Villa Stein: An Abstracted Model Instructor - Adrian Phiffer | Fall 2019 A 3D-printed abstracted model of Corbusier’s Villa Stein, showing the rigid use of the grid as well as the “seemingly fortuitous” nature of his plan. This was used as a precedent for Pragma House.

Thoughts on Student Housing Instructor - Victor Perez-Amado | Winter 2020 A drawing of my living space as a contemplation of my experiences with student housing. In Toronto, I have lived in a hotel-turned-student-residence, a rooming house where with one bathroom and six residents, a doorless den in a luxurious condo, and a small micro-apartment in a renovated Victorian home. My experiences in the shortcomings of student spaces in Toronto in terms of affordability, flexibility, and convenience is considered in Facet Towers.

Forms Enveloping Forms Instructor - Dan Briker | Winter 2018
A pavilion housing the works of artist Ruth Asawa situated in Cloud Gardens in downtown Toronto. The pavillion displays characteristics similar to the sculptures it showcases, however it remains subdued; careful as not to take attention away from the artwork. The red metal framing relates to existing structural elements in the park.
Daniels x Lululemon Meditation Pavilion Instructor - Jay Pooley | Summer 2019
A two-week intensive studio course in collaboration with Lululemon to design meditation pods that will be placed outside one of their storefronts. It aims to introduce and promote mindfulness and mental wellbeing to pedestrians. Team members: Chloe Lauder, Derrick Wong, Evan Guan, Filipe Costa, Ghalia Nahlawi, Gian Lorenzo Giannone, Jonas Juodis, Jue Wu, Michelle Liu, Sara Ghorbanpour, Sumaiya Sheikh, Susel Naranjo Vega, Yalda Albarn
During this project I focused on the development of the exterior screen that would provide privacy for the pavilion’s users. We were asked by Lululemon to incorporate their fabric into it. Challenges included were developing an assembly for the metal frame, designing a sewing template for the fitted sheet, and creating prototypes for its lighting fixture.
thank you.
