2 As a designer, I enjoy creating bold designs and have a strong eye for detail and color in my projects. I am interested in branding, typography, package design and photography. A lot of my designs show a hint of my personality in them, such as being a simplistic yet quirky, energetic and confident person. I’m always looking for new adventures, experiences, and challenges. I have always been strongly passionate about music, dancing, food, and art.

AROUND THE BLOCK PRINT / BOOK Around The Block is a paper sample book that was created to show the essence of Vietnam, a country that is famous for its street food and its chaos. After living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for almost 8 years the designer wanted to create something that would make the viewer see how Vietnam is through her eyes. While flipping through the pages of the book, it builds an excited and thrilling experience, making the viewer want to fly out there and see what it is like. The content in the book suggests the best street food that can be found in the city of Saigon. The book was hand stitched with thread, it includes 3 folds and 6 die cuts. The color yellow represents happiness, positivity, and enthusiasm which makes up what Vietnam and its people resemble. The red shows energy and passion and the blue stands for joy which is what the street food brings. FORMULA–E PRINT AD CAMPAIGN / ADVERTISING / POSTER The Formula-E car racing is a motorsport that uses only electric powered cars which originated in 2011. Since then, it has become popular to the millennial target. The decision to do an art directed print advertisements and copy for this specific motorsport was because after researching the sports advertising there wasn’t a lot of content. The goal of the project was to create three different print ads with an interesting copy and imagery to show off the Formula-E racing motorsport, the designer came up with the copywriting for the ads and put the images together to give the Formula-E racing the feel it brings to people. The concept behind the campaign was to make it futuristic and display how they are not only electric powered cars but that they are fast. The designer used images that depicted fast motions, and colors that symbolize the future such as neons. The color blue used throughout
2
the campaign shows the target that it is a technology-driven brand. Besides the color use and imagery, the typography used was a clean, plain white and futuristic.

ICE BREAKER DRINKING GAME PACKAGE The Ice-Breaker package is a drinking game designed for couples, office colleagues, and a girls night in. The goal of the project was to create a package from two different objects that were chosen by the designer. In this case, a mini Jenga and a shot cup where chosen. The process of designing the package was long since the designer had to do a lot of research in different packaging ways to make the two different objects come together. The designer had done a couple of mockups before printing the final product. Each package was designed for a different target audience but had the same purpose, to get to know the person you were playing with. The concept behind this package design is a mid-century style. With graphics and colors that imply it is from that era. The imagery on the package are illustration graphics from the mid-century era, the images are usually found on newspapers and magazines a the time. The
3
typeface used throughout the package also gives the design an old style mood. The colors used are inspired by the mid centuries interior design colors used in homes.

ROALD DAHL BOOK COVERS BOOK / ILLUSTRATION The Roald Dahl Book Cover series was created for a younger audience, targetting teenagers and younger kids. Since Dahl usually tends to write books that have educational lessons and values, they have been very influential in most people’s lives growing up. The books covers that were recreated are his most famous ones and they have also been made into movies. Matilda, James and the Giant Peach and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where the chosen ones to do the covers for. The meaning behind the illustrative design for these series was due to the fact that target was a younger target so it would’ve been better to be created as a more friendly cover. The illustrations where mainly recreated from the scenes of the movies rather than the original book covers by Roald Dahl. The use of a old paper texture was chosen so
8
it wouldn’t look white and plain, this gives the cover a nice texture for the illustrations above and it goes well together, almost as if it is drawn onto to paper.

PA L M O L I V E C A M PA I G N PRINT / ADVERTISING / CAMPAIGN The Palmolive Campaign was created to show the Palmolive brand with much more creative and artistic. Palmolive has been around since 1898 and it’s known internationally across the world. The choice to make a campaign for this company it’s because, after a lot of research, it was a brand easy enough to use their own products in the advertisement itself and make it entertaining to the audience. The audience of this is both men and women who are college students or stay at home mom’s or dad’s and usually tend to wash dishes. The design was all made using a single scanner, the dish soap itself, water and a sponge. Plastic wrap was placed on top of the scanner so no water would damage it. The concept behind the project was to
9
do a design using the soap instead of just photographing a dish being cleaned with the product. It’s a completely different approach to normal boring advertisements.
