In the process of the library scale analysis, I found that the elements of the library facade are in a more elegant position. In the overall elevation drawing, the library's aspect ratio is 11 to 5, and the design of the library fully conforms to the golden ratio defined by Da Vinci.

Light is sacred, and the light in tadao ando's church of light is a guide and a purification of the soul. Light is closely related to People's Daily life, and studying the application of light and shadow in architectural design is also the main content of applying the optical principle to architectural design. Usually, natural light for the structure of the building external shape is critical in natural light to compare strong, light and shadow effect on the shape of external form of the architecture, more can reflect shaping effect through the light and shadow, shaping the examples of architecture form, construction especially in ancient Greece period, so obviously in order to make best use of the characteristics of light and shadow effect, communicated in architectural design, the building as a root sculpture, in order to strengthen the construction of dimension sense, make full use of the Mediterranean strong light and shadow in the ancient Greek architecture, as shown in the most typical is the ParthenonColonnade outside, the wall, under the action of sunlight, and darkness appearance brings a strong sense of rhythm, through the dark parts of the eaves and walls, external sense of sunshine formed obvious foil.

7

In the design process, the humanities connotation can through the medium of smooth shadow let people profound experience in life, the light can reveal life, through the understanding of light, to be able to provide the conditions for light and shadow play space artistic sunshine, often means that warm light and hope, in the people in the dark for a long time in the sun will get no copy of attachment and security in the environment full of sunshine, the shadow of the role are equally important, reasonable use of light and shadow, effective service for the life of people, also accord with the development direction of modern building energy conservation and environmental protection.Secondly, in architectural design, the artistic charm of light and shadow varies with different cultural backgrounds.

Light is also permitted to seep into the interior from the slicing of the volume by the freestanding concrete wall. The darkness of the chapel is further accentuated by the dark and roughtextured wood of the floor planks and the pews which are built out of reused wood used during construction scaffolding.

The space of the chapel is defined by light, by the strong contrast between light and shade. In the chapel light enters from behind the altar, from a cruciform cut in the concrete wall that extends vertically from floor to ceiling and horizontally from wall to wall, aligning perfectly with the joints in the concrete. From this cruciform shape an abstract and universal light seems to be floating on the concrete wall, its rays extending and receding over time with the movement of the sun. 1.https://www.archdaily.com/868157/ fluid-luminosity-the-architectural-lightingof-zaha-hadid, viewed,08.23.2018

While geometry has evolved significantly throughout the years, there are some general concepts that are more or less fundamental to geometry. These include the concepts of points, lines, planes, surfaces, angles, and curves, as well as the more advanced n o t i o n s o f m a n i fo l d s and topology or metric Geometry has applications to many fields, including art, architecture, physics, as well as to other branches of mathematics. Caustics can be subtle and calm, or intense and dynamic, like the water caustics on the bottom of a swimming pool, but they almost without exception appear accidentally, as an unintentional, collateral presence of certain materials. The theme of the article is to highlight the important role of natural light in architecture. Natural light, or solar radiation absorbed by our sense of sight was a strong inspiration from ancient times. Originally constituted as a link between heaven and earth. It played a major role in shaping the places of worship, such as even Stonehenge. In the church architecture it was and still is the guiding element, the main matrix around builds an architecture narrative. Over the centuries, the study of the role of light in architecture, and in fact chiaroscuro, led to the culmination of solutions full of fantasy and “quirksâ€? in the Baroque era (Baroque with Italian barocco: strange, exaggerated). Enamored of carved body and the use of multipurpose ornament topped was the discovery of a concave-convex façade parete ondulata created by Francesca Borrromini. Conscious manipulation of light developed, at the time, to a maximum of the art illusion and optical illusions in architectural buildings.

15

Changing the perception of privilege in detail and introduce the principle of “beauty comes from functionality ” in times of modernism meant that architects started to look for the most extreme simplicity. Sincerity of forms, and thus the lack of ornamentation, however, did not result in a lack of interest in light. On the contrary, the light became detail, eye-catching element against a smooth surface of the wall. The continuation of this concept of creating a strong password exposing Mies van der Rohe’s „less is more” took over the architecture created in the current minimalism. To minimize the detail with the introduction of large glazing resulted in strengthening the effect of opening the flow of light and penetrating the interior to the exterior.

