARGER COMMUNITY. A PLACE THAT IS MORE CONNECTED TO VARIOUS AGE GROUPS WHILE MAINTAINING ITS HERITAGE AND CURRENT COMMUNITY.

Exhibition at Civil Service Club Changi that showcased the ideas and concepts for Changi Point by Temasek Polytechnic’s Diploma in Environment Design students. My project was selected to present to Dr Maliki Osman.

INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE GARDENS BY THE BAY My task there involves participation in day to day operations of conservatory works at Flower Dome , on- site project management, change of display , labels, tags of plants, technical drawings, hand & digital 3d renderings of props design for future floral displays , model making of conceptual designs, I was involved in the planning for the both display show props of Summer in Wonderland and Sakura Matsuri 2020. Selected images are process works of one of the props that i’ve developed of the two display shows under the Mentorship of Ms Marziah, Senior Assistant Director of Conservatary Operations, whom is in-charge of the gardens design at Flower Dome of Gardens by the Bay . Sakura Matsuri was displayed on March 2020 . I learnt to work in a team of passionate individuals, working with different proffesionals and learnt to multi-task different task at once. This internship has brought me a very meaningful experience and be able to experience to design for display shows from its ideation phase to its developmental phase , i’ve acquired knowledge beyond the design scope , such as hortriculture knowledge as there were frequent visits to in-house glasshouses and plant nursery to check the conditions and growth of plants before being displayed.for shows.
