The International UFO Museum and Research Center presents four days of lectures and presentations by the top experts in UFOlogy

Are we alone? That is the question. Anybody who has ever heard about UFOs, the 1947 “Roswell Incident,” or is simply curious about the latest releases by the government will be able to listen to the world’s experts on the subject at the UFO Museum Ufologist Invasion and ask their own questions.

And, the newly renovated and upgraded International UFO Museum and Research Center (IUFOMRC) offers many new surprises as well.

One of the original researchers of the “Roswell Incident” and current advisor to the museum’s board of directors is Donald Schmitt. He visits the museum several times a year.

Schmitt said that he was very impressed with the upgrades and changes. Among the new fixtures in the museum are electronic tablets.

“You just touch the screen and then you hear the testimony, the witnesses and other information regarding different aspects (of the alleged UFO crash outside of Roswell). The fact that the (UFO) debris was out there for days before it was even reported. What is crucial about that, nothing was reported missing. They (the military) weren’t looking for anything. If you have ever been out in that high desert area — and I have flown in small planes and helicopters over there — once you are airborne, you can see for 50 miles. Again, just very demonstrative of the fact, nobody was looking for anything. They weren’t testing anything. It was a holiday, the Fourth of July weekend, so the point being, whose was it? The argument was that it’s that top secret balloon. First of all, the balloon was not top secret, the project was. The balloon material was not, not for a second. And again, if they were so concerned finding it, they would have found it long before the rancher did. Because it was the wide-open high desert. That’s the science.

“Come to New Mexico. The fact that you see something that is only a couple of miles away doesn’t mean it was. You had to go over a ridge, maybe fence lines, maybe water tanks and windmills, that type of things.”

Schmitt is one of the speakers at the museum. He is going to talk about different aspects and also about the International Coalition on Extra-Terrestrial Research that was founded in May with scientists and researchers from 27 countries. Schmitt is the North American representative, he said. The organization wants to push governments to inform the public about UFO sightings and to reveal the truth. “It’s never happened before. Eventually we will be 50 countries and then we’ll put real pressure on the U.S. government,” he said.

Schmitt said that he is not comfortable with the recent releases by the Military. “I am concerned that what this may be their way of announcing the level or the extent of technology of Space Force because each branch of the Military is in competition with each other.

“It’s either going to come down to disclosure with a small ‘d,’” Schmitt said. “There is something out there, we still don’t know what it is, but we’re working on it. We need more time. We’ll report back to you next year and then the next year and next year — it gets them off the hook and they acknowledge there is something there — or it’s going to be something with Space Force. Look at the message it sends to the Russians and Chinese.”

Schmitt hopes that tourists and locals will visit the IUFOMRC to see the upgrades for themselves. “Come back and see us. It’s a lot of new displays, updated, upgraded, new information, bright, colorful, it is very well done. We are very pleased with it,” he said.

Dr. Donald Burleson has been part of the IUFOMRC circle of speakers for many years. He is a certified UFO field investigator, research consultant, and New Mexico state director for MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network. His column, “Looking Up,” has been part of the Roswell Daily Record and its VISION entertainment and event section since 1999. Burleson is a speaker at this year’s UFO Museum Ufologist Invasion.

Asked why their is no clear release by the military about the UFO phenomena, Burleson said, “The public can’t handle it — you see this excuse even in movies. Well, we can’t tell the public the truth because it would cause panic. If this may be true it’s hard to tell, I’ve always thought if we all of a sudden had a little grey alien on ‘Good Morn-