Juhani Pallasmaa in his deliberations considers scattered light and shadow stimulating imagination and dreams but he also thinks that bright, evenly distributed light overwhelms them. It is like in the world of architecture, as in the media world, the era of “ideologists” has ended and the era of “imaginists” has started. Architecture more often seduces us with flat images than spatial expressions. It is often overlooked that the architecture we can experience in daily life should have a concept – something that should create a real atmosphere of architecture.Light, as sunlight, perceived by our sight perception has been a source of inspirations since ancient times. Initially it was a connection between heaven and earth. In the Stone Age, light and its relation to a structure became an element of human emotions and beliefs because of human thought-out actions. It played a main role in shaping spaces of worship p l a c e s , l i ke S to n e h e n ge i n E n g l a n d . 1.J. Pallasmaa, “ The Eyes of the Skin. Light design serves for architecture, and architectural design includes light elements in addition to the building materials themselves; light reflects materials, colors, spatial depth and emotions. Architectural light design is a analysis process of light form. The use of light in design requires consideration of the characteristics of light, such as the refraction and reflection of light, which is very important for architecture. For example smooth glass, through the action of light, showing a crystal clear effect; flowing water in the light of the refraction, and it looks sparkling, full of smart beauty; metal material under the light mapping or reflection, gathered into a pan Light or glare makes people feel blurred, illusory, and relaxed. Perhaps, light is a magic weapon that architects use to decorate buildings.

23

A good architect should apply light as an effective material, and pay great attention to the decorative effect of light on the expression and mechanism of other materials. Correct application of the decorative effect of light can make other materials have their own value, so that the decorative effect of the building space can be improved. Some countries in the north do their utmost to maximize the use of natural light, such as the use of white concrete as the main material, which will make the light more transparent. The countries of the South also want to try this function of light. Natural light and building materials are inherently one. Regrettably, since the invention of artificial light, the design has been separated from the illumination, and light often becomes a follow-up behavior: only the shape of the existing building has been modified to emphasize or hide. Light is the source of all visual feelings. In the architectural space, the combination of light and shadow can make the architectural s p a c e m o re a r t i st i c a n d e m o t i o n a l . From a certain point of view, if there is no emotional factor in the architectural space, its artistic value will disappear. Because people in the building space will unconsciously communicate with the space emotionally, and light is an important means of creating emotional space in the building space, and is an important "language" that can express emotions.

In the architectural design, natural light is introduced mainly through the position, size, form and structure of the lighting opening, and the natural light is refracted or reflected to the ground or the wall to create a natural and simple atmosphere. Therefore, when applying natural light, it should pay great attention to the position, size, form, structure and other factors of the lighting opening, and design according to the orientation and area of the inner window of the building space. If the natural light enters the building room with insufficient light, a launching board can be provided to increase the brightness of the collected sunlight through the reflector. It can also choose light-tone building interior decoration, which can effectively increase the secondary reflectivity of light to achieve sufficient light in the room. Therefore, in the architectural design, the full application of light creation can make the architectural design rich in artistic value. The building mainly uses cement, light-transmissive cement and gypsum board as the main materials. As a modern building material, cement has become an indispensable building material in any construction project. Cement is an inorganic powdery material. Cement and water can form a slurry with fluidity and plasticity. With the extension of time, the cement slurry changes its plasticity into a hard solid. , has a certain strength, and can bond the block or granular material into a whole. The gray color of the cement gives a feeling of calmness. A special resin is combined with a new mixture to make a transparent cement. Buildings made of this kind of cement have a huge wall like a huge window. Sunlight can penetrate the wall and enter the room, which can reduce the amount of indoor lighting and save energy. Gypsum board can make the building more holistic.

Light has been linked with divinity and holiness in many different religions. In Christianity the Bible speaks of God who “is light” or Christ as “the light of the world”. Even if the divine light and visible light are not the same, visible light appears as the most similar to the heavenly and thereby links both spheres. Each epoch has formed a new language of light: The glow of the Romanesque apse, the golden shimmer of Byzantine mosaics or the luminous walls of Gothic stained glass. As an artist as well as an architect, Le Corbusier expressed an exceptional sensitivity for the interaction of colours and light in his sacred buildings. His position as an outspoken agnostic seems very ambivalent in combination with his desire to open the soul to poetic realms.

31

For example, the Japanese architecture “The Church of Light”, which was awarded the “Best of the 20th Century Church Award” by the Pope, the application of light to the right is a typical representative of the emotional creation in architectural design. Designed by Japanese architect A n d o Ta d a o , t h i s i s f a m o u s fo r i t s opening on the wall of a church with a cross-shaped slit that allows outdoor light to enter the church by “cutting ”.

This "cut" light design creates a special light and shadow effect that makes the church sacred and inviolable, giving the believers a strong spiritual shock that makes them close to God's illusion. In this emotional space created by light, the mind of the believer is baptized and becomes pious. The importance of visible light in creating emotional space in architectural design. The power of light is as good as the power after it is extinguished; the light and darkness interweave the shape of the building. Light is dialectical. When we talk about light, we can't avoid shadows. Shadow is the other side of light. From both sides, the shadow is the void and the light is the reality. When designing light, we pay more attention to light and ignore the shadow: while taking care of both will inspire design inspiration.

Designers should combine the culture a n d a r t i st i c e m o t i o n s o f l i g ht a n d architectural space to conduct a comprehensive and systematic study of light and shadow, so that the emotional value of light can be fully reflected.
