NCIS

After two dead bodies are found in an otherwise idyllic forest, an investigation by members of the NCIS team soon draws them into the strange and surprisingly wild world of modern-day treasure hunting in the new episode “Blood and Treasure.” Elsewhere, Gibbs and Fornell (Mark Harmon, recurring guest star Joe Spano) make their way deeper into their own search for an opioid kingpin. Tom Wilson, Sheva Cohen and Anthony Konechny also guest star; Sean Murray and Emily Wickersham also star.

In the tournament capper “Comfort Food Feud: Finale,” four champions from earlier rounds return to a colorfully decorated outdoor arena, where they do battle for the $25,000 grand prize, and the championship title. The ingredient baskets contain delicious reminders of the tournament’s culinary themes, starting with a special sandwich and a play on pot pies for the appetizer round. There’s a turkey stuffed with something shocking in the entree round, then two chefs compete in a dessert round that involves a monstrous mashup and mango ketchup. Ted Allen is host.

Movie: 40 Years a Prisoner

Filmmaker Tommy Oliver examines one of the most controversial shootouts in American history in this new documentary, an official selection of the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival. Using eyewitness accounts and archival footage of the incident, the film chronicles how on the morning of Aug. 8, 1978, the Philadelphia Police Department, at the direction of Mayor Frank Rizzo, conducted a raid on a radical, back-to-nature group called MOVE, firing thousands of rounds of ammunition into the West Philadelphia home occupied by the social justice group.
